Sunday Roll Call
Hello IL Friends,
It was a busy few days with our son in town. He left yesterday and I am struck at how mature he has gotten. He is a senior at Columbia in NYC. He also works as a teacher in Harlem. He has managed to go thru a 4 year program and have no student loans. His tuition was a quarter of a million dollars and he owes nothing. How is it that a 4 year college degree costs 250K now a-days????
Friday we stuck close to home and then went to the holiday of lights parade in Joliet. Our church was giving out hot chocolate and candy canes. It was fun. We all went for pizza at Cemenos afterwards.
Yesterday we went to the airport and then just hung out at home not doing much. I was done with my Christmas shopping a month ago. I baked a bit yesterday.
Today we will be going to church and then coming home. It was a quiet slow holiday. Something we wanted.
Enjoy the last day of this long weekend.
Blessings,
Sharon
Applause to your son for being debt free. We are strong supporters of Moody in order to assist young people to go into their careers without debt. The students only pay for room and board. The supporters pay for the tuition.
When sleeping beauty gets up we are going out to stop at a few stores. First Meijer & Costco (the only places that we really need things from), American Sale, Michael's & Joann. The last ones are because they are on the route home and one cannot go past a craft store without stopping in - who knows I might just "need" something that I see.
I don't have to put on my Pack jersey until later on this evening but I am sure Davey will want to be back by noon for Da Bears.
Later Gators,
&
crud, I keep finding typos!

Hello everyone
Yesterday was good...loved, loved the movie. Got everything done I wanted and then some. Today I have to workout and do laundry...beyond that I have nothing else planned. So I will play it by ear.
If you read my Facebook you know I ran into the guy upstairs after my workout yesterday. I was mortified. I have always made sure I am looking good when I step outside my apartment just in case he is around. I want to look my best...you know. Well yesterday he saw me looking absolutely horrid. All sweaty and yucky. I mean really, really sweaty. I had a sweat stain on the front of my shirt bigger than the size of my hand...not to mention pit stains. I know, I know he might like that sort of thing...blah..blah....it was still embarrassing (I couldn't even look him in the eye). So I will be working out again...he better not be any where around when I get back or I will think this is some kind of conspiracy!!!
I can't believe my wonderful 4 day weekend is almost over...it was so nice while it lasted. Is it horrible that I am now thinking about the stack of work waiting for me tomorrow.
I think I might plan a nice dinner...I was thinking maybe greek chicken...I don't know we shall see.
Sharon- That's great no student loans. My daughter and her husband do. But they will have a portion paid off by the Peace Corp (it's part of their benefits package). Before they went to the Peace Corp they had to have all other debt paid off. The Peace Corp doesn't allow you to walk away from debt. Oh and I like Cemeno's Pizza. That's the pizza they order at work.
Well I guess I have to start my day...have a good Sunday all...see ya later...bye
Good morning Illinois, We didnt have the kids yesterday afterall, seems her husband and the 2 year old have the flu!! i saw them all on thanksgiving, oh please dont let me get the darn flu, gallbladder is scheduled to come out Wednesday morning!!!oh chris i did forget to tell you when didnt I ? IN all the strangeness and health issues in 2009 i had to have a stimulator(pacemaker) put into my brain, for nerve damage that was causing horrible pain, thank god for northwestern neurologist for figuring it out, but i forget things a lot now, they think it is a part of the brain stimulator, so if i forget on here you will know why! Well not sure what we are doing today, seems like no grandbabies so maybe a ride, have a great day all:) denise

Good morning!
Just waiting for my coffee to brew and checking email. No plans today but there are still a few Christmas decorations to put up and some rearranging to do. I want to get this done today so the house is picked up. Looking forward to some football later.
Have a great day folks!
