Thursday Roll Call
Hello everyone
Well how is everyone doing on this Friday Eve...we are about to have some wonderful weather too. I am going to figure out some outside activities. That's not always easy when you live in an apartment with no patio. Maybe I will wash my car (by hand)...I know it will rain later..but who cares...I will enjoy the weather and burn some calories. I can go for a walk too. It's a shame I will miss the weather tomorrow.
Today will be a rainy day...Today looks a lot like tomorrow except no groceries...work, workout, dinner, relax, nite-nite...How does your day look.
Dawn- I hope you are feeling better. It does take a few days to feel better from strep.

I don’t ever recall turning off my heat for a day in January and opening the windows to let the fresh air in, but I did yesterday.
It’s hard to believe the weather is so mild. I went out and finished taking down the few Christmas decorations that were still up. I got quite a bit done. Yesterday there was definitely a spring in my step. Then the gym was empty. I guess everyone took it outdoors.
Does anyone know how much money you can make working while collecting unemployment? Someone told me about a very limited part-time job and I am thinking of at least working part-time. I never considered part-time, but if I can get it I would like to do it. My husband is afraid they will stop my unemployment. I’d rather work than collect unemployment. But if I make a lot less working part-time it may not be a good idea financially for us.
I have upped my workouts to 2 hrs everyday and it is kicking my butt. By 7p, I am pretty beat. I am also spring cleaning early in case I get a job and won’t be available to do it the way I like. I enjoy a super clean house and with 3 cats and a dog, it is a constant job.

Sharon- my experience is as the weather warms up the gym empties. Also the gym is a ghost town on Friday nights and nights before holidays. Of course I don't have that problem anymore because either I live in a complex of people that would rather pay for a gym membership (our gym is pretty small) or they are the laziest bunch of losers ever...because I am almost always by myself. Still even now. Which is good...I like it by myself. There is this cute kid that comes in with his mom. He must be 10 and he runs on the treadmill. He's totally serious too...not joking around at all. I like him. He's not overweight, he looks like he's a jock in the making...hahaha!!! The mom just sits in the corner and watches. I'll take him over the weird creepers.

It is definitely a warmer time out there. I heard on the radio on the way to work that we are to hit 60 tomorrow. Yeah!
Today it is another deluge of phone calls. Yesterday was a mad house and in the middle of the day our computer system went down for 45 minutes. We still received phone calls but had to do orders by hand. What fun!
Today after work I get my hair cut. Nothing else on my agenda for this evening. Once again I am looking forward to a quiet weekend of doing nothing. After the hectic week, I cant even begin to think about doing anything. My brain is mush by the end of the day.
Sharon, I dont remember the exact rules of unemployment. You can find the info on the State of Illinois Website. However, I taught one class a month and they deducted that class from my benefits. Ugh! Cant win. Unemployment did not pay the bills but if you earned money it was deducted from your benefits. I think the only way you win is if you get unreported work.

Good morning!
Kay and I are going to the Fold in Marengo this morning to get some knitting needles that only they carry. I know it's supposed to rain but the sun is out here. Hopefully the morning will stay dry, but all in all it doesn't really matter.
No other plans today but it would be smart to work on the basement again. Maybe tomorrow would be better. If i don't do it first thing it doesn't get done! Later I just want to knit or read and can't psych myself to clean out basements! LOL
No plans for the weekend but something will turn up. It always does. Thinking about our cruise at the end of Januray and getting ready in our minds for that. Could do some pre-packing/ironing so that we're not rushed. We have two days in Ft. Lauderdale so I've been looking up yarn stores to hang out. We've been there enough that exploring isn't too interesting.

I guess if I had to work today, it was good. I was busy all day. Came home and haven't even got to the kitchen yet.

Last night I found a mock twin top, with red sparkles on the top part and long sleeves on the solid "jacket". I bought it to go to my sisters 40th anniversary party at the end of the month. And, of course it was on sale. $19.99. Then bought new "jewels" to go with it. I am not buying to much this year, hoping I can get my revision done in the late spring.(That is next weeks project",
