OMG 51 degrees.

Running around Fulton Market last night with a bunch of Python folks was a ton of fun.

I was a nerd before being a nerd was cool.

What is the rest of the wet Illini doing?

Hello everyone

I will mention the weather again because it is exciting to me. 60 degrees!!! Oh I got up this morning and peaked my head outside and it's already wonderful outside. It makes me wi**** was April and not January...but I can hear my grandpa's voice saying "Crystal, don't wish your life away"...he would say that when I would wi**** was Friday.

Today I have a bunch of errands to run after work and what better day to run them. Yes I have to go to a few different stores and of course Chipotle and I have to workout.

Tomorrow I have Brenda and family coming over for dinner so I have that to get ready for that. I also have a package to send Amanda and Charles tomorrow. I am sending them all kinds of goodies. They will be soooo surprised. A mom remembers all of the things a daughter says she misses and would like. So except for the cheese I am sending everything she has ever mentioned she wanted. Hahaha!!!

So what are your plans today...anyone going to take advantage of this weather???

Well time to get ready for work...have a great day...bye

Last nite temps were around 40 here and a lot of rain while I went out with Chicago Python folks first for a talk at a company called The Nerdery and then to an 'establisment' aka a bar known as the Bottom Lounge.

Happy Friday,

It is 54 here, with light fog and mist. Some time will be outside to enjoy it.

No big plans for today, other then clean house and go do some errands. I also want to go to Wally World and get a few things. Sometimes today, I need to get to the basement and find some pottery I want to display.

Otherwise, a quiet weekend for the Tuckers. I may start on another rug.

Connie, where are you and Kay cruising to now?

Huggles.

Yippy..........warm and Friday. Does it get any better?

We were at the car dealers all night last night. My husband had an 8 cylinder/turbo and now that he has the long drive into the city everyday for work, he wanted something better on gas so we were at Toyota in Joliet. It was pretty painless and we were home by 9:30p  which is amazing since we did not get there until almost 6:30p. New cars are so fun. On the other hand, my car is 10 years old, no payments and i hope it lasts me another 10 at least.

Today I am starting my new part-time job. I got a job working for a mortgage inspector. Apparently there are 4000 people in Will County who are in foreclosure and my job is to go to their house and see if the property is still inhabited for insurance reasons. I just have to put a note in their mail box asking them to communicate with their lender and take a picture of cars in the driveway. My husband thinks I am nuts to be doing this, but I am going to try it out and see.

I'm going to the gym early today and then to work. I LOVE the way that sounds.

Have a great day everybody!

Sharon

Sharon- congrats on the job!!!  I had a friend that did something similar.  Do you get paid per house that you do?  That's how she got paid and she did well for a part time job.  She said she even would peak in the windows.  Then she downloaded all of the info to the bank...she worked for a bank.

Yep, I get paid per house. I am glad to hear a woman has done this. The guy I am working for only has dudes now.

I think there may be a problem here as well since that mailbox used to be considered federal property and you were violating federal law if you put anything in it.

Yep, you are correct. I am not to touch the mailbox...just put a hanging message on their doorknob and take photos of their homes Today was my first day it was so wonderful to be working again. Yay!!!!!!!

Good Morning Everyone!  It is Friday!  As I left for work, I was greeted by Oreo who was out and about early today enjoying the weather and looking for breakfast.  She usually waits for Rick to feed her moist food but not today.  It is nice outside.  Too bad we have to stay inside.

I am so happy it is Friday!    By about 2 pm yesterday my brain was mush.  I am working on a sign for my cubicle wall stating that "You can't fix stupid"  I had quite a few of those yesterday and was biting my tongue before the day was over.  How these people survive in a business world I will never know.  Come on, you cant find the model number on the front of your printer or the item number off a box of envelopes?     Does someone hold their hand all day?  And the business that do not keep receipts drive me insane!  They want us to tell them how much they owe.  Dont they keep track of their bills?

Sharon, your job sound very fascinating.  Congratulations!

Randy, being a nerd is a good thing.  People just did not realize it for a long time.

Crystal, enjoy your day.  Add some hugs to Amanda's package.  Also, I would think you could smuggle in some hard cheese that has its casing in the package as it does not need refrigeration.

Lisa, don't work too hard today.

Everyone have a great day!
