Saturday Roll Call

I only did 20 toe touches yesterday and totally failed at not taking out the garbage.  The whole idea was to not go out on the ice but I even got out and walked to the new location for Frank's Chicago Shrimp House to get supper.

Oh well, today is another day and I think I understand how to get this place.  It is only like 1600 south something or other.

The group will be working on tracking data for Cook County Jail.

What are the rest of us up to?

Randy

So you have been forgiven?

Good Morning,

Working on housework today, then going to Peoria to see Jrff Dunham. I bought the tickets in October, i think, as Hubert's Christmas gift.

I went to the Skin Dr. yesterday. The sore on my back came back benine. The name is 3 words long, I can't prononce it, but it means thickened skin. Or a bed sore. He said that it is a slow healer, but will improve.

Hugs,

LISA

Lisa- How do you get a bed sore?  You don't lie in bed all of the time?  I thought you got bed sores (pressure wounds) from lying on the same spot for long periods of time???

When I worked for Comfort Keepers there were several clients I would have to "flip" or "turn" every hour to make sure they didn't get these.

Crystal,

I agree with you. It could be likened to a bed sore, because where it is at, there is constant rubbing by the back of my slacks. Just so it doesn't get worst. I did decide that if it doesn't go away within a couple ofmonths, I will be going somewhere else.

Hello everyone

Well I have been feeling much better...I'm at about 98%.  I never got really sick.  Not like I used to.  Then that got me thinking...I wonder if my weight has something to do with it.  At some point in my 30's when I would get sick...I got REALLY sick and I would be in bed for a week.  I stopped getting just a simple cold...and would get these major illnesses.  And one round of antibiotics would rarely help.  Hence, why I became such a germ-a-phobe.  So when I got sick last week I was bracing myself for another huge bout of sickness.  But it was a normal sickness...in fact it was almost nothing.  I felt a little stuffiness and my ears were clogged, I felt tired...but that was it.  Nothing.  So that had me thinking maybe obesity suppresses your immune system...making it harder to fight off infection???  Hmmm....

I finished all my stuff at work yesterday.  Boy the last 2 days at work were like a whirl wind.  Because not only did I have that auditing project to finish.  We also had the last day of period 1 to close and people were handing me stacks of credits and debits and offsets and saying this has to be done before the end of the day.  Everything that I did yesterday HAD to be done before the end of the day!!!  But I got it done.

Then I got the errands I wanted to do done.  I came home ate...and then worked out.  I came home relaxed and I was pooped by 11:30.

Today I am going back to Walmart and then to JC Penney...I need to buy some new undies.  My old ones are too big and it's time to get new ones.  I am also going to go to the library.  I decided to do laundry today because the weather looks yucky tomorrow.  I don't want to be running back and forth in the rain.  And of course the normal cleaning.  That's my day in a nutshell.

Yesterday when I left to go to work the parking lot was like a skating rink.  It was bad.  I put on my trusty ole' spikeys and it was a snap.  I love those things...and thank Christine for telling me about them every time I have to use them.  I can walk like normal on ice with these things on my feet.  Everyone else was shuffling along and holding on to their cars.  One of neighbors even said 'wow..you got good balance" and I said "nope...I have spikes on" and I showed him.  He thought they were very handy.

Well time to eat breakfast....see ya later peoples...bye

Hi friends,

Last night we went to Greenfire and had baby back Alligator ribs with cajun sauce and sweet potatoes with bourbon.Absolutely delicious. The alligator has smaller ribs than a pig but the meat was delicious. Kay and rabbit and crawfish etouffee and that was really good too. Of course we have leftovers for tonight. I love cajun food since we went to New Orleans and found out that it was favorful and not actually spicy. I love having unusual food and the fistulas were calm so that's good too. Today the Bookworm has gumbo sos that will be lunch with the knitting.

Have a nice Saturday!

Connie

Hola Illinois Peeps!

I was bleary eyed this morning and was not in the correct mood to type so I thought I'd try to catch up now. I was not over-served or hung-over, just stayed up til 2a and then got up at my regular time today because my body clock is a stubborn SOB.

I also have been suffering with the DOMs and have not been sleeping so well. Their intesity was increasing for 2 days. Tonight I am a bit better.

Randy, we have a Frank's Chicago Shrimp in Mokena on Wolf Rd. We go there when we want the Chicago Style Shrimp. Yum! Randy I heard the county jail is loaded with the stomach flu. What kind of data do you track there?

Lisa, I am sorry to hear about the bed-sore. They are very painful. I took care of my mom and had to turn her every hour. When she went in the hospital for a week they put her on an air mattress but she still got one. She used to cry. It broke my heart. Enjoy Jeff Dunham with Hubert.

Chris, Enjoy the Valentine with your hubby tonight

Crystal, I think when you work out a lot your body does not get as sick as when you dont. I have even heard you stop getting viruses when you have been working out for awhile. Who knows why. I just sniff my lavender essential oils more and am  using hand sanitizer when I am out and about and so far nothing too serious. I do not recall the last time I was sick and needed real medicine. KNOCK ON WOOD!

Connie, you and Kay are real brave. Alligator ribs. I don't think so........BTW, your porch is beautiful.

Nancy, Enjoy your time with Gage. Time is a precious thing and a wonderful gift. I spent an unexpected friday with my daughter and grand-babies. It was as perfect as it gets. I am blessed.

Dawn, thanks for the info about Kayak. They did give me much better prices for flying to NYC. I was able to book much cheaper.

Well, I have a green paste on my face. I am giving myself a mask, then I am going to take a shower, shave everything (TMI) and then put fractionated coconut oil with frankincense all over  this old hot bod. LOL crying

Tomorrow is church and in the evening we are doing a Dave Ramsey finance class for 9 weeks. Should be interesting.

Talk tomorrow, peeps!

Sharon
