Good afternoon Christine and the rest of Illinois!
I am working today, then the airport tonight then home.
We had a nice weekend. Friday I went to the library to get something to listen to in the car. Todd and I just stayed in and relaxed. Saturday, he took me to Monroe for a late lunch and I found a teal fleece jacket for $ 20.00. We ate at Pancho and Lefty's which has the BEST food on the Square. The couple who own it used to work for Ben and Jennifer Afflack. They are very nice and he comes up with some delicious combinations. I always have left-overs, which makes it twice (or 3 times) as nice!
Yesterday, we held an Eagle Scout Ceremony for one of Todd's Scouts and the Scout gave Todd his Eagle Mentor pin. The boy gets 3 pins to give away, one for his mother, one for his father and one for someone who made a difference in his life. The gave this last to Todd. Todd was surprised and of course, it brought tears to my eyes. The father also choked up with emotion as he read the letter that Mike Row (Dirty Jobs) sent. It was a very nice ceremony and a fitting send off for Todd as he has stepped down as the Scoutmaster. He will still be involved, but not in charge.
I made ribs for dinner and actually nailed it this time. They can be tricky and some times I wind up throwing them away because they get overcooked.
Gotta get back to it.
Have a wonderful day!
