Monday Roll Call

Hello Everyone

I don't know if it was because I laid around too much yesterday but I woke up early today and I just don't feel right.  My stomach is upset...and I don't know if it's upset, upset...or if it's my Band (I don't think it's my band).  I feel dizzy.  Every time I get up I feel very light headed and have a head rush.  I just feel blah.  Of course I still have to go into work because today is my busy day and the business might do me good.  See this is what I get for being wayyy too lazy.   

I have nothing going on today but work and I'm going to see how I feel later so I may not workout. 

Even though it's going to be rainy I am looking forward to the warm temps and I'm breaking out the spring jacket for a day or two!!!  Yeah!!!   

I did talk to Amanda yesterday...did I mention that she is getting certified in teaching ESL (English as a second Language) through the US and the Peace Corp is paying for it.  So when she comes back she has a fall back job.  The reason why she is doing this is because one of her goals there is to establish Eco-tourism.  and she needs to have tour guides that speak English...and she needs to teach them!!!!  She also has a goal to plant 1,000 trees and one of the ways she is going to do this is to have the tourists do it.  Have a tourist plant a tree and they get a button that says "I planted a tree in Peru" ....I think that's a cool idea!!!!  The tourist would pay to plant the tree while on a hike and they get the privlidge of saying they did.  I would totally do that if I was vacationing there.  My Amanda is a creative thinker.

Oh my!  I am not awake yet and have a cold in my head so I read that as eco-terrorism.

Guess I better get back to my Pythonating except I nedd to get out and get some more alka seltzer and eggs.

Randy-  Hahaha...I can just see my daughter promoting eco-terroisim.  Although, I did scroll up quickly to make sure I did spell tourism...hahaha!!! 

Funny when she was given a title of protective eco...something (who can remember these titles) I asked her how she was going to protect it...with a GUN....and she said "Funny mom...hahaha...not everything has to be violent!!!"  I told her I know I was just trying to be funny...but in Peru I would use a gun...hahaha!!!  She still wasn't amused...I don't think she gets my humor...oh well

I just looked at the temp, and it was 50'.

Crystal, be careful. You could be getting the flu.

We laid around all day yesterday too. We watched Bad Teacher on Netflix, it was so funny. I also made a great supper.

Today, I will see Dr. Guskie. at his Hoffman office. We will see what he has to say about revision. I have one more Dr. visit on Friday. Then hopefully I am done for a while. Wait!  I still have the annuals to do, plus blood work, then see the pcp again .

Lisa -  I feel a little better with some food in my tummy.  Maybe I needed to eat....who knows.  I still feel a little ick. 

That was a funny movie...believe it or not I had teachers almost as bad as that one. 

My supper didn't turn out well.  I didn't use my glasses when I turned on the oven and I had the temp wrong (I had it on 350 instead of 300) !!!  It came out bad!!!  I will have to try again. 

Crystal, Your Amanda is amazing.

I think you can still buy electric skillets. I love mine for a few things. Cube Steaks, Swiss Steak, Fried Chicken.

Crystal, take it easy. The stomach flu is going around and there is dizziness and head ache involved per my daughter who has it. Feel better.

Lisa, I hope you get your revision. 

Randy, I hope you feel better after you eat some protein.

I have to go help a friend sort out some health insurance paperwork issues she is having and that is about it for me today. I also have some cleaning I'd like to tackle in my office.

Good Morning Everyone!

It is a rainy Monday but it is warm and the ice has melted away!  We did not go to the wild game feed yesterday because it was at the height of the ice storm and very slippery outside.  I had no desire to go sit on my rear outside.  And I am sure that is where I would have been. 

Saturday night we put in for a take out order of wings from a local bar.  I had seen someone at lunch eating them and they were so meaty and looked like drumsticks. They were heavenly.  We got an order of 50 for $30 and have gobs leftover.  They freeze well.  Gage was really scarfing them down as he love chicken.  So we had those for supper Saturday night and for lunch Sunday.,  And still have lots left over.  We just lazed around yesterday. 

Gege did not wing any more money on Saturday   but he had a great time!  So it turned out to be a good day for him. 

Crystal, I hope you are not coming down with that norovirus that is going around.  I hear it is nasty. Take care of yourself.  What an awesome idea Amanda has.  She will go far in life!

Lisa, good luck at your doctors.  I really hope you can get your revision.  Hang in there and keep plugging for it!

Randy, another cup of coffee and some alka seltzer and you should be good to go.  Hope you feel better soon. 

Sharon, what a sweetie you are to help your fried through the insurance maze.  I have learned long ago that you have to play their game and keep being persistant and it will pay off.  Usually they deny you and think it is done because the majority will go away after the first denial.  If you pursue it you usually win.  I have only lost once and that was because a doctor was not cooperating. 

Dawn, I hope you are feeling better.  It is to awful to keep getting sick.  I hope your weekend with David also went ok.  My thoughts were with you.

Chris, come out and play with us.

Karen and Georgie, I hope both of you are ok.

David is David.

He was very helpful, went and got my medicine and heated me up some lunch yesterday.  He also put salt on the ice as soon as I asked.  BUT.......he went out Saturday night and said he would be home late.  He showed up about 1:45 yesterday afternoon .

I asked if he would be home for dinner yesterday and he said he would.  I made a nice dinner and about 45 minutes before it was done, he left to see a friend who was celebrating his birthday.

He was in his bed this morning and was supposed to come back to Rockford with me, but would not get up.

The good news is that he was pleasant to be around, except for his relationship with Olivia.  The have great animosity.

I truly appreciate the good thoughts! 

Good morning Crystal and the rest of Illinois!

I am back at work and feeling MUCH better.  Not perfect, but better than I have the last 12 days.  I just could not believe I could have an infection after a round of antibiotics so I kept putting off calling the doctor.  I had flank pain, lower back pain, joint pain, urinary issues, body aches, and pain in my chest with deep breaths.  Turns out, it was a kidney infection and it's a good thing I went to the doc when I did.  My friend here at work had a friend in the ER on Sunday who was unresponsive and drooling due to a kidney infection.  I felt truly terrible on Friday and Saturday was worse, but Yesterday, after sleeping for close to 15 hours, I felt more functional and today I feel actually human.

I tried to "buck up" on Saturday since Riley was so excited to be coming to Rock City.  I went to lunch with Todd and stopped at the store before picking her up.  We got to Rock City and did a couple of projects then I crashed.  Todd and Liv had to take care of getting her to bed and getting up with her yesterday.

That is really cool about Amanda, and I have been interested in eco-tourism.  There is a cool place on St. John that has tent-like cabins and I would love to try it.  Also, take good care of yourself......don't get sick.

Lisa, I hope the rash is nothing, but it sounds painful.

Nancy, that sounds cool about Gage being able to "win" money.  Too bad he didn't get any this time.  We love wings too and that price almost sounds less expensive than making them yourself!

Randy, you are truly impressive, having the ability to do programming.  I failed COBOL three times before I gave up.

Gotta get back to work.
