Sunday roll call

Hello!

I don't know why I am up at the crack of dawn, but I am. I updated my profile, checked a few other boards I follow and had a half cup of coffee. It's still almost dark but this day has more daylight than yesterday and from here on the days get longer. I have a song about the solstice which refers to the 21st of December as "the LAST darkest day of the year". I always think about that at this time of year when winter gets to me. However, we haven't had much winter this year so I'm not complaining.

I'm ready for Christmas and finished all my committed knitting. It's all wrapped and ready to go, so bring on the Day!

I plan to settle in with Christmas carols and sugar free hot chocolate today while I knit or read.

Hello everyone

Yesterday was a good day...I got in a good workout and avoided the stalker...in fact there was a very nice older man reading on the treadmill that was polite...a nice change.  I think I might change my time.  I got my cleaning done.  I am happy to say I did re-evaluate what it is I wanted to wear for Christmas.  I took my time and actually looked at the clothes and I found something at JC Penneys.  I got a pair of black cords and a cute pink/dark gray cowl neck sweater...I even found a silver necklace too.  And all three with my $10 gift certificate cost me $38!!! So I got the heck out of there...I tell you that place was a madhouse.  I also started the first step in my baking...I got some of the dough done.  The pound cake is done.  I did the laundry.  I also went into work and did a couple of hours of overtime.  After that I ran to Walmart because stupid me under estimated how many eggs I needed and I was already running out of eggs and even at 10pm at night Walmart was pretty packed.

Today...is baking day.  I am planning to bake and bake and bake some more.  I will get in a workout before the festivities begin.  I am pretty much in for the day....it sounds like a pajama day!!!  I think might run out for something to eat for dinner...maybe Boston Market???  The only thing is it gets so hot in here with the oven on.  I have to open the window to get some air.  It's like an inferno!!! 

I want to do all of this today so I can sit on my lazy bootie tomorrow and do nothing all day and watch TV (I think I will watch movies...ya movies)...of course I will probably come up with something to do...but nothing I HAVE to do.  I will go workout...but that doesn't count.

Well I will get going and start my busy baking day...I'm not looking forward to this...I hate baking...I would rather go to work!!!!  I only do this because everyone asks me to make my cookies and cakes.  Have a good day (I won't...bah hum bug!!!)  see ya later...bye!!!

All I have to do today is redust the house, and finish the food. I am going to run out to walmart this morning, and get a shrimp tray. I should be home and done within a couple of hours. Then, Christmas movies all day.

So far it sounds like everyone has Christmas under control. Amen!

We went to a party yesterday and had an awesome time. It was my sister-in-laws family who I haven't seen since pre-surgery. They all did not recognize me and asked where my older sister was???? I do not have an older sister LOL. I guess that is an unexpected NSV. I also tried on some old clothes that I have been saving for when I lose weight. They are all loose. Another happy moment.

Today it is church in the am and a candle light Christmas vigil at 7p. Since my husband and I are giving communion this month we will be at both services. I am really looking forward to hearing the kids choir tonight. In between, it will be a laid back day.

Good Morning Everyone!

I missed yesterday.  I started the day out with a melt down.  I went to the bathroom and the new toilet is still leaking an they have not come back to fix it  and I went to take a shower and had absolute NO water pressure so that was out thanks to a broken water softener.  I have had both companies out at least 3 times on the respective issues and they cant seem to fix them.  They fiddle around and say it is fixed and it is NOT.  I keep getting billed for services that are not complete.  I am done paying for service calls.  IT is on them now. 

Then we went out to dinner and shopping later in the afternoon.  Went to Olive Garden and was stuffed on salad.  My dinner is waiting for me in the refrigerator.  Went to Pet Smart to get things for Gage's cat stocking.  Then on to Walmart.  Got some gifts for a stocking for Gage.  On the grocery side they were out of a lot -- lettuce, green onions, tomatoes, green pepper, etc.  They were also out of several other foods that we buy.  Geesh, I know it is Christmas but dont you think they would have ordered extra? 

TodayI am planning on lazing around and playing with the kitties.  I have to wrap one last package.  All the stockings are done and ready to go.  Smokey was a brat and stole one of his gifts last night.  I kept putting it up on my desk and he kept stealing it.  I guess he decided Christmas was NOW!

Plumbing probs rate high up there on most annoying. I hope you can get this fixed soon. Maybe geting both companies to come out at the same time is the answer. Enjoy the puddies. Hugs, Sharon
