Hello Friends,

Christmas is coming quick. We are busy every weekend until January with something.

This afternoon there is a concert in Wheaton and dinner afterwards with our friends. It will be Christmas music, a fave of mine. I am baking this morning and cleaning up around here.

I went to Carson's yesterday in Orland and couldn't believe the designer clothes were affordable due to the sales. I bought a Ralph Lauren wool sweater for $56.00. The original price was $298.00. A splurge but I simply had to have it. :) I smiled because if you brought in something to donate to Goodwill you got an additional 25% off. Since I am a regular shopper at Good Will, the irony was not lost on me.

Have a great day everyone.

Blessings,

Sharon

Great finds at Carson's. I never really have done much shopping there other than gazing at the merchandise when I walk through to the parking lot. At Stratford Square in Bloomingdale I usually park my car at their entrance.

This is the time of day that I just love. I love the early morning solitude of the quiet and the neighborhood just waking up. After this I will go open the living room curtains and jus****ch the outside and enjoy my coffee. It is a great time to be alone with my God, thoughts and prayers.

We have a house party 2 doors down this evening. It is an annual event. Before that I will tackle first like I said to organize my clothing for next week to wear to work and then put the lights on the tree and get that rocking and rolling. A nap might be in order also . . .

Good Morning To Everyone.

Happy Hanukkah, We are heading to Bloomington tonight for a potato pancake supper at Monica' s. And the lighting of the first candle. For all that aren't aware, I am Jewish and my husband isn't. We tend to celebrate everything.

Nothing happening today until we go. I am making  a Kugel, to take . This one is made of noodles, apples and raisens. Kugel is a noodle pudding, or dessert. Theu can also be made od of potatoes, if you want a savory.

Yesterday, I had a cyst removed from the center of my back. These are common for me. Dr. Yung, of Southwest Derm. did it. All i felt was the numbing shot. He was done in 8 min. Love this Dr!

We then went at looked for a wedding dress for Annette. She is getting married in March. She decide on a long dress, not a Bridal gown. She got a one in pewter.

Sharon, I love deals like that.  One time I found some swim trunks on sale at Wards, for like $2 a pair. They were then discounted another 50% off. Since my hubby worked for them, with the employee discount, I paid .50 a pair. He wore them for at leas 10 years. I know we got our moneys worth!

Christine, have fun at the party tonight.

Have a great day,

Hugs, LISA

Online sources that I checked the other day were split as to if Hanukkah began on Saturday or Sunday.  My guess was that it begins at sunset Saturday.

Good morning!

I forgot to stop by yesterday so a double hello. We went out to breakfast yesterday to see our favorite waitress and then to the Bookworm Cafe to knit for a while. After we came home I still knit for several hours. Today there is a Winnebago Buy Local event held at Rockford College and so we will head out to that in a bit. We support local businesses as much as possible. I rarely go into any kind of chain stores if I can avoid them.

Other than the above, the weekend is calm with nothing in particular scheduled. We may go to Lessons and Carols on Sunday evening at a nearby church.

Have a good day and enjoy yourself.

Hello everyone

Saturday monrings...so relaxing.  I was up late last night since I didn't get my workout in till almost 9pm!!!  But lately it seems I don't go to bed till after 1am on the weekends anyway.  Funny thing is I don't really sleep in too much.  I was still up before 7am.  I guess my internal clock is set now and nothing going to change it.  I did get a lot done yesterday though.

Today is the usual.  I do my cleaning, and then workout.  Then I have to go to Walgreens, Menards and the library and that's all for my day.  The rest of the day I will be relaxing (aka...bored).

Maybe I will come up with a project.  I do have a ton of clothes in my closet that don't fit me anymore...but I'm not ready to get rid of them yet.  It makes me nervous.  It's just like before it took me a long time before I got rid of my clothes that were size 26+.  I was just so sure I was going to go back to that size and would have rebuy all of those clothes and I still have the same fear.  I think it's arrogant of me to think I won't ever regain.   I think that's why I work so hard.

I shop Carsons once in awhile.  I love the Ruff Hewen line.  I like the casualness of the clothes.   But I only buy off the clearance rack in that section because it's a bit pricey.  I haven't been there since the Summer.  I decided to spend some money and finally buy a good quality pair of sun glasses.  I always bought these crap glasses that fall apart in two minutes.

Nancy- well you made to the weekend..I hope you are relaxing and forgetting about that evil place...

Time to get my breakfast and relax a little.  Have a wonderful Saturday all...see ya later...bye

Sorry, 93 or 94 I think.  Had two open surgeries for hernia before they decided GB.  Major nausea before it was out so sooooooo much relief afterward even though healing from three trips into my gut and went home Christmas eve.

HI, there is a weird bug going around and it is a constant feeling of nausea. Alot of kids in Lockport are home with it. My friend has had it and she said it lingered for weeks and nothing helped it. She never barfed but she said it was very aggravating to feel nauseated all the time. She went to the doctor and he told her nothing helps it, just time. This morning my husband and I both woke up with it. UGH. Feel better. Hugs, Sharon
