Sunday Roll Call
Not much going on today so just continuing yesterdays theme maybe I could sort some clothes.
I am too afraid of bedbugs to shop second hand anymore and new clothes are still expensive.
For years my main wardrobe consisted of three pairs of Wrangler's which do not come in my current size, two pairs of dress slacks, pocket Ts, short sleeve sports shirts that doubled for dress with either a suit or sports coat.
Good morning.
We had a good time at Monica's last night. Got home about 9. Of course, i did something stupid. I managed to pour a bowl of hot soup all over my right leg. No burn, but wet.
Today I want to finish wrapping and then bake sugar cookies. Maybe fold some laundry and put that away to. I will probaly pop a roast in the oven for dinner.
Hubert promises to have the buffet/hutch done before Chrismas. We will finish the room in January.
Hugs,
LISA
I always wash my used or new clothing and it is rare for me to try clothing on at a store. I usually can look at something and see that it will fit me by holding it up against me while in the store. I am pretty true to size. I also wash all of my internet bought clothing as you cannot know what the conditions were where they were packed before you received them.

Hi Randy and Lisa,
The concert and fellowship afterwards were so good last night. We were at the College Church in Wheaton. What a gorgeous organ in the church. Very nice place.
Church this morning, tree later and then just laying around. I am not feeling so great today.
Enjoy your day everyone.
Hugs,
Sharon
Hello everyone
I talked to Amanda last night for a long while (about 70 minutes). I was supposed to talk to her Friday but I never got a hold of her so I talked to her yesterday. We talked about old times and laughed. We talked about how we give each other nick names and we don't know anyone else that does that...like she very rarely calls me mom...she calls " meege, madge or yogleys" and I call her mambleys or mandrin....and we were laughing at where we got the weird names and why we started doing this and why we still do it??? She told me more about her new location in Ancash and her new job and her new family. They all sound terrific. I told Amanda to tell her host mom thanks for taking such good care of her..and Amanda said "aww that's nice. She will be so happy. the host moms are always so worried about the moms in America worrying about their kids. you will make her so happy" I didn't know my simple words of thanks would be received so warmly. So that got me thinking. I am going to send the family a Christmas card. I can't send them anything of value...because of theft.
Today I am working out and I am going to a used book store on Rt 30...I don't even know if it's open on Sunday...but I figure I will drive by and check it out. I also have laundry to do. I also want to swing by JC Penney again...they have this button thing they are doing. You go to the store collect buttons and the buttons have codes. Come home log the codes in and you can win prizes. I already won 2 $10 gift cards!!! So it's totally worth going back for more. Just go up to any cashier and ask for buttons!!! Yeah!!!
Randy- If your worried about bed bugs, buy your clothes and wash right away...wash them in ho****er and dry them in the dryer. The good thing is commercial dryers are super hot...hotter than home dryers...which works in your favor. It will kill any germs or bugs. believe me I have the biggest germ phobia...if I didn't think this worked I wouldn't be wearing used clothing. This also works for lice...I know because Amanda and I had an unfortunate incident with lice back when Amanda was 15.
Well off to enjoy my Sunday...enjoy yours...see you later...bye
I hope I watched a tv program during my fever that talked about the heirarchy in the Peace Corps.
Sounds like an Anthony Bourdain type of thing.
Went out to Jewel for quarters, detergent and things for clam chowder.
Got home overheated and opened the windows by my computer.
One closed and feeling normal but now you have my head itching. Never had lice but am often around folks who do..Scratch, scratch, scratch.
It is awful to have lice. For me it was more of a psychological thing. I swear I could feel them crawling on me!!! We got them because I was watching my sister's kids on the weekends and they had them. YUCK!!! Needless to say I completely disinfected my house and car and body (I think I spent about $200-$250 in lice killing products and that was 10 years ago). But ya you can get any of that from clothes from the stores. When I see people trying on hats or Halloween masks...that's what I think immediately is LICE!!!
