Hello IL Chickies and Dudes,

Burrrrrrr, it's cold this morning. My dog, Suki gave me a dirty look when I let her out this morning. She is 12 and you'd never know she is a lab by the way she reacts to going out. She loves being inside where it is warm and dry.

I just put neck bones and sauerkraut in the slow cooker. I am running out early to my 8am class, then back to Kohls afterwards. I was there yesterday and found clothes for 85% off. I was at the one in Frankfort on Rte 30. I got a bag of clothes for less than 20 bucks. I also got a 90 dollar Dana Buchman purse for $8.50. Great gifting items.

Can anyone give me some gift ideas for a group of young ladies who all work at my chiropractors office? They are so wonderful and I'd like to get them something small as a thank you.

Have a great day dear ones, feel better if you are not tip top today.

Hugs,

Sharon

Still sleepy even after almost 12 hours of sleep. I have been burning the candle at both ends. The weekend is almost here but before that I have support group tonight with our annual holiday party - yeah I get to see Karen!

Sharon, you can get each of the girls a gift card from like Starbucks or DD. I am not sure how much you want to spend but you can get them as low as $5. Check out Jewel as they have a whole rack of gift cards from various restaurants and stores. I think Target has them also and I do know that Wally World has them as well.

Chris

PS - what is going to happen when it REALLY gets cold? It is not that cold out there.

then back to Kohls afterwards. I was there yesterday and found clothes for 85% off.

Kohl's is notorious for bringing merchandise in at above retail price and then marking it down and making it look like it is a really good deal.

On a side note they do have good quality clothing but I only buy from there when it is on "sale". My SIL usually always buys my Christmas gift there and I love what she picks out for me.

You can get some really cute earrings at Kohls for a reasonable price if you want to do something personal.  Or maybe a scarf or hat and gloves are always welcome in the winter.

Hi folks!

I always get a big fruit basket for office folks at this time of year because usually people bring sugar sugar sugar. I've gotten lots of thanks for fresh fruit.

I have a few errands today and a retirement party later in the afternoon. Haven't been to the med school since I put my cane away so it will be fun to walk in healthy and see a few old friends.

Sounds like a busy day for most of you. Enjoy!

Good Morning Everyone!

It looks like winter again or at least is starting to feel that way.  We have been swamped at work which makes the days interesting.

I am so ticked at my office.  They are threatening to write me up for a "pattern" of excessive sick days.  I took off early by 1/2 hour two days in Sept trying to avoid the problem that landed me in the hospital where I missed two days of work.  I then missed 1 day of work in November when I have had this bronchitis.  I have worked through temperatures and no voice and they still consider this excessive because they are dinging me for the time I had off last December and this past January.  They have already given me a verbal warning on that time and now they are including that time again and want to give me a written warning.  This is double jeopardy and I am fighting tooth and toe nail over this. GRRRR.  3 days off in an entire year.

Everyone have a great day!

Oh Nancy,

I'm so sorry you have to go through this at work.

This sounds very stressful. Hang in there.

I volunteered at the food pantry yesterday then came home to spend an hour figuring out that U-Verse was out in my area.

Hanging out at home this morning but have an appt this afternoon and a python meetup this evening.  Kinda crazy since it is on Elston and since there is no Elston bus I have to figure out the closest ones and if they run late to come home.
