Wednesday Roll Call
Actually, My post is time stamped five minutes before yours this morning. I am so slow at typing, that has happened to me several times and I just delete mine and repost in the earlier thread.
The admin at Six Corners association is planning on starting a knitting group. Cheryl has misplaced her gloves and scarf in the move so I guess we have to look for those this weekend, buy more or get my fingers moving awfully fast.
Hello everyone
I am up and ready for work and eating breakfast. Like I said before, no special plans for Halloween. I was thinking when was the last time I dressed up for Halloween...it was for work years ago. I went as a housewife. I put on a robe and slippers and put rollers in my hair...then I put white make up on my face (to look like cold cream) and carried a rolling pin around. Surprisingly, my costume went over really well...especially with the men...go figure.
Well I hope you all have fun with your Halloween plans. Have a wonderful day...bye.
Sorry everyone, I posted on Connies first. Didn't realize there were 2 this morning.

Happy Halloween!
I am at work. No costume but getting ready for a bunch of kids that come trick or treating. The employees bring their kids in. I am making a game that is like pin the tail on the donkey but it is put the spider in its web. It should be fun for the kids.
Not much else happening. I am looking forward to trick or treat but disappointed that it is so cold outside.
I hope everyone has a great day!
Cat Lady
Hi Y'all,
I do not know how i missed posting yesterday. I got up early and was out of the house all day. That must be why.
We had a ton of little monsters today. Thank goodness the candy held out and i did not have to pretend I wasn't home for the last few stragglers.
I went to a parade at my friend's grandson's elementary school today. It was so fun to watch the little ones in their costumes. I miss being a mom to a little one. My baby is 35. My mom used to say, "when they are young they step on your toes, when they grow up they step on your heart" Sadly, I have found this to be true.
I went to my old work yesterday. I drove my friend to the doctor and my old employer was nearby so I stopped to say hello. NOBODY recognized me. At first I thought they were joking, but I soon discovered nobody knew who I was! 6 months ago I weighed almost 100 lbs more, had darker long hair and wore glasses. Today my hair is short and light red. I was wearing contacts. I had on tights, a long sweater, short jean jacket, high leather boots and a leather beanie. You'd think I had a sex change the way they reacted. LOL. I do not see myself the way others seem to see me. I look in the mirror and still see the person I once was.........I guess I have to give it time. Has anyone else experienced this?
Have a great evening everyone,
Blessings,
Sharon
Sharon- I am now going on about 170 lbs lost (give or take a pound). I used to keep my hair above my shoulders and wavy and now it's down to the middle of my back and straight. I do get a reaction from people that haven't seen me in awhile. People that didn't know me before the surgery and I show them a before picture sometimes don't believe it's me. I am still look in the mirror and see a fat person....I don't know if that will ever change. On a good day I feel good about myself though. And every once in awhile I will catch a glimpse of myself in a store window or something and not realize it's me and I think...hmmm she doesn't look half bad...and then I'm like "hey that's me"
