Sunday Roll Call
Hello everyone
From what I understand the rain and ice is supposed to happen this afternoon...at least that is what WGN said last night.
I got all my running around and laundry done yesterday in anticipation of the weather today. So I have nothing I need to get done today. In fact I have a dinner I have planned today. I found a recipe on Pinterest "no peak beef tips"...I can never make it during the week because it takes 3 hours...here's the recipe- http://www.mommyskitchen.net/2008/08/no-peek-beef-tips.html.
So other than my planned meal. I will workout and I think I will give myself a pedicure. What a lazy day I have planned....ahhhh.
Oh I finally bought a heater yesterday. What a difference it makes. I am so cozy now!!! No more coldness. I just needed a little extra warmth. I am still wearing my under armour top and bottom, fleece pants and sweatshirt....the heater is the extra boost I needed. It was only $30...and well worth it.
I think I will look on my pay per-view for a movie to watch. Hope you guys have a cozy Sunday. See ya later...bye
Good Morning,
We had a good time last night at my sisters 40th. I was able to interact with my 4 great nieces,as well as my niece and nephew.
It looks like the weather is going to rear its ugly head today. I don't know what you are doing, but please stay in.
My plan for today is to veg.I am going to throw a round steak in the electric skillet, and smell it until we eat.
I hope Dawn is feeling better today.
Hugs,
LISA
Grathell just salted the walk....there is a nasty ice rain coming down right now. We made it home just as it began. Yes!
Awesome church today (as usual). Love , love love our church. We go to the Vineyard Church of Joliet. It is the homiest, welcomingist, most awesomest church in the whole world. It is a non-denominational evangelical christian church....boy that's a mouthful...Anyway the worship was delicious. There isn't another place I would want to be on a Sunday morning.
We decided to go to Oak Brook to the Blueberry Hill for breakfast after church. It was very good. There is a Pendleton Store in the same mall so I dropped in there. I am looking for a thin, 100% soft wool washable blanket. I cannot get warm at night and I think a wool blanket may be the answer. But boy are they expensive. I am going to start looking at 2nd hand stores. By the time I find one, it will be July. HAHAHAHAHAHHAHA
We are grilling burgers on the stove-top for dinner and I am going to make a green salad. I am feening for some of the grass-fed beef we get at the jewel. it is so good.
I have my robe on and it's only 5p, so i doubt it will be a very late night (rarely is)
Dawn, feel better. Everyone else stay warm. Is Connie on her cruise?? Lucky gal!
Hugs,
Sharon
