Friday Roll Call

Hello everyone

I am so happy it's Friday and my antibiotics are working. 

I had to work overtime yesterday and will be working overtime today.  The auditing project is bigger than expected and I have to get that done today.  Not to mention I have a stack of credit memos I have to get done today and I promised I would stay today until everything was done.  So I'm at work today until whenever???

In spite of being busy I had a good day yesterday.  Some funny moments that had me laughing so hard I was crying.  Then there is this older guy at work that is so nice.  His name is Ken.  He was the guy that went out and check my wheel and told me I would need a new rim.  He came in yesterday and was asking me how everything went and his concern was so fatherly.  It was very refreshing to have a guy show concern and interest in you not because he wants to date you but because he thinks of you as a daughter.  I liked it.  He's officially my favorite guy at work now....

I wore my Fitbit yesterday finally...hearing Sharon talk about hers made me finally remember to take mine out of the box I had it stored in.  I did forget to put it on last night to workout!!!  I left it on my jeans!!!  Then I forgot to put it on after I took a shower (so I didn't wear it to bed).  So I am still trying to get back into using it again. 

Today after work(whenever that will be) I have to go pick up some groceries.  I want to go to Walmart...I want to get a thing that holds my cell phone on my dash board.  I'm tired of it sitting on my car seat.  I listen to my iPhones, iPod on my car stereo...so it would be nice to have a spot to dock my phone in the car.  Then I want to swing by Target, and Chipotle.  Then home and workout!!!  Whew...somone will be up late working out today...hahaha!!!  What are you all up to???

Well I have to get going I'm going to go into work early today...see ya later gators...bye

Crystal, you are as busy as ever.

Well, what we expected happened. The layoff starts today. It has something to do with funding. From what I understand, we are still using the 2012 funds, we still have client money, but not payroll funds. So, until they can get into the 2013 funding, this is what happened. Who knows.

I have 2 medical appointments today. Then off to Krogers and the post office, I think we are going to dinner tonight.

Good morning friends!

I have been hibernating this week, reading and napping. I think I OD'd on people during the cruise and this week I wanted silence. This is quite weird for me, I generally prefer a crowd, but I listened to my self and stayed quiet. My fistulas acted up during the cruise but now that I'm home and eating regular food they are behaving again. Unfortunately fish seem to really upset them and I love fish, but didn't eat much on the ship because it makes my skin break out and hurt.

The snow is so beautiful this morning. I'm going to sit on the porch and enjoy it.

Sure hope that porch is enclosed and heated.  It is a good day for enjoying snow from indoors.  I have three big windows to watch folks out on Irving Park.  Three more actually but I mainly just use these three.  I turn to my right and I am on my 'porch'.  I turn back to the left and I am in my office.

Randy, the porch has four skylights and four windows and a floor with electric heat underneath the tile so it is warm even on the coldest days.

I love Fridays...always have . I guess most people who live in the industrialized world do....duh!

Today I am going to wash all my floors. I got a new toy. The Eureka Envirosteamer and I am like a kid with a new toy. I had a Shark steamer but it didnt get hot enough. This one goes over 200 degrees. I love that thing, 

Tonight we are going to a fund raiser called Breast Intentions. It has a Mardi Gras theme so I spent 8 dollars at the dollar store yesterday and got beads and masks. Our favorite group Nova Soul is playing at the Henry Jacob Mansion in Joliet. We are going with about 20 of our closest friends TEEHEE. We were able to get 2 tables together. It should be fun. Before the event we are going to hit our favorite restaurant, the American Legion Hall in Joliet for the catfish. Yummo.

Crystal, I am in love with my FITBIT. I have lost 8 lbs in one week since I began wearing it! It is a pain in the keister to add all the foods, but once they are in and you add them to favorites, it is less time consuming. Do you just use it for the activity dash board or do you add your foods? If so how many calories do you eat daily?

Yesterday at the gym i weight trainee my back for the first time.  Somehow I guess i had overlooked that part of my body. My gosh am  I sore today! I guess DOMS is the culprit. I was pretty sore all night but was able to not take an advil. I am trying to not take any pills for pain to bypass possible liver issues. I know when we lose weight our livers are dumping a lot of toxins. I am trying to respect my liver and only put healthy stuff in my mouth.

Stay safe out there tonite.  We have gone from 34 to 26 here and you know what that means.  I thought the snow missed Joliet but that is where Crystal is and she is up in arms against the white stuff.

Randy- you always manage to make me laugh...I only got like a fraction of an inch.  But I like to complain regardless

Good Morning Everyone!

I could not believe how light it was out this morning!  I began to think I was late going to work!  What a difference when it is not raining or snowing.  You can see the time is changing which is good.   I too am glad it is Friday.  Even though it was a short week! 

It looks like Gage is going to come back to visit next week.  It is so good that he wants to come.  I think he will be here for about 4 days. 

Crystal, you are going to be a busy beaver today.  Just be careful when you are out running around late.  It is nice to have someone at work who is like a father/friend.  That is a refreshing thing to have. 

Lisa, I am sorry that the layoffs occurred.  I never can figure out how monies are used when using state and Federal Funds.  It always amazes me at what year's money they are using.  It seems like it is way off.  I hope this is short lived.  But enjoy the break. 

I enjoyed everyone's posts yesterday.  We are a bunch of interesting characters.  Crystal, I too was a tom boy and played with the neighborhood boys and so not much phased me.  I would have been out there cutting worms in half as well.  I took  things apart to figure out how they worked. 

Sharon, I cant picture you as a wimpy kid.  You have so much energy,  I am sure you gave your mom a run for her money. 

Not much going on for me today.  Just work and home.

Nancy-  Your post made me smile.  I too took things apart!!!  I would take anything apart just to see what it looked like inside.  I guess that's why I'm interested in auto repair maybe.  I forgot I did that until you mentioned it today!!!   

One time...it nearly got me in trouble.  I took my sister's tape recorder apart...and forgot how it went back together.  Probably because I shouldn't have been doing it so I was more worried about getting caught so I was paying more attention to sounds of people coming then to how I was taking things apart.  So any way I couldn't figure out how it went back together.  So I put back together the best I could and snuck it back into her bedroom.  Then when she thought she broke it my parents were saying "you always break your stuff"...I never got caught...I'm was a naughty kid...hahahaha!!!  Till this day no one but me and now you guys know I am the one that broke that tape recorder!!!! 

It was easy to get away with things when your parents are high all of the time.  But then again I got blamed for every thing even when it wasn't my fault...so it all even out in the end...maybe it was KARMA!!!!
