Wednesday Roll Call
Well, I would still like to be doing what the little smiley is doing . . .
As I mentioned yesterday I am fighting a small cold. Fortunately it is not too busy at work and I am just doing catch up from last week. So I can veg out at times. I recently started walking again at lunch time to up my exercise/calorie burning for the day. Even during the winter I can walk outside because the village clears the concrete sidewalks through the nature center or I can walk through the center to the neighborhood close by and walk down the street for a short while.
What is happening in your corner of IL?

Good morning!
Up early to meet my friends for breakfast. we've been doing this for twenty some years. Wish the fourth person would retire so we could meet later but she's got several more years to work. Then we have knitting from 10-2.
Last night went to the Zoning board because someone wants to put a bed and breakfast in our residential historic district. This would add significant traffic on our street which already has too much traffic for a residential neighborhood. Never have been to a zoning meeting before--interesting!
Looks like we'll get snow tomorrow. Learned yesterday that a blizzard isn't about the amount of snow, it's about winds over 35mph so even a couple of inches of snow can be a blizzard if the winds are high. That is what is forecast here for Thursday. Glad I have plenty of yarn and can stay home!
Have a warm day!

Hello everyone
My dinner with friends went well. I had a good time and we didn't stay out too late. I was home before midnight. It's always nice to see old friends.
Today is work and working out....and groceries.
I am not looking forward to the yucky weather heading our way. I am going to head out today to do some groceries before the weather gets too bad. That way I don't have too much to do later on. But I will stlll have some to do later...there are some things I can't bring into the house till the last minute because I will be too tempted to eat it...like the rolos, oreos and the chocloate chips. It will start off as just "one" and before you know it there all gone!!! So nope some things stay at the store till I need them!!!
Oh here's something weird...I guess not too weird considering I work for a construction company and employs mostly men. But Thursday the company is having a BBQ!!! I guess it's a tradition. Rain or shine, no matter what the weather...they fire up the grill one last time and have a cook out!!! I think that's hilarious. Of course it's any excuse for my company to feed us more food!!! So it's brats, burgers and hot dogs tomorrow with all the trimmings...my god...I'm thinking forget about losing weight...I'm going for MAINTAINING at this point!!!!
Well time to get ready for work...have wonderful day...see ya later...bye
Regarding the weird guy at the gym - I suggest that you switch up some of your time that you go to throw him off. Maybe he will get the hint that you do not want to see him. Do you have a Walkman or other device that you can listen to music or something else. He will get the hint if you cannot hear him. Keep taking it off if he talks and say sorry, I was really listening close to what is on my device . . .
Regarding the food in the house to make recipes. Keep it out in the garage in a secure container so it stays fresh or in the trunk of your car until you need it. This of course if for non perisable foods. We keep foods out in the garage or in the 3 season room and it makes it harder to get to. Especially for us as we do not have a service door from the house to the garage. We physically have to open the garage door and go out the side door to go out there.

Good Mornnnninggggggggg
Crystal, our company holiday luncheon is today. But it is in Rock falls, and it last 1 hour. So, drive 2 hours to Rock Falls, spend an hour, maybe one and a half, then drive home? They pay us for the time off, but then don't pay us milageto get there? Noone from LaSalle County is going. I wonder why?
Nothing happening here either, just waiting to see where the snow is going to be. I will be in town tomorrow, so whatever happens will be ok.
Hugs,
lisa
Needing Stamina today.
Mon and yesterday did a morning of work at the Pantry and today is Christmas food and toy distribution.
Cheryl went to new pcp yesterday same as mine so he has a list of things to test old folks far and it really scares Cheryl even to think about them.
I am going to see the UIC surgeon today after the food pantry.

Prayers for you and Cheryl to be able to make the correct decisions for both of your health care. Lord knows I needed them to get through this past year with my quack doc and then finding someone I could trust. I know you two will be informed patients for yourselves. Take care.
