Wednesday Roll call
Good morning everyone!
Happy Halloween to those who observe it and happy Wednesday to the ones who don't. I haven't done Halloween in 30 years. Never liked it even as a kid except for the candy which my mother confiscated since I was always "on a diet".
We have breakfast with friends, then knitting. I could copy my post from last week my life is so repetitive, but I like it this way.
I'm wearing a sweater today that I must have knit more than ten years ago and haven't been able to wear since. It's one of my favorite patterns. I'm glad I kept it! Those NVS's are almost more fun than the scale!
Have a wonderful day! At least we have electricity!

Good Morning,
Connie, where are you taking your Mom for her birthday? My Mom has been gone since 84, she passed way to young. Enjoy the time with your Mom.
The days do seem to blend together. Then, something happens and it stands out.
As usual, I overslept. Maybe that is the wrong word. I woke up at 5:30, and layed there until 6:15. I will learn not to do that.
Hugs,
LISA
Lisa, my sister has an Italian restaurant in Columbia, IL picked out. I don't know the name. My sister and her family say "if the food looks like you can take a picture of it, we won't eat there". She likes "plain food". I say so little food, it must taste like you can take a picture of it", so we don't do meals well. Kay and I are going out to lunch at Wildflower in the Central West End where my sister would never go so we can have one excellent meal. This is probably all more than you want to know! LOL!

Good afternoon Connie and the rest of Illinois!
I am working, then home to make a fried chicken dinner with all the fixin's for Liv and the family. Tomorrow night, we will go to her conference then leave for Madison. She wants to go to Flat Top for dinner before her surgery on Friday. That means this will be the last chance for me to cook for her for a few days so I am spoiling them. I am a little nervous for this surgery. She has had LOTS of tube surgeries but those take less than 15 minutes. This one is supposed to be about 3 hours of surgery but no overnight stay. I will take her back to the hotel and keep an eye on her there, just in case........
I have an appointment for next week to be fingerprinted and get my badge for the airport volunteer job. They are hoping to have us start sometime in the first couple of weeks of November. I think that I can work as much or as little as I wish. I am excited!
I also just realized that Thanksgiving is coming and I should probably get my plans for THAT together. I will cook in Rock City and invite Amber's family and anyone else who does not have any place to go.
Time for me to get back to work.........
Everyone have an awesome day!
