Wednesday Roll Call

A late start this morning compared toa 3am start yesterday.  Over half the registered voters in the precinct I worked voted yesterday.

My prayers are with Chris and Dave this morning and with all of you.

I will be going to the food pantry and then back to Python this afternoon.  I hope my muddled brain is still retaining the material from Monday to finish the weeks homework.  After that comes the torturous part of reviewing the entire semester for the final which is an actual three hour final.

Hello everyone

We all know who the next president is and I hope you cast your vote and had your say.  Because I always say if you didn't vote you have no right to complain for the next four years.  I just couldn't stay up and watch anymore last night.  It was so close...I thought I will go to bed and when I wake up it will be over...and it was.  Thank goodness. 

I talked to Amanda last night because she will be incommunicado for 10 days!!!  She is going to be going to different locations through out the mountain region of Peru.  Also, more importantly she will get to see her new community she will be living for the next 2 years and meet her new family she will be living with.  So she is very excited.  She was telling me about the driving conditions there in Peru.  I'm sort of worried for her safety.  It sounds like they drive like animals there.  They drive just completely nuts in unsafe conditions!!!  She said they drive too fast and all over the road, on the shoulder, in the middle of the road, passing vehicles.  She told me on more than one occasion their vehicle "touched" another vehicle.  And I said don't you mean a fender bender...and she said ya in the US but here people don't stop for that stuff.  She said the buses are so stuffed with people that they are hanging off the sides.  I said "you aren't hanging off the side are you"  and she said "definitely not"!!!  I am now very thankful for the traffic laws in the US!!!  They don't stop if they hit another car...that just baffles me???

Today after work I am driving to Fox Valley mall to buy some stuff there.  Other than work that's all for me.

Good morning!

This is knitting day for me. I have only three rows left on a Christmas present thanks to the election. I couldn't go to sleep so I just kept knitting. Better than playing solitaire! The shawl pattern was confusing and difficult but it looks beautiful and I'm glad I persevered.

Good Morning Everyone!

Happy Hump Day! 

I can also add that I am happy the election is over!    It was a lot closer than I thought it would be.  When I went to bed the electoral votes had gone to Obama and the popular votes to Romney but that was changed when I woke up this morning.   At least we did not have a situation where the popular votes said one thing and the electorial votes said another. That is so wrong. 

My thoughts are with Chris and Dave this morning.  I pray for a successful uncomplicated surgery for Chris. 

Randy, it sounds like you had a VERY busy day yesterday.  The polls were crowded here as well.  People had their say.  Good luck on your 3 hour final.  I forget what those are like -- thank goodness!

Crystal, that is exciting that Amanda and Charles get to visit their newly assigned area and meet their host family.  IT will be nice to have a mental picture of the place to look forward to and know where you will be staying.  I think we are very fortunate with the way people drive here.  In Poland they drove all over the roads, sidewalks and everywhere as well.  It was crazy.

We are observing customer service week here and are doing fun things every day.  There have been some creative things to do each day.  Today is Casino day.

Hello All,

My thoughts and prayers are with Chris and her family. 

Everyone sounds very busy this week. 

I have been in a crock-pot phase all week and just love not having to stand in front of the stove and cook. It's nice to come home in the evening to delicious smells and a hot yummy meal.  

I, like everyone, am very happy this election is over. It was stressful at times.

I, now,  am looking forward to the holidays being over. I must be getting old, because my mom used to say that.

Not much for me today, just zumba and weight training. I am going to try and get rid of some old clothes as well.

Good afternoon Randy and the rest of Illinois!

I have been thinking about Chris since early this morning.  I hope things are going well.

Working then home.  What an exciting life!  Getting used to the time change.  By the time I get home and it is dark, I want to curl up and rest. 

Gotta get back, just wanted to stop by quickly!

I was just stopping in to see if there was any word on Christine, I knew she was having surgery today! My prayers are with her. I will stop back by sometime tomorrow!
