Thursday Roll Call

The bursitis in my right hip was kicking up a fuss so I got up. Cannot get comfortable laying down.

I went to my primary yesterday afternoon and she is pleased with the end results of the surgery and my weight. She took me off of my evening BP med. I had to keep a log of the twice a day readings for the surgeon and I took them to her also. I have a fasting lab test coming up the Saturday after next. I am not looking forward to the fasting part as the test is not until 930 in the morning. I will be really cranky without my java.

Today is another PO appt with the surgeon at 11 and then after that we will come home and head down on the train to the market again and enjoy it as the season is just about over for it.

That is about it in a nut shell for me. What is happening with you

Good Morning,

This is my Friday, I hope. My co-worker is out with gall bladder, and she works on Friday.

I want to bake cookies this weekend. I need to get some molasses, not blackstrap. Whats the dif?

Off to work.

Hugs, LISA

Read this from Wikipedia as it explains how they arrive at blackstrap. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Molasses

Blackstrap comes from the third boiling of the syrup.

HI Lisa,

Regular ole molasses is the first or second boiling of cane sugar syrup while blackstrap is the third boiling of the syrup. Iron levels appear to increase 5% in the 3rd boiling.

Apparently there a ton of people that use blackstrap molasses for different home remedy solutions.

Good morning Lisa and the rest of Illinois!

I am working, then the airport, then the Boy Scouts then home.  Tomorrow, Riley is coming over and will help decorate the tree.  Todd actually helped me put the lights on last night and it turns out that he is very good at it!  Don't know WHY he never helped before.

It does not look like surgery will be happening for me any time soon.  I REALLY want the issue fixed but hate to spend the $$.  We will see.

I am having a terrible day emotionally.  Very overwhelmed, weepy and anxious.  This too shall pass.  I hope.  I think I need to work out more for the endorphins.

Wishing everyone a spectacular day.

Hey Dawn,

I am having the same kind of day, weepy and sad. I think it's the holidays.

Hang in there my dear one.

Hugs,

Sharon

Thank you Sharon!

Today is better.  Just one of those things, I guess.

Sorry about the surgery not happening this year. Sometimes it is better if you do not do some things when a doc is so busy as they are when people are trying to use their Flex Pay plans that has to be used up by the end of the year or they loose the $$ or unfortunately for you with deductible already met (me also). I had a situation like that once with a PS and that man was so over worked that he did not know what end was up. In retrospect I am glad I did not have anything done other than office visits during that time.

I would never let Dave touch my lights on my tree - I have a system . . .

Hi IL,

Christine I have heard bursitis is very painful. Feel better.

Yesterday was not very productive. After aerobics, I was exhausted and after 2 errands, i went home to take a nap. I went down at 2:30 p and never got back up! I slept until 5a this morning! I don't know what happened to me, but today I feel a bit better but not 100%. Still fatigued so I am going to skip my workout this morning and see how I feel later.

I really love this time of year, but this year I am a bit down.

I hope this beautiful sunny day is a delight for everyone.

Blessings and hugs,

Sharon

I am now questioning if the pain is bursitis (from a lot of research) or if I possibly have a joint replacement issue. From everything I have read the pain will intensify when a person sleeps on the same side as the pain - yes mine is that way BUT it is worse when I am on my opposite side or back when sleeping. I sometimes can hardly walk up stairs - it is less painful to go down stairs.
