Friday Roll Call
Hello IL OH'ers,
Today, I have to take a friend to Chi-town for a shot in her spine and then I intend to buy some cheap clothes. I had 2 wardrobe malfunctions in the pool this week. My bathing suits are huge and I cant jump around and do aerobics when my bottoms are falling off. I've also worn out one pair of pool shoes so I have to get another pair. My tops are all huge and my pants look like clown pants. I'm going to try the second hand stores. Where do you gals get their clothes while losing? I've had no luck at Walmart.
It's hard to type because I am surrounded by my 3 cats. All are vying for the position on my lap. These 3 guys are so comical. It's so cool in my bedroom at night, but my head is always toasty because they all sleep around my head........LOL
Have a great day my dear ones.
Sharon
Hi everyone,
We're about ready to head out to Carbondale. Car is packed with Love seat, 2 chairs, end table and hassock all rattan and the pillows packed around the furniture. Hooray for a Grand Caravan--they are so roomy! I can't wait to see this furniture on my daughter's porch and so glad to get it out of our family room!
Since it's November I'm going to try to remember to do a grateful each day: grateful to get to see my daughter tonight!
Have a good day, friends,
Connie

Hello everyone
Yeah it's Friday...my favorite day of the week, because the whole weekend is ahead of you.
Sharon, I always get my pants or jeans at Goodwill/thrift stores. Right now all but one pair of my jeans that fit me are from Goodwill and they are all name brand. I always buy ahead too. If I see a pair of size 12's that look nice I will buy them,,,heck for 3.99 or 4.99 why not. I have a drawer full of jeans that will fit one day. My tops are 50/50 Goodwill and retail, but that's because tops are more forgiving. You can wear tops a little big...but I hate wearing big jeans..and refuse to now. my coats and jackets are Thrifts store too. One is retail. I got a great Columbia coat for $30 (they are usually $130. But when you are losing weight what's the point of buying new if it will only fit for 1-2 months...
Talking about buying clothes today after work I'm going to Old Navy because I have $10 coupon if I spend $25. I need another sweater. So I will do that and a couple of other errands and then come home work out and relax....ahhh.
Dawn- I will be thinking about Liv today. Sending lots of healing vibes today.
Of course Christine's surgery is coming up soon too.
Well I gotta go eat breakfast now...hope you all have a great day...see ya later...bye
Crystal,
I went to Macy's in Bolingbrook in the Promenade and they are having a sale to die for.........So much was on clearance and 65%-80% off. I found 2 tops for 4.99! They were marked down 4-5 times and then had an additional 30% off. They were originally over 50 bucks! They had leggings for 10.00 so I bought a couple pairs since they are so forgiving and i can wear them for at least another 20-30 lbs weight loss. The prices there were better than Walmart.
I also tried Goodwill and bought 2 sweaters. I have an apron tummy that is really hanging down now. It is soooooo embarrassing. I need long tops. I think I may invest in some "shape-wear". In my day we called them girdles.
Great idea to grab smaller sizes if you see them. Thanks for the heads up.
Sharon
Sharon- I wear shapewear, but just the top not the bottom. I do have some extra skin and the shapewear makes it suck in and not shake around. So I can wear more clingy tops and not have that "muffin top" or rolls. I wear one every day. I personally like the ones from Hanes. They do the job and they only cost $16.99...instead of the $30-$40+ of the name brands. They sell them at Target. As far as leggings...I like jeans. I like sweats too, but only for working out or around the house. I'm a single gal...you never know when hot guy might be lurking at Walmart or Walgreens....and then BAM!! I'm in sweat pants and no makeup!!! NO WAY!!!
There's a Macy's here in Joliet and I will be out that way later...I will have to check it out.
Good Morning,
Connie and Kay, enjoy yourselves this weekend. We are going down Thanksgiving weekend I think.
Dawn, my thoughts are with Liv this morning. U will have home in a short time.
Nancy, if your blood count is that low, why wont your Dr. suggest extra iron for you? When mine went low, under 6 one time, they started giving me transfusions. Mine was caused by a tear in the colon.
Sharon, most everyone uses Goodwill for clothes. Or, by shopping your own closets.
I am sitting here eating my breakfast. Mean and cheese rollups and a banana.
We areheading to Yorkvlle this morning to help Annette and Rick. They want to get back into thier townhouse. Its been a long 6 months for them, since the fire.
Have a great day, be grateful we don't live on the East Coast.
Hugs,
Lisa
Good Morning Everyone. It's Friday! I can't wait until 3:30 pm.
Yesterday, I was shocked to have them come up to me at 9:30 am and tell me I could go home at 9:45 am. We were not busy so out the door I went! I did not get much accomplished as I went back home and layed down and went to sleep. lol.
Sharon, I know what you mean by trying to type with cats all around. I usually am trying to type while holding a cat! Or else they are walking on the keyboard! I did a lot of shopping from my closet as I was loosing weight. I never throw stuff away. Bad habit. I hope your friend has not had a previous spinal shot from one of the clinics that had the bad shots.
Connie, I love the idea of thinking of something that I am thankful for each day. What a great way to focus on the positive! I hope you have a great trip and enjoy your visit.
Lisa, I am so happy that Annette is finally getting back into her home. IT has been a LONG 6 months. It will be nice for her to feel like she can be permanently settled again. As for my blood count being low, I am not low enough for a transfusion yet. So I just live with it. sigh.
Crystal, enjoy your sweater shopping. Think about casual conversations for laundry on Sunday. You CAN do it girl!
Dawn, positive thoughts and good vibes to LIV today.
Everyone have a great day!
Cat Lady
Hi all!
LIv has been in surgery for about an hour now. They have a text system and the last text says, "Olivia is doing well. Surgery is progressing." They send a text when they start, then hourly updates, then one when they are finishing. Todd and I can both be with her in recovery.
That's what my day is all about today. I am using the computer in the waiting room. Technology is great!
Thank you to everyone for the good thoughts, wishes, prayers vibes, energy and support!
