                                                                           Happy Hump Day!

I have been doing a naughty thing and that is turning my alarm off just before it is about to go off and then I fall back asleep, not good. Now I need to rush and get Bfast and ready for work.

What is happening in your area of Lincoln Land?

We are going to the San Fillipo nut store in EGV after I get off and then to Hallmark for a couple of cards and gift bags.

Yesterday in the Daily Herald I was reading that back yard bird watchers are going to be in for a treat this winter because of the fact that there is limited natural foods for the birds up in WI. We will find many of the birds like Red Bills & Evening Grosbeaks will head south to find foods like pine tree seeds as there is an abundance in IL but not in WI. We should enjoy the new visitors into late winter and then they will head back. They interviewed the guy who manages the Glenview & Arlington Heights Wild Birds Unlimited stores. He says that the trees go through this every 10-15 years where they do not produce seeds up north and the birds come south looking for food. I have met this guy at the AH store and he is really, really knowledgeable.

So happy bird watching. I have had an abundance of red breasted nuthatches, downy woodpeckers & red breasted woodpeckers this fall and early winter. The nuthatches and woodpeckers are fun to watch crawl up and down the trees. I am loaded with Chicadees also. Oily sunflower, safflower seeds, shelled peanuts and suet with nuts is the preferred food for the birds that will come south. One of the pictures with the article showed a person that had a Rufous Hummer here (not common to the area) just a couple of weeks ago.

Hello everyone

You know I never had a problem with alarms.  Some people do the whole snooze thing...but I just turn it off and get up.  And that's if it goes off.  I usually get up before the alarm goes off.  Talking about alarm clocks...I noticed that I never use my alarm clock anymore.  I use my phone now.  I got into the habit when I moved in with Brenda and I never stopped.  So I finally unplugged my alarm clock a week ago and packed it away.  I will just use my phone from now on.  Hmmm...I guess it's true you really do use your phone for everything nowadays...at least I do.

I have the usual going on work, working out, but before that I have to run to the store.

I am having trouble with my Skype and I haven't been able to call Amanda.  For whatever reason it's not letting me pay for more minutes.  When I try to load more minutes it just sits there, frozen.  I have tried everything.  I even went to work and tried paying for it on my computer there (thinking something was wrong with my computer) and the same thing happened!!  I deleted and re-entered my credit card#.  I am at a loss...I don't know what else to do???

Well I have to finish getting ready...have a good day all...bye

My alarm clock is so, so loud that I am afraid that it will wake Dave. I should know better he sleeps through it but I am just being nice to him. I bought it for the numbers which are close to 3" high so I can see them without my glasses. I also usually get up w/o the alarm but am still tired from the surgery. It will change eventually.

Can't help ya with the Skype as I do not know a thing about it. I am going to guess that they have a tech part of their svc that you can contact them? Maybe their system was overloaded when you tried the couple of times . . . Just a thought. I have had that with other websites and I go back a couple days later and it is fine.

Prayers coming to you. Just keep in mind that you will experience some bowel issues PO in the form of diarrhea but it will go away eventually. It has something to do with how the body processes the waste w/o the GB.

Good Morning Everyone!

I am thankful that it is hump day!   Not much planned for today.  I have a doctor's appointment this afternoon.  I am still not over my bronchitis and enough is enough.  Hopefully I can get something that will get rid of this stuff.   Today I am spending more money on a plumber.  I just had a toilet replaced last week because I was tired of it not flushing right.  They put in a super flush model and it does the job.  Today they are working on my shower.  I have hardly any water coming out when I shower.  They tell me there is a filter that must be clogged.  I hope they are right as it is a very expensive fix.

Denise, good luck with your surgery today.  I'm sending prayers and positive healing vibes your way.

Crystal, I am the snooze button person.  I want every minute of sleep I can get lol.

Chris, I know better than to turn off my alarm.  That is dangerous for me!  Have fun nut shopping.

Everyone have a great day.

I am just doing laundry. I can not wait for our insurance to restart. I have had some heart burn so bad. I think the stress over the summer caused me to push my limits on the band! I do not want to have to see the doc on it but I also do not want to do any bad damage. I have been babying it along for a few weeks. I also have been doing better at measuring food. I do know stress can mess with stuff and I find I am having bad  anxiety  worrying about another downfall. My husband has been trying to do better at taking care of himself, but life can sometimes just throw you a curve ball!  I gotta go time to hang my laundry out!

Have a nice day!

Good afternoon all!

Quick one for me.  I am swamped in work from being gone yesterday.

Yesterday, I went to Madison for some testing and it looks like another surgery is in store for me before the end of the year.  It is a colorectal issue and I am not looking forward to the idea.  BUT, my deductible is paid up for the year and it would be a prudent financial decision.  I DO want the issue fixed so I guess I have no choice.

I also visited my regular doc yesterday as I have been having sinus issues.  Turns out that I have both a sinus infection AND impetigo in the nose.  FUN!  NOT!!!

Todd took Liv for her first post-op check this morning and the Dr. says everything is healing well and no infection is present!  We still have to do drops for a couple more weeks but that is really good news!

I reported for my airport "job" on Monday and it was SO FUN!  I loved it and I loved my supervisor.  This looks like a positive thing.  I go back tomorrow night and am excited.

Thinking of Denise.  Hope all went well this morning and she has a speedy recovery.

Gotta get back to it.  Everyone have a lovely day!
