Could not sleep. I guess I am overtired from yesterday. I got all of the chores done in the house, errands run and finished the laundry. I have my liquids set out that I can have for the next two days, "Bfast" & "lunch" ( if you call it that) set aside to take to work and just need to get ready to go to work. I am now downgraded to just clear liquids. That includes decaf coffee or tea, broth, water, Crystal Light drinks, Isopure or Protein Blitz (you can get these from GNC or Vitamin Shoppe), SF popsicles or Jello.  I am going to miss the Slim Fast, Special K Protein drink and my ready made drink called Premier from Costco. The Slim Fast & Special K drinks are a little higher in calories and these were on my list on purpose and that is because they are a little higher in calories and sugars and that is what the dietician wants you on. All of the items they choose for the liquid protein diet equal around 800-900 calories. I cannot deny it as I am a little hungry but I am dealing with it - hence the busyness yesterday.

When I come home all I will need to do this evening is clean off the kitchen island. It always becomes the catch all for anything we do not want to deal with for a while. Some of it sits there for longer than a while.

So you have been forgiven?

Randy, it actually is a big relief because of the possibility of having obstructions far outweighs some of the discomfort I will have. The threat of having another obstruction really worries us because it can burst and who knows where I would be at. Hopefully not in the Dells.

Hello everyone

Another weekend gone in a blink of an eye.

I have a doctor appointment today.  I want to see if I can get a flu shot and I want to talk to him about switching my migraine meds.  We shall see.  My eyes look all irritated again and I know why.  The steroid drops I have been taking well I have weaning myself off them and finally stopped taking them Saturday.  I woke up this morning and they are all red!!!  What the heck.  I think I should just let it be and deal with the redness for a bit.  I can't keep taking the drops forever and the doc even said that.  They can elevate the pressure in your eyes.

Other than the doctor appointment I have work and working out.  I have a yummy chicken dinner in the crock pot.  So all is well.

No luck with the hot guy doing laundry yesterday.  but I have a feeling he's not the type to do laundry every week, because he had a ton of laundry last week...it looked like a couple weeks worth...single guys...hahaha!!!

Time to eat breakfast.  I was trying to tell my friend Monica how important it is NOT to skip meals.  That study after study shows that skipping meals leads to obesity.  It's one of the #! habits of obese people.   I think it went in one ear and out the other.  It was one of things I worked hard to change about my life style.

Christine- The count down is on.  You will be in recovery and feeling better in no time!!!

Have a good day everyone...Bye

Good Morning Everyone!

I agree with Crystal that the weekend flew by!  I still am not sure where it went to.  All I know is that I am back at work wondering where my weekend went.

I did my weekly shopping yesterday and got stuff for 3 different charities while I was shopping.  This is the week we stuff Christmas stockings for the soldiers overseas.  Then I got some hats and gloves for the needy kids.  We are collecting those at work and finally I got some Christmas tree decorations for a little girl that has cancer.  She has two outdoor trees and the family has requested decorations for her trees.  All good causes.

The cats kept me in stitches over the weekend.  They just do not stop with their antics.  Just when I think they are going to be "normal" one of them does something totally funny.

Chris, your big surgery is coming rapidly.  Thoughts and prayers for a uneventful surgery and a speedy recovery.

Dawn, it sounds like Liv is doing pretty good after her surgery.  I hope she continues to heal rapidly.

Connie, I am glad you are safely back home from your latest travels.  I love your moms attitude " Dont fuss over my birthday, but then it is my right to tell everyone it is my birthday"  So typical of older people.  I got a chuckle out of that.  I figure if you live that long you can have it any way you want.

Everyone have a great day!

Good morning Steven and the rest of Illinois!

Thank you again for all the love, prayers, thoughts and support for Liv.  She is back to her old self as of last night.  Kind of a rough start but all is now well.  We just have to keep water out of her ear for the next 4-6 weeks.  With all the hair she has, it makes it very interesting trying to wa****

Chris, you day will be here soon and I am wishing you an uneventful surgery and speedy recovery.

I go tomorrow for fingerprinting at the airport so that I can start the volunteer work in a couple weeks.  I think it will be fun.

Lisa--glad to hear that Annette is getting back home.  What a long 6 months!

Nancy--your cats sound like fun and I admire your charitable efforts.

Sharon--you are very busy, as usual.  I don't stay out late much any more either.

Connie & Kay--sounds like the weekend was fun and yes, I am sure you will be wanting to travel again soon.

Randy--you seem to keep pretty busy too.

Gotta get back to work!

Everyone have a wonderful day!

Tell someone that you love them!

Hi everyone!

Went knitting this morning and now thinking a nap sounds fine! Had a new protein bar from Quest today. It's coconut and man is it fine! Delicious! Makes getting protein between meals a treat!

I ordered on line for the second time and got a free extra bar. They even have a regular ship option which I might try next. These are really good.

Have a good day!

Connie
