Monday Roll Call
Good Morning Everyone!
I was MIA over the weekend. Did not go on the computer very much. Instead I played busy little elf. I wrapped pkgs. It was so funny yesterday when I was wrapping Rick's gifts. Smokey helped me for his. In fact he got really excited over one and really got into the wrapping of it so that one is from the cats. When I was wrapping gifts for other people he jus****ched. Somehow he knew which ones were important to him. It was so cute.
Well, Rick is going to try to get an appointment to put Beemer down tonight. We have tried everything but when it is time for a shot, Beemer goes and hides. I guess this is his choice. I am very sad about it but I cannot change it. I cant stop him from hiding and he hates the shots so I guess there is no choice.
It sounds like everyone had a very busy weekend! Sharon, enjoy your TV show today. That has to be fun! Crystal, enjoy your day. Crhis, naps are needed. When they happen, it was for a reason.
Everyone have a great day!
Cat Lady
That may be the option but there is a group of people that may have a member who would come and take Beemer to care for him. Before we moved here the Houston SPCA got a large monetary grant and a farm so I tell myself they did not euphanise Angel who would never have lived through the trip here with us but the group was all over me for not asking if one of them would take her.

Nancy,
What is it about rustling wrapping paper and ribbon that makes all the cats congregate right on top of the paper you just cut to wrap a gift? Right now Wolfie is chasing the words on the screen as I write. I am literally trying to look around his body to see the monitor to type this......a home is not a home w/o a meow for me......Good Luck with Beemer...........Hugs, Sharon
Good morning Chris and the rest of Illinois!
Saturday David and I hung our fresh evergreen roping & bows on the front porch while Todd and Liv cleaned up the driveway and yard in anticipation of snow. We got no snow but just north of us did. Saturday night was my company Christmas party and I wore a dress that Liv had worn years ago. It says it is size 4 but that can not be. It is a stretchy black velvet and fit, but there is NO WAY it is a 4.
Saturday night, Liv's car would not start and a friend brought her home and we had it towed. Yesterday, when we went to look at it, it started right up (6 times). She took it to work and it started so she could get home. After she got home, she turned it off, tried to start it again and......nothing. So, we have a puzzle.
Yesterday the rest of my family was lazy, watching the game and doing homework. I went out in the drizzle and found a fresh tree (which the nice young men cut down for me) and I got it home all by myself! It is now in the stand, drinking water waiting for lights and ornaments.
Tonight, I will be at the airport from 4-7. If you have any reason to fly where they have flights, it is well worth checking out the Rockford Airport. (www.flyrfd.com) FREE parking, wi-fi and ME! So far, most people have tried to tip me for helping them with their bags and wheelchairs, but I have refused. They are very surprised. I guess wheelchair pushing volunteers in other airports expect tips? That seems like opposite of the point of volunteer work.
Everyone have a splendid day!
Good Morning All,
I ended up working yesterday. Our cronic no-show, called me at 7, her gall bladder was acting up. And the other one was covering for the boss in her office. Oh well, a 4 day week.
I haven't been buying any books lately. I have been enjoyin some of the free E-book services.
Heading for Bloomington again tonight. Morgan's Christmas concert. And a little bird (named Morgan) told me she has has a solo.
Sharon, I am glad you are feeling better.
Nancy, it is hard when you have to put a pet to sleep. We have had to do it too.
Christine, Naps are a good thing. Especially on cold december weekends.
Dawn, I wish we were flying out of Rockford in March, but we are going out of Moline. It is easier for Monica.
Connie, love the scarf.
Hugs, LISA
