Hello everyone

It's Tuesday and it's the next to the last day of a very short week...of course I will pay for this next week when I come in on Monday (but I won't think of that right now).

Yesterday I had a good workout.  I had no hint of a migraine, for the first time in awhile...yeah!!!  I hope this happens more often.  Maybe the new migraine medicine regimine is finally kicking in.

Today after work I am meeting a friend and we are going to Sally's Beauty Supply.  She is going to show me how to mix my own hair dye.  She says they are better than what you get in the box.  She is also going to show me how to do my own highlights.  We are also going to grab something to eat.

So what are you guys up to today???

I really am enjoying this nice weather.  Have a great day all...see ya later...bye

Hi Crystal,

When I started going white (never saw gray) I went to Sally's and I was amazed at how great the tints colored my hair. Prior to that I used Feria. Now I go to the salon every 3 weeks for color. My natural color was a ginger reddish light brown and I now have it dyed dark red which fades fast. As I get older i want to go lighter. If I reach goal by spring, I am going to go back to light ginger and eventually let it go natural.

There is an amazing chiropractor in Lockport who treats migraines. I know 3 people who go to him . Within 2-3 weeks they all were migraine free. I do not go to traditional doctors, just to him now. He has cured my ear-aches, sinus headaches, post nasal drip, heart burn and terrible knee and lower back pain. When I started going to him, I could barely walk, especially when it rained out due to severe bone on bone pain in my knee. I no longer have any knee pain. I also used to live on zyrtec-d. I have taken it for 12 years for bad allergies. I no longer take them. I have no allergies for the first time in my adult life. I used to have terrible ear aches from swimming. I no longer have those either. He has a fitness center in his office with certified personal trainers that work one on one with his patients. His equipment is state of the art.  The price is miniscule and he takes all insurances. I am amazed at all the seniors who go to him who are on no prescriptions and are in great health. They all rave about how he got them off their pain meds.  If you ever decide you'd like to see him let me know and I will hook you up.

Yesterday I had 2 great work outs. I have been working out on the arc-trainer at the gym and it used to kick my butt. Now it is becoming my friend. I am working out on it again today after my swim.

Everyone, thanks for all the kind words regarding cleaning my mom's room. You all are so awesome. I come here and know you guys have my back.

I am so not in the holiday spirit. My daughter will not be around with the kids for the holidays so for me without her there is no holiday. I am trying to stay focused on Jesus and His beautiful birth.

I need a job........that's what I want for Christmas.

Have a beautiful day everybody.

XOXOXOX

Sharon

Sharon-  I too have gone lighter.  More of a medium brown...but I would like to put some golden highlights in.  I have been going grey since I was 23...I blame that on the fact I was a young mother.  I would like to go to a salon but it's so expensive.

I am sort of interested in the chiropractor.  I am suspicious of chiropractors, I don't really trust them.  But I might be willing to try one.  I'm not sure.  I just don't want him to mess up my spine or something.  They worry me with the way they crack your neck.  I might need some time to warm up to the idea.  I am open to the idea...believe me I need to get past these migraines.  I would love to workout and not worry about getting a migraine.  I think I would be at goal if I didn't have that obstacle.

I know exactly what you mean about the chiropractor. I was never interested in a chiropractor before either because I am weird about men touching me. My daughter has been going to a chiro with my grand-babies for years. I have never had my neck cracked. That would freak me out. I know atleast 10 people who see Dr. Radcliff. He has patients come from out of state to see him. He also was the professional chiropractor to a pro sports team, but i do not know which one. If you u decide you want to try it his website is on Facebook.

Good Morning,

We were busy at work yesterday, we will be today and tomorrow also, if the last few years are any indication. It seems like the week of a holiday, everyone all of a sudden wakes up. Oh well.

Hubert and I went to Menards last evening. I am hoping this is the last time for the wall unit I asked him to build for me. This project is starting to get $$$. We then stopped at "Cabin Fever" to grab a bite. Nancy, have you been there? What did you think?

Tonight when I get home, I should pack for the weekend. We are heading to St. Louis after dinner on Thursday. We will be spending some quality time with friends.

Hugs,

LISA

Morning everyone. I slept in due to going to bed at about midnight. Since the surgery I get trapped burping gas and I get miserable from it and I was up later with that issue. I have to learn a new lifestyle and not eat or drink much liquids later in the evening. I was told yesterday that it will pass when I heal more internally.

Regarding the appointment yesterday - it went great. I am healing as I should and have lost weight in the process also. I kept food logs and the protein intake is really good but the liquids are not up to par. I have been told that I can get liquids in me in the form of broths, protein drinks and water where I can get it in. I have to drink liquids real slowly or in small medicine cups. Gas-X is my friend for the time being with that situation. I can up my activity level also but no heavy lifting - it does not take a rocket scientist to figure out the weight portion of the equation.  I am going back to work on Monday as planned and the note supposedly has been faxed into the boss already. I just need to call and make sure that it is in his hands and then drop the info on him about the uniform. Like I said yesterday it should be okay with him just as long as I am in appropriate business casual clothing to greet citizens at the window. Until then I am taking advantage of nap time.

Dave is going to take the train down to Daley Plaza this afternoon and watch the lighting of the Christmas Tree. I am staying home on recommendation of the doc due to the amount of people and the amount of walking to and from the train. That is okay as we will be down there on the 30th to stay for 2 nights when we go to a Christmas Concert at Moody Memorial Church. We are staying at the Holiday Mart Plaza with some of the most fantastic views of the city.

Need to get moving with my day.

Good morning Crystal and the rest of Illinois!

I can't believe it is already Thanksgiving either.  I managed to get my groceries last night without killing anyone.  I also am not "feeling" it.  Maybe that will change tonight.  Riley is coming out to stay and help with preparations.  She is always fun.

My birthday present was the return of my prodigal son.  He showed up late Saturday afternoon just as I was about to clean out his room.  He is trying to be his sweet self, but his dark self creeps out every now and then.  I guess it will be a day-by-day thing with him.  He is watching Riley all day tomorrow and they are supposed to clean the house for the holiday.

I really need to get back to working out and stop procrastinating.  I'm sure I can ride the bike with the bad ankle and knee.  I think that  will be a great place to start.......I just have to start.  I've been a little on the depressed side lately and I also think working out will help.  I have to get back to taking care of ME.

The chiropractor sounds awesome.  I believe that alternative medicine is worth a shot.  Too far for me though.

Gotta get back to work!

Tell someone that you love them!

Good Morning my Illinois Friends

We are halfway through the week.  Although I work on Friday.    It will be a VERY boring day with almost no calls.

I am just plugging along this week.  Still feel only so so.  The bronchitis is still with me.  IT likes me.

No special plans for the week.  I cannot get in to see a dentist until next Monday.  I have no teeth that meet  so I am on a liquid diet.  Sigh.

Enough of my pity party.

Lisa, I like Cabin Fever.  It is a different place that is casual.  The food is good.  But in the end it is another burger joint.

Everyone have a great day.
