Monday, Monday, Monday.

Will go and help unload the truck at the food pantry then I do not know maybe some figuring out of the rest of the game I am writing with Python.

Ambulance came to get someone next door this morning.  Bad way for me to start the week being woken by the siren.  Worse for them.

What is the rest of Illinois doing?

HI Randy,

Hope your neighbor is ok.

I have to go get an Angel Tree gift today and hunt down the child's caregiver to deliver it. I have swim this morning.

I will finish my tree trimming (the longest tree trimming in history) and clean up a bit.

I cant believe 2013 is almost here. The time is flying and that means I'm getting older faster. LOL

Have a beautiful Monday, everybody.

Hugs,

Sharon

Hello everyone

I had a good day yesterday.  I cleaned out 1/2 of my old "fat" clothes yesterday (I can't do all of them yet...Maybe later) and took them to Goodwill.  I also went to JC Penney for more buttons...I won another $10..I'm on a roll.  If I wasn't winning consistently I wouldn't bother..every time I go to the mall I have a run in with a couple of rude people either driving or on foot.  I just don't know what happened to people's manners.  I always try to be considerate of others and I get annoyed when others are so inconsiderate.  The stalker guy was at the gym yesterday.  I think he knows my weekend schedule he will be there now all of the time.  So I either have to put up with him or change up my times...but I hate that.  I am a scheduled person...I like to do things at the same time all of the time.  Like my Sunday laundry.

I talked to Amanda yesterday.  I told her to look out for her package.  She is excited....she is funny.  I told her about the books but she doesn't know I stuck a bunch of candy in her package!!!  She will be surprised!!!  She is sending me a Peruvian gift!!!  I can't wait!!!  It will be something little because they get very little in the way of wages...they get paid the same as the locals.  I don't care..I never got anything Peruvian.  She was telling me more about the wild, stray dogs down there.  They sound like a serious menace.  Something I didn't know...they are such a problem that the Peace Corp actually immunizes them against rabies already!!!  because there is a good chance she will end up getting bit!!!  Poor Amanda...I worry about her.  On Christmas I am taking my laptop and webcam to Brenda's house and I am buying a bunch of time and the whole family is going to talk to Amanda...she is very excited about that too.  I was going to keep as a surprise but I decided to to tell her so she keeps a block of her time free.

Well time to get ready...see ya later...bye.

Wish I lived in Joliet.  He and I would have what some people used to call a prayer meeting with him.  When any one gave our company a problem I would go and pray that I did not kill them.

Randy....that made me laugh.

After the first creepy guy I started to bring mace with me to the gym and I know how to defend myself.  But this guy is pretty out of shape I don't think it would be too hard to get away if he tried anything.  I think he's harmless, more annoying than anything but, I am one to always be on the paranoid side when it come to stuff like this.....I always think of a quote from my grandpa

my grandpa who was in the army....he would worry about me being around so many dirt bags at my mom and dad's house and I lived in a bad neighborhood.  So he taught me to "take care of myself" at a young age...and he always said these words..."always vigilant...always ready...always alert".  I loved my grandpa and our little defense classes...

Good morning!

I am up early for me because I couldn't sleep but I'll be tired in an hour. Oh well. I did a long post last night about the Christmas concert we attended yesterday so I won't repeat it, but it's on yesterday's entry. Awesome.

I'm going to head out to the new bakery, Backstube, to get some bread this morning, and then go knitting. I have all my Christmas shopping and wrapping done except one thing which should arrive today. It's for a friend of ours so Kay will wrap it anyway. She makes lovely packages. Mine look like an explosion. I'm going to enjoy this week at an easy pace and keep a daily sense of the season. When my kids were little we always had everything done by Dec 21 and then spent the days before Christmas enjoying the music, the kids and just having fun without pressure. It was a wonderful way to focus on the meaning of Christmas, not the craziness.

Have a lovely day and take a breath and be grateful,

Connie

Good Morning,

This morning I will be cooking the meat for my Italian beef for Christmas Eve. I like to cook it long and slow, Then get it cold and slice it. Then stick it in the freezer until next weekend to fini****

Both Monica and Morgan, and Annette and Rick stopped by yesterday. Neither one stayed long, but it was nice.

Other then cooking the meat, I have no big plans for today. we have leftovers for today, so no major cooking. I hope everyone has a productive day.

Hugs.

LISA

I have to say I like the idea of home cooked Italian Beef.  I want a food mall on Irving Park in all of the empty store fronts there.

Good Morning Everyone!

Randy, according to the Mamas and the Papas it was Monday, Monday.  wink

I missed the weekend.  I am so upset over the Newtown shootings. I just cannot get them out of my head.  It is inconceivable.  My heart goes out to all of those parents and families.  I think we as a society have to do something to stop all of this violence.  IT cannot go on.  We are seeing too much of it and it is senseless.  I feel there is no place safe left for people, not church, not school, not shopping or the movies.  I am not paranoid about going out but it is so sad that routine ventures can now be filled with violence.

Over the weekend I had my check class on Saturday and did the shopping in the afternoon.  Sunday I was really tired and again I slept until 1:30!  I know I still dont feel well but it amazes me when I go to bed and sleep so long.

This week looks like a normal week.  I got my packages sent off last week.  So I am good there.  Still have not done my Christmas letter, but will work on that.

It sounds like everyone had a busy weekend.  I hope you all have a beautiful week.

I too was physically ill from the emotional impact of the shootings.  It does not help that two of the three other atrocities I posted on FB and Vitnam were part of my own non-head shrinked parts of my life.

Oh and I thought it was the Beatles, can't trust that day.
