Thursday Roll Call

Sort of the second day of the week but it is Thursday.

Did well on pong up through having the ball move around bouncing off walls and spawning from the middle line when it goes in a gutter and drawing the paddles.

Now I have to move the ball and paddles at changing speeds and determine when the ball hits a paddle and not the gutter.

Cheryl has a bad cold so we went to bed at 8 pm.  If she stays home today Pong may wait until Friday or Saturday.  I have a meeting at 4 today and another at seven.  Both are near but too far to walk comfortably in the cold.

Gonna get a little more sleep yesthen some light time and maybe move the paddles before lunch and the first meeting.

What will the rest of Illinois be up to today?

Hello everyone

There's always so much I want to say about work but I learned my lesson (remember my last job, and their "big brother" attitude).  I never know who might be lurking and reading this.  Nothing really bad...I am happy there.  So I don't say much.  But I do have to leave a bit early I have a doctor appointment but only 30 minutes early.  I always make my appointments as late as possible.

Nothing going on with me for the rest of the day.  Just work, appointment, working out....which by the way was just me again.  No New Years resolution people.  Maybe apartment complex gyms don't get the rush of people.  That would be nice.  Because I like having the gym to myself.

I am looking forward to the slight warm up.  Who would think I would forward to mid to upper 30's but I am.  That's better than lower 20's and maybe I won't be so cold.  The only time I'm not cold, is in bed.  I am so cuddly warm in bed...I don't want to get up in the morning!!!yes

Sharon- I agree we haven't had a get together in a very long time.

Well I better get going I have to finish getting ready.  Have a good day and stay warm...see ya later...bye

I think the cold makes all of us want to pull the covers up and cocoon or hibernate.  I notice about four of our regulars have not posted yet so maybe they have they day off and will chime in later.

After being up from 2a to 3a I slept until almost 7a.

I need to look at getting a dawn simulation alarm clock.  I worked too hard getting my sleep hours close to normal to let my sleep times slide back up into their own cycle.

Morning Everybody,

Randy, your brain must be laser sharp with all the new things you are always challenging yourself with. I am thinking of taking a class. I stress " thinking". If I do, it wont be until summer. I hope Cheryl feels better.

Crystal, I am always cold as well. I used to sweat all the time and be in what I thought was hot-flash mode. Now, I sometimes take a hot bath or shower just to warm up these days.

The vet told me to buy a calming water fountain for my cat who needs to be more zen .I'm going to run out and get one today. I also gave him an extra shot of cat nip yesterday and he seemed pretty calm to me. He was laying upside down for about an hour with his legs spread out and his eyes half closed. He also kept me up from 2-3a again, chasing my feet under the covers. He doesnt seem stressed to me?!?

So far my gym also has not had any newbies that I have noticed. Maybe it's just those big bright box gyms who see that kind of new traffic at the new year.

Today is clean my house day.

Have a great day everyone. I heard it could be 50 degrees by Wednesday......is that even possible?

Kitties can certainly get some strange behaviors going.  3 am chase the toes may actually be something about you though.  Animals are sensitive that way.

Later in the day I may roflmbo at your sharp mind comment my mind is very much like myopic, one track but off the rails and going down a rabbit trail type of mind thinking though that even in this sentence the second mind or this one should not be needed but yet when I right the way my mind actually works I am considered obtuse and evasive.

That is just me and I love interfacing with Aspurger's and others whose minds run on different rails all of the time.  Occasionally I wonder if I am not really in a bed somewhere being kept sedated and the world I see is just in my mind.  Most of the time though I just go ahead with the flow.

Back to the kitty while actually being back to me and even to the homeless.  The world needs more people who would serve the ill physically or mentally ill as your sweet kitty is being treated.  I would love to have someone go out and buy me a calming fountain when they noticed I was freaking out inside myself.

Good Morning Everyone!

It is Friday Eve!  I was glad to see that it had also warmed up overnight.  I had washed my car yesterday and was hoping that I would not have an ice cube this morning!

No special plans for today.  Just work and kicking back when I get home.  I ran errands after work yesterday and made several phone calls.  One to cancel my Sirius radio which I renewed last month only to find out they never activated my signal.  blush They are a horrible company to work with.  I am still trying to reach a resolution with my mortgage company.  The person I needed to talk to was not there yesterday.  And I made a car appointment.  My tire pressure light came on and now it will not go out even after checking and adding air to the tires.  Sigh.

Randy, I haven't explored your games yet.  I cant wait to do so.

Crystal, I hope you are in a much better situation than you were before without too many issues.  But employers all have their quirks.

Sharon, have you ever tried felinaway?  It is purchased at Pet Smart or Amazon.  It looks like a plug in dispenser and it has natural pheromes that calm a cat.  I use it continuously.  It relaxes my cats.  I have one cat that was born to a feral mother and Fluffer can be skittish at times.  HE was doing so lately and I realized that my bottle was empty.  It really makes a difference.  It is expensive but I tend to buy it in bulk at Amazon and get much better pricing.  But you might want to pick up a starter kit at Pet Smart.  I will always use it.  It works well.

Everyone have a great day!

I have to wonder if the phermones might calm humans as well.

These are cat pheromes.  I guess if you are part cat they may work for you    From what I understand these are the same natural scents that cats emit when they rub you with their heads or cheeks.  It is self calming to them.  I think that there are human ones as well.

Good morning!

I have committed to begin cleaning the basement today. Ugh! I'm going to start in the room we call the box room which has Christmas decorations so that we can easily put away the decorations. I'm only committing to one room today, though because I don't like to spend all day in the dark basement. I'm hoping I can do this in less than an hour. We'll see!

Otherwise, not much going on here. Same old, same old, but it's a calm life  and I love it.

A get-together would be fun. We had some great times a few years ago.
