Monday Roll Call
Hi Friends,
Can you believe Thanksgiving is this week? Our son, Michael is coming in from NYC and we are excited. This is the first time he will be coming in for Thanksgiving in a few years. We are going to my mother-in-laws. It should be nice.
I am busy this morning. I have an 8am aerobics class and then will go work out with my trainer at 10:30a. After that, I intend to clean up my mom's room for Michael. It will be the first time anyone has used the room since she passed away a year ago. I'm going to put on my big girl panties and just do it.
What is everyone else up to?
Blessings and hugs,
Sharon
'Mornin young lady and the rest of IL.
I have my first PO appointment today at 1230. We are going to stop at Wally World ( jesh I dislike that store) but need to see if I can find some casual cheap slacks to fit over my binder and my swollen tummy. I did not have any sutures as they used skin glue on the outside. I was thankful for that as I have not been itchy all over. I went to our local small Target yesterday and did not find anything but found 3 pairs at our local resale shop. I need pants with an elastic waist. I feel like I am regressing in my WLS life but know that is not true. I tried on my uniform pants yesterday morning and they "just" fit but that is without the shirt tucked in and then me sitting down for extended periods of time. It is going to be uncomfortable next Monday. The DC will be okay with it. I will just have casual "all week" instead of Casual Friday. I am scheduled to go back to work next Monday.

Hello everyone
I'm with you I can't believe it's already Thanksgiving. I spent the weekend decorating for Christmas. Normally I am so Christmasy. But this year I am just not feeling it. I know it's because Amanda isn't here. So in an attempt to feel the Christmas spirit I started to decorate...because usually by now I am like a little kid and all excited about Christmas...and nothing. I still feel no excitement. I'm not posting this on Facebook because Amanda reads that and I don't want her to feel bad. I am hoping I will feel differently as the season goes along.
I do have lots of plans this week. But not today...I am working and working out. That's it for me.
This is weird...maybe not. But I have been having trouble with a rash on my neck that has been coming and going. Well I think I know what's causing it. I think it's my own sweat??? I noticed that after my workouts my skin seems very irritated. Yesterday my arms were even itchy. So I came home splashed water on myself right away...in attempt to get some of the sweat off me. Has anyone ever heard of sweat irritating you to the point of making you break into a rash on your arms and neck???
Nancy- You know Augustana was one of Amanda's college choices. She was accepted there...but U of I was Amanda's top choice. Augustana has a great environmental science program that's what attracted her. She has a friend that gradated from there and loved it. Good luck to Gage.
Sharon- Lots of hugs your ways as you clean your mom's room. Just remember the beautiful times and relationship you had.
Well time to eat and get ready...have a good day all..see ya later bye
Oh my, I have the same sweat issue problem. I hate that darn rash. I get mine when I work out, but worse i get it at night. I freeze so I get under the blankets, then i overheat and sweat after i fall asleep and wake up with the rash. Ugh. I do believe we should be reporting it to our physicians so it can be documented. I could use a neck lift, the folds are gross from all the weight loss. I do put powder on at night and use the itch cream during the day. I have found that helps.
Thanks for all your sweet support.
Sharon
PO? Fuzzy mind filled with Python finally realized post op rather than physical something or other.
100 percent on my Python final.
Unloading the truck this morning then sorting the mail.
Have to figure out why the mail pharmacy thinks they need to send me a prescription since I did not order anything unless they are just now telling me they are sending the one I received on Friday.
Moving on Interactive Python but maybe not today.

Good Monday Morning Everyone!
I am like the rest of you ... How did it get to be thanksgiving week already? I wish the days would slow down. I am not sure what we are doing for Thanksgiving. We are invited to my sisters and Rick is willing to go but I am like so so. IT is a 3 hour trip, they are not eating until around 4 pm and I have to work on Friday which means we get home late. I almost would rather stay home but I would like to see the family.
I had a nice long visit with my sister yesterday. I think my niece who got marred 2 years ago is going to get a divorce. That really makes me sad. She moved to New Jersey hoping that the situation would improve because he wanted to go there and it has not. He does not trust her and is way to controlling. The controlling part frightens me. I hope he is not being abusive. They have Enzo who is 18 months. So sad.
Like Crystal, I am not in the Christmas spirit. I don/t think Rick is either. I asked him if we were decorating this year and he said he did not think so because of the cats -- chicken.
Sharon, as you clean out your mothers room and find things that bring back memories, take the time to remember and treasure the time that you had with her. Remember that you dont have to give everything away just now. Keep what you want. IT is okay to keep things.
Chris, good luck with WalMart. I HATE the place but I endure it every week due to its low prices. Do you feel ready to go back to work next week? If not, DO NOT go back.
Crystal, I break out from my own sweat. I just have very sensitive skin. So when I get really sweaty I always shower immediately after that activity.
Randy, congratulations on getting 100% on your final! As for your mail order meds, if they are like mine they are on auto refill and they send you more well before you need them.
Dawn, I hope you had an awesome birthday!
Everyone have a great day!

It is a matter of the amount of leave that I have banked. I can go on FMLA if necessary and have the paperwork to carry to the doc today but I have to exhaust my vacay, sick and personal days before going on FMLA. FMLA will then be WO pay and that is not an option for us; well we would get by but I do not want to go that direction.
WalMart is a place that I truly hate especially with what that company does to small business owners in small towns. We go there sparingly. We do go there (Super WalMart) in the Dells because it is a great place to walk inside when the weather is nasty up there. I will many times see things at Wally World and then will look for it elsewhere. I am not real fond of Target either because it is owned by Macy's and I dislike what they did to Marshall Fields. I will not even walk through Macy's @ Woodfield even if the weather is horrible and it is short cut to my car.

Christine- I completely agree with you about Walmart. This place does wreck small businesses and and towns. Have you watched the Walmart movie "The High Cost of Low Prices"...this was a movie Amanda had me watch and it really was an eye opener. Every time I step foot in that place I feel bad shopping there. I really need to find a better place to shop.
