Hello everyone

I am not too thrilled about this snow we are in for today....

I am happy to report that I have a heater at work.  I ended up not buying one on my way to work and regretted it when I was there.  I complained to the IT guy...complete with a pout (with my arms crossed).  And he was able to find me another one!!!  Hahaha!!!  Never underestimate the power of a pout!!!!  I was nice and toasty warm the rest of the day.  Now I wonder what else I can get if I pout...hmmm???

They served us Jimmy Johns yesterday and cupcakes!!!  This place is really too much.  They were even saying that it's impossible to lose weight and work there.  I wanted to say...I lost 40 lbs since I started here...but I felt like that would be showing off.  But someone did point to me and say "Crystal is good, she never has the bad stuff"  And I didn't have the cupcakes and with the Jimmy Johns, I ate the meat and threw away the bread (I always get a plain sandwich without cheese).  It's sooo much bread...too many carbs.

Nothing going on today but work and working out (which I am going to do a full workout today).  And then that's it for me.  How about you guys???

Well time to go get ready for work...see ya later...bye

Good Morning,

It looks to be the beginning of a messy day. Some of the counties south of St. Louis, have already cancelled school for today.

FYI, When an iceburg starts to look blue, it is dying. More water is getting sucked up into it, causing it to become heavier, and in time it will sink.

I think i will head out and do some errands this morning, before the snow flys.

Sharon, please be careful when you are out there working. You have a dangerous job, especially if you are working inner city stuff.

BTW, I wear sweats and socks to bed, year round. I also use a quilt, a blanket and a sheet. Hubby, is in his briefs and maybe a T, and sleeps with no cover on. He doesn't understand why I am cold, and I don't understand how he sleeps.

Have a great day.

Hugs,

LISA

Lisa-  I don't understand men...how can they be hot like that???  I used to sleep in sweats too...till I discovered how comfy my Cuddl Dudds are to sleep in.  They are sooo cozy and soft.  I throw a large t-shirt over, because they are form fitting.

Thanks Lisa, I am very careful. I learned when I was 25 to always be aware of my surroundings. I got mugged and it was an eye-opener. To this day, I never look down at my feet when i go anywhere. I look at everything and everyone.

I'm more like your hubby when he sleeps, my hubby is like you; wrapped in a down blanket with socks and sweats on????? I dont know how he sleeps. We have a king size bed and we do not share covers. I learned 13 years ago, if we share covers we will be in separate bedrooms. He didnt go for that idea, so we have separate covers.

Have a good day!

Hugs,

Sharon

I have to go to the DRS today to sign a plan for the next year.  I will likely tell them one more time what a bunch of do nothings they are.  I have already written the Cook County Web Master this morning telling him that I think access to employment records is not in accordance with Obama's mandate to make public information public.  The good old boy network in Texas has nothing on that of priveledge found here.

Randy

So you have been forgiven?

Happy Friday Eve Everyone!

I am sitting here in denial of the weather     I figure that way it will not happen.    What I am more afraid of is sleet and freezing rain.

Today I have to go pay an arm and a leg for gas.  Pretty soon we will be at over $4.00 a gallon.  It is getting ridiculous.

Crystal, I think someone as pretty as you could get almost anything they want with a good pout.  By the way, is the IT guy single?  We have Jimmy Johns for lunch today but we have to pay for it.

Lisa, I hope you get all your running around done before the snow flies.

Randy, I agree with you on the posting of salaries.  However when I worked for the U of I  my salary was public.  I just tried to ignore the fact and went about my business.  I figured if someone wanted to go to all that trouble to look it up, then fine.  I just chalked them up as nosey.

Sharon, keep warm and safe out there.  We want you around for all your good news.  I get cold sometimes at night as well.  I wore slippers to bed last night and when I awoke this morning, I wondered why my feet felt different walking to the bathroom.

Dawn, I am so sorry the playhouse is getting political.  I wonder if politics will clean up the place and do all the grunt work?  It would be interesting to see that happen!  I feel sorry for the kids.  They should not be having to deal with this.

Connie, enjoy the snow!

Everyone have a safe day and have a great day.  Dont forget to find those sled dogs before you need them tomorrow.

Ah... The ITguy is married. The last of the true family men too. He's a great father, even coaches track at the high school. You just don't see many like him. Not like that other slimy married guy here that is alway****ting on me!!! Blah!!!

Good morning!

Yesterday I got this pedal machine to put under the desk to use when I am knitting or at the computer. I had borrowed one from a friend that cost $99 and so I thought I'd check out Amazon first. They had one with a monitor that cost me $22. That's the one I bought and it seems just as good as the more expensive one which has things on it I'd never use. Over the years with washers and dryers and stoves and even computers, I've found the low end model does everything I want it to do and costs way less.

Concerned about driving later today so I think I'll go out this AM and pick up a few things and then get home. Might go to the Bookworm and finish my shawl. I have one row to finish and then block it. I'll post a pic after it's done.

Have a good day!

Connie
