Monday Roll Call

Hello everyone

I am sitting here relaxing before my hectic Monday, but they always go by fast.  I am so looking forward to the short little warm up we are going to have this week.  I'm like a starving person and any little crumb mother nature is willing to throw me, I will take.

Yesterday I went to my thrift store and bought 3 DVDs.  The original Psycho (still in new packaging!!!), Silence of the Lambs and Oceans 11....3 great movies.  I'm on the hunt for the Godfather.  I can never find a cheap one...it's always a remastered bonus $30 deal.  I don't pay that much for DVDs.  I want one for cheap, cheap, cheap (less than $10).

Today I have work and no workout (today is my rest day).  I have to go to Walgreens again to pick up one of my migraine meds.  and that's it for me.

So what's going on with you guys today?

Have a good day all...see ya later...bye

Cheryl had the window open last night and I woke up with a headache.

Usually that would be sinus but this time it is a mild brain freeze.

Back to the regular schedule at the pantry except this month and maybe this year I will go on the 2nd and 4th Wednesdays and almost every Monday.

Randy

So you have been forgiven?

Good Morning Everyone!

Baby it's cold outside!  Brrr.  It wakes you up when you go outside.  It took two cycles to get my windshield defrosted today.  Tomorrow I have an appointment for my car to get the tire warning light removed and to get my remote starter time lengthened.  5 minutes just does not cut it in the winter.

Yesterday was a laid back day.  The cats got high on catnip.  They were so funny.  Smokey declared all the catnip as his and was fighting off anyone who came near.  He is a riot.  Just like a toddler, he will not share.  That is not in his vocabulary.  I took two naps yesterday to make up for the lack of sleep the night before.

Today is work.  We are in our busy season so the days will go fast.  No time  to think or to relax.

Everyone have a great day!

Good Morning!

We had another quiet day yesterday just enjoying the weekend. After church we went to lunch and then just came home to light chores. I was so full from lunch that I could not eat anything else all day, so I skipped making dinner. G made himself a bacon and egg sandwich for dinner and we went to bed early.

Today is a regular old Monday. I have cleaning and I have some errands. I try to stay away from the grocerystores  on the weekends. I have to hit Costco and Trader Joes this afternoon. Both are within a few blocks of each other and on the way home from my gym.

Saturday, I was at the Landsend outlet in Lombard and found bathing suits marked down 90% for $15.00. I was so excited. I bought a few in different sizes to wear as I lose more. I learned that trick from Crystal. I love I-355. I can get anywhere now quickly. Since Lombard is right off 355, and i live right off 355. It's so easy to shop there and get home quickly.

I also found cheap shapewear at Target made by Spanx called Assets by Sara Blakely. It is fabulous. That was my other $15 deal.

Crystal, have you thought about freecycle for your dvds? You might want to try it. People are always making requests and getting stuff free.

Well, I have to go. I have put myself on a new schedule. I hate housework so I have to play games with myself to do it. My new game is seeing how much I can accomplish from 7a to 10a. I know it sounds silly, but it keeps me motivated. HA!

Randy, feel better. I hope you have defrosted by now.

Nancy, Putting the catnip out and watching the 3 big boys roll around, is like watching a cartoon. The vet mentioned using it regularly. I grow it in my yard in the summer and dry it out and store it in sealed containers.

Have a great day.

Sharon

Good Morning,

I think my scrips are finally ordered. At least they are showing up on the ordered board.

The back bedroom is finished, all I have to do is vac.

And in an hour, I will head for the hospital for a doppler of my legs. I think today will be a good one.

No other plans for today. Leftovers for dinner tonight.

Have a great sunny day.

Hugs,

LISA

I am hoping your swelling has gone down in legs and you are feeling better.

Hello!

I finished a shawl yesterday. I'll put up a picture later. It's really cool. We watched Downton Abbey last night. It's not really my thing but I was being cooperative. Today there's a knitting group at ten. I was the only one there in most of December so I'll give the others a chance to return, but if they don't I'll go knit at the Bookworm. I'd rather be there.

Have a good day and stay warm!

Connie
