Saturday Roll Call
I guess all of the working girls and mouse haters are sleeping in this morning.
Head cold may be waining. We will see. Spent yesterday listening to old talks on the GIL in Python. Sort of like a traffic cop for the processors. Likely more of that or of the Rice course today except Sherry wants to go spend money.
What is the rest of Illinois doing?
Hi Randy,
Glad you are feeling better.
We went to dinner at Gordon Biersch in Bolingbrook yesterday and again i was up all nite with GERD. Ugh. So i slept in until 7a. When I have this, nothing helps except sleeping upright. Alka seltzer, my old standby doesnt even work. I am going to talk to the chiro about this. I need relief.
It felt good to walk in the tundra yesterday. The sun was yummy. I am a true polar bear. This weather doesn't bother me in the least. I had 3 pair of leggings on and I was toasty.
I'm with Sherry, I am thinking of trying Tuesday Morning today to locate my wool blanket. So far the price hasnt been right for the ones I looked at on line. If I can talk Grathell into it, I am heading in that direction. Groupon has a special for Blueberry Hill, maybe I can finagle him with the promise of breakfast.
The bird feeders have been emptying quickly. I like to feed my little friends suet in the winter for better energy. I have been saving bacon grease and i am going to try making my own. i think it would be healthier than the store bought kind.
Well, I have a day planned to do nothing. I LOVE IT.
Stay toasty my lovelies.
Sharon
Sharon- you people and your Arctic walks...I don't get it. I just don't get it. These are the same walks I used to find miserable as a kid!!! Just a walk from the car to the door of the store is miserable to me. YUCK!!!
Now give me a beautiful sunny 75-80 degree day with a light breeze...the birds chirping...the smell of fresh cut grass in the air...green leaves on trees...flowers every where.... I'm wearing capris and a t-shirt and flip-flops...oh yes...I love it!!! Now I am depressing myself...I want June here so bad I would sacrifice a virgin at the alter of Summer... now to find me a virgin
Oh and now I have a pool. So Saturday morning I can go lay by the pool with a book and an ice tea!!! AHHHH....
that all sounds better that freezing my hoo-ha's off in -20 weather!!!!
Hello everyone
Yeah the weekend is here... we got snow and I'm not happy about it but I guess I will live (maybe). I just have to keep telling myself 2 more months...just 2 more months...and things will get better. I know when spring comes I will miss my garden...but I will indulge in my new hobby...auto maintenance.
I don't know if it was because I wasn't feeling well or what but I lost 3 1/2 lbs. this week. My biggest one week loss in a long time. Funny thing is I took it really easy at the gym so I was expecting no change or a gain. So I am happy. First being able to fit into all those jeans last week and now I lose more weight. Yahoo!!!
Funny thing did happen with the hot guy...we happen to be leaving at the same time yesterday. So we both were sitting at the stop sign and I took off and looked back and left him wayyy behind. Now I do tend to drive a bit fast. Ok...who am I kidding...the only time I enjoy driving is when I'm driving fast. I have to constantly monitor my speed because if I don't, I will look and I'm going 20 over the speed limit..YIKES!!!! I would be dangerous in a sports car and my family pretty much told me to never buy one...hahaha!!!! (which by the way I would love to have a 64' Mustang!!!) Well anyway later last night I was taking out the garbage and there's hot guy and he says to me "you know you drive like a maniac" and I said "ya I have been told...why does it bother you"...and he said "no just putting it out there" and me for the first time (I think ever) said something remotely flirty, I said "well if you ever want to live dangerously you can hop in my car" hahaha...and I walked a way. That does sound flirty right??? But not ****ty? I don't want to sound ****ty
Well anyway today I am going to Walmart again because I forgot to pickup a couple things yesterday. I was thinking about going over to the used bookstore....yep I think I may do that. I also have things to do around here. And of course workout. So what are you guys doing today???
So I guess I will get going now...have good Saturday everyone...see ya later...buy
Good Morning,
Randy, unlike you, I think we all work that are on here. I can't speak for everyone else, but when I have days off, I have a house to clean and errands to run. I sure don't sleep in, I was up at 6 this morning.
Yesterday, which is usually my main cleaning day, I had to go to aDr. visit in Peoria, go to a medical supply store, to Sams for a few things, then to Kroger on my way home. Then to the car dealership, for Hubert to pick up his "new" suburban, to the insurance office, and then after everything was unloaded from my SUV, we met friends for dinner.
Today, I have been cleaning, then changed a few cabinets out, I still have my bathroom to clean, and start picking up the dining room.
It sounds like everyone has plans for today. I am glad the snow isn't slowing anyone down.
Have a great day,
Hugs, LISA
Good Afternoon Everyone!
Unlike Lisa, I did sleep in both days. When I get the day off, I take advantage of it and sleep longer. I must not get enough ot sleep during the week. I usually end up only getting 6 hours a night and by weekend it catches up with me. I have not really done anything too productive in the 2 days that I have been off. I have enjoyed sleeping and playing with the cats. Today Everyone got a turn at loving.
We did get some snow overnight. I guess it is time. But Phil did not see his shadow today so we are going to have an early spring if you can believe a groundhog.
Crystal, I am with you on speed. I catch myself flying a lot of times. I try to stay out of trouble but love to go fast.
Randy, glad you are feeling better.
Lisa, it seems that your are on a positive run of good news with doctors lately. That is wonderful!
Sharon, I love Tuesday Mornings. Also try to go online to the Vermont Country Store. They have some really good blankets from the "olden" days. They carry my favorite cotton blanket from my childhood. Their products are of very high quality.
Dawn, I hope you are enjoying your fun weekend.
Everyone have a great day!
