Sunday Roll Call

It is 6 am and I have been up for at least an hour.  For some reason I cannot sleep so I finally gave up and got up. I missed yesterday's roll call so I thought I would start today's.  

It was a quiet day yesterday.  We did go get groceries.  The time still flew buy.  We got snow in the early afternoon but it melted by late afternoon.  

Sharon, I hope your cats are catching the zen.  Mine lover their water fountain bowl.  They each drink from it differently.  It is funny to watch them drink.  I am glad you enjoyed your evening at the VFW  I used to live in a small town and it was the American Legion that had the good catfish and friends.  . 

Connie, I hope you had a good time at your party last night.  

Lisa, it sounds like you had a fairly quiet day planned.  Of course, I am sure you found lots to do.  

Crystal, I am so happy that you like your frozen concoction.  It is always great to figure out ways to eat more healthfully.  I saw on facebook that you managed to get out of a traffic ticket.  That is a plus of being hot looking!

Karen, it can be the pits living so far from things like gyms.  I used to be that way in my previous town.  It is such a drawback but I loved my town.  

Dawn, it sounds like your hubby got the message and decided to get out of the dog house by taking down the tree.  There is hope for Todd yet!  

Randy, I am sure you will find a game or two to watch today.

Chris, I hope your voice has returned.

Good Morning Everybody, Well I was up earliey did laundry and also already  went to Jewel, Then I am off to Whole Foods,

Either  today or tomorrow  I may go to Costco Wholesale. Need to get some items there. Also I decided to start do the seminars at the  Kane Center I really enjoy helping other people.

I have a few things todo today, then a quiet afternoon. Tomorrow i am going for a doppler on my legs. Hopefully we will find out what is causing the swelling.I will also be calling my prescription service, to see where  my scripts are.

Lisa-  My daughter always tells me I should write a book and call it...Life According to Crystal...because she said my ideas and the weird stuff that comes out of my mouth should be written down some where...hahaha!!!  She cracks me up.

Good Morning Nancy and IL Gang,

Nancy I am sorry you couldn't sleep in. I cannot seem to ever do that. I am an early bird, but lately I have been a chicken, getting up before dawn even thinks of peaking out.

We had a lovely laid back day yesterday having a late lunch and then going to see the movie "Life of Pi". I enjoyed it, but my husband slept thru the entire movie. Whenever the actors have heavy accents or look remotely foreign my husband is not interested and just naps. We went to the movie in Yorktown and it cost $21.00 to get in for 2 adults. I was a little shell-shocked. In New Lenox I usually pay $14.00. I'm going to be 55 this month and am looking forward to the senior specials that will be coming my way

Right now church is the only thing on our radar.

Sharon-  when I was out of work for a long period of time (not this last time but back in 2002) I was just the opposite.  I started going to bed at 2-3am and waking up at 9-10am.  My sleeping habits were getting really bad!!!  When I finally got back to work it was like torture waking up at 5am!!! 

Hey Crystal,

I think the surgery and the healthier lifestyle are a part of what is keeping me on track with my sleeping. I sleep so good now that I work out. I used to wake up every night a few times, now I never wake up, and if I do it's because it's dawn and the day is ready for me to jump into it.

I agree with Lisa, I enjoy your posts FB. You always make me at least smile and usually laugh out loud.

I totally goofed off yesterday and am hoping to do the same today.  Will likely go help unload the truck in the morning and get back to Pong in the afternoon.

Hello everyone

I had a busy day yesterday.  I was in and out all day.  I went to Kohls and bought a pair of those Cudle Duds (it's like Under Armour) I bought the bottoms and the top.  My old top is big and someone told me if there's gaps it won't work.  It has to be tight fitting.  I am wearing a medium now...can you believe it!!!  They are so nice and soft...I wore them to bed last night.  I think I am in love!!!  I will buy more for sure...you should try them.  They have all different kinds, I bought the active ones.  They are on sale right now.  I also went to Walmart, Jewel, got my hair cut, went to the auto parts store...so on. 

I also talked to Amanda.  At least this time she didn't tell me anything scary.  I did get some requests for their package.  Charles asked for sour candy (chewy and hard) and Amanda asked for Reeses candy bars and Jimmy John's cookies!!!  Hahaha...they are missing some particular American cuisine.  Here's a weird one...Amanda is really missing yellow cheese.  She said they don't have cheddar, american, colby....they don't have anything like that there, only white cheese.  What a weird thing to miss...hahaha!!!!  She also says their pizza really sucks.  I told her to make her own pizza.  The host family they live with has a son about the same age as them (their host brother) and they invited him to visit us in America when they come back.  I think that would be great.  It's always nice to talk to Amanda.  One more exciting thing...they found an internet cafe that has webcams!!!!  Do you know what that means!!!! I can Skype her and actually SEE her!!! Right now I can't see her...because I am calling her cell phone.  But to actually see her...yeah!!!  Oh and she saw my new picture on Facebook and she couldn't believe how much weight I lost since she left.  And she labeled my picture of Peru I put up.  I put "somewhere in Peru" and she actually put down where it was...yeah!!! 

Today I going to go workout.  I have to go to Walgreens.  Then I want to go to a thrift store called New uses...I love that store...great selection of DVDs.  I also want to take the cabin filter I bought yesterday and install it.  Jiffy Lube wanted to charge me $40!!!!  But I bought the filter for $13.99 and I looked up how to do it and it's easy.  So I am going to do it myself and save some money.  I also have laundry to do...it's laundry day.  So that's my day in a nutshell.

Well time to get my day started and stop being so lazy...have a good day...bye

Nancy- I really think he let me off because I seemed confused and dimwitted (or at least acted that way).  I was only kidding about the flirting...I really don't know how to flirt.  I think of the episode of Three's Company when Jack and Janet were trying to teach Chrissy how to flirt and she ended up looking funny not sexy...yep that's me when I try to flirt.
