Nancy, this was across the whole department. The only one they kept in the southern section, besides the boss, was the lowest paid girl. And she is only getting 2 days a week.

Nancy- I pretty much cut out all bread and pasta out of my diet.  And the stuff I do eat is organic...and not GMO.  The only thing I am still stuck on is my flour tortillas.  But I eat maybe 2-3 a week (that includes Chipotle).  I guess when you grow up in Aurora, in a mostly Hispanic neighborhood...and your only family is Puerto Rican...you can expect some of your habits to be Hispanic.  My tortilla habit is one of them.  Before surgery I ate about 2 packages a week!!!  I also love the Adobo...it's a spice they use.  It's really good on eggs.

You know what else is really horrible with GMO...corn.  I love corn too.  But unless you eat organic, you pretty much can expect you are eating GMO.  But the bad thing is the corn is in everything that High Fructose Corn Syrup...which is almost everything nowadays!!!

Oh I can talk and talk about this subject. Not only have I read so much about this subject but Amanda has really educated me on this subject.

The scary thing is wheat is not just in bread and pasta.  It is in things you would never imagine such as root beer, cornbread, ice cream, sherbet, pudding, salad dressing, hot dogs, sausage, lunch meats, cottage cheese, soups, worcestershire sauce, soy sauce, foods containing msg etc to name a few items.  Even chocolate can have wheat in it!    Noooooo.  Dont take my chocolate!

By the Way,

Crystal and Sharon, I want to come back as a cat in my next life.  Preferably one in a home like mine!  I love all of God's creatures.  They did not ask to be abandoned or abused and if I can ease their suffering or offer them comfort, then I will.  Call me Sucker.  IT is stamped on my forehead.  That is why I have so many cats.

Good morning Crystal and the rest of Illinois!

Working today, then home to make the parmesan chicken.  If it is good, I will post the recipe.

I did not have to go to the airport last night, the shifts were full.  With all the sickness I have had lately, I miss being there.  Hopefully, I am done with sickness.

Thanks for the article Crystal.  I try to eat cleanly also, but reminders are good.

Lisa, the state can be very frustrating.  I hope it all works out soon.

Nancy----I would LOVE to be a cat in your home.  You take such good care of them.

Connie--Your back porch looks so inviting!  A great place to curl up with a book.

Sharon---you are doing an awesome job.  Keep up the great work.  WLS helps with portioning, but YOU have to have the motivation to exercise to get the full benefit.

Randy----working hard at Python?

I am considering making all natural beauty products and trying to sell them to see if I could possibly make any $$$.  I have a great recipe for lotion bars, sugar scrub, body butter and lip balm.  I was in the store the other day and saw that Burt's Bees gets $13.00 for 8 oz of sugar scrub!  That is crazy!  Riley can make sugar scrub on her own.

Well.....enough dreaming for me.  Gotta get back to work.

Everyone have a wonderful day!

Dawn-  Oh and I'm addicted to Burt's Bees lip balm.  I had to actually go count...I have 5 lip balms from them just at home (I think I have 2 at work)!!!  What can I say I like soft lips that are chemical free.

No actually the reason I use them is because of Amanda of course.  Amanda is so smart, she thinks about things I never think of.  She told me once you need lip balm that has no alcohol in it because otherwise you're just re-drying your lips.  Um duh...right???  I mean what does alcohol do to skin...dries it.  How come I never thought of that???  Amanda...she's got smarts real good!!!!  Well I looked...almost ALL lip balms have alcohol in them!!!  You have to look for substitute names like..isopropyl, methanol, ethanol B...that kind of stuff.  Look they all do.  Well my trusty Burts Bees does not...so I just stick with them.

The same thing with hand lotion...it's really hard to find lotion without alcohol in it.

You should make sure you make stuff and point that out in your marketing!!!!  Free of charge!!!  I would soooo switch brands to yours if you are alcohol free!!! Bonus if you do tinted lip balms.  I like tinted...something subtle..not pink either.

No alcohol, that is counter-productive!  Just natural things like raw shea butter, beeswax from a local bee-keeper, raw cocoa butter, organic coconut oil..........
