Hey Kids, fast fly by.
Over slept this morning but made it into work only 1 minute late. I am a morning person so let's see where this day leads. I have a feeling I will wilt by the time 11 rolls around. I am still holding open the option of leaving part way through the day but found out the boss is not in today so why spoil a perfectly good day without him here - TEEHEE!

Good morning Chris and the rest of the Illinois gang!
Yep, it is Monday today. I awoke before the alarm went off so I have had plenty of sleep. I think the weekend went by in a whirl. I managed to finish up all of my Christmas shopping so I am a happy camper. It feels so good to have that out of the way.
We are already super busy at work so I know what kind of day it is going to be. I have had 5 phone calls in about 20 minutes and it is not even 7:30.
Not much is happening in my corner, what's going on in yours? I hope everyone has a great week!

Busy day for me today, Grand daughter is here :) Pa calls her the joy maker and she is. PT for the knee replacement at 11;30, , start a 6 hr fast bout now,,, labs and one final CT at 2;30 , meet kids for dinner,,,,long day,,, i have a married son who married a police officer, she is pregnant with their second child, i also have a daughter Megan who is married and has a boy 2 and a 6 month old daughter, just t o let you know a little about me:) hope everyone has a great day, Denise

When our one female PO was preggo she was given a lot of work to do with helping the detectives with crime follow ups. She never was on the radio desk because we have strict guidelines for only having a trained person in dispatch. I am not even allowed to pick up a phone unless it is transferred to my desk. I am sure that in the event of an emergency I would be given a crash course for learning the phone system.

Hello everyone
I actually went into work 1 1/2 hours early. Then I ended up working through lunch and staying a 1/2 hour late. I got most of my work done. But hey I'm getting over time. This is nothing compared to the overtime used to log at my old job...60+ hours a week...so this is a breeze. And I actually like this job...have you really heard any complaining out of me...nope.
I am about to go workout. I just had to change and have my before workout snack. I haven't eaten anything since 12 so if I go workout without a small snack (1 tbsp peanut butter and 2 apple slices) I get very dizzy and light headed. Then I have to wait about 30 minutes after eating. Then I will come home and cool down, take a shower, eat dinner and relax. My evening in a nut shell.

Had a nice trip to Madison but the laptop keyboard is not repairable so I have a keyboard added to my laptop. At least the o and the l work on this keyboard. Am so not ready for a new computer. We had a mini class on the new iphone and had all our questions answered. Every person we've dealt with at Apple in Madison has been great. Then we went to lunch at Brasserie V and to the doc. I made ear flap hats for Dr. Garren's twins for Christmas and he was really touched. I gave him a reindeer ornament for his tree because he has been such a "dear" to us this year. Then one of the new nurses in the clinic was one who had taken care of me in the hospital so I got to visit with her. Way cool!
On the way home, Kay said, "isn't going to the clinic fun?" Who'd a thunk it!
