Tuesday Roll Call
Hello everyone
Nothing spectacular to report today. Except I had a bad work day. The bank website I download my ACH (electronic payments) from was down till 2pm yesterday so I didn't even get to start that part of my job till then. I stayed late to get my work done. Oh well I got some overtime. I don't do it that much anymore...not like I used to. Anyway I contacted the bank to find out what the deal was and I was told it was a "migration problem" whatever that is...and it could be an ongoing problem as they are updating the systems. GREAT!!!
Other than that it was an uneventful day. I got my ipod problem solved finally. It was a very simple fix. It always is and you always overllook the simple things.
Does anyone have any special halloween plans...I don't.
Sharon- your post yesterday made me giggle. The way your husband woke you up to ask you if you were sleeping...ahhh to be married again...hahahaha!!!
Kevin- Let me congratulate you early on reaching your goal!!! Yeah!!!
Lisa- the state and all their wisdom...it's funny how we are supposed to be a paperless society...you should see all the filing cabinets I have at work of paperwork!!!
Well I better get going and get ready for work...Have a nice windy day...bye!!!
Good Morning on this morning of the eve before Halloween.
We will be going out to dinner tomorrow night. At the most, we only get 20 to 35 kids at the door. Most of them live on this street, and are here before 6.
Today is just another work day.
Nancy, how are your furbabbies doing?
Kevin, congrats on your weight loss.
I am heading out the door early today. I need to get some go juice into the car, are I won't be going anywhere.
Hugs,
LISA
Good Morning everyone!
I posted yesterday but realized last night that it disappeared. By then I was too tired to repost. Not sure what happened.
I got all my treats made on Sunday afternoon. Rick even helped. That was a sight. The two of us in a VERY small kitchen with him having his way of doing things and me having my way ... Actually he was a lot of help. Everything turned out really cute and they disappeared really fast yesterday. There are a few left overs today, but all the ghosts were gone first.
We had a benefits fair at work yesterday and lots of good information was given out.
The cats are ok. Beemer is doing his usual hiding but we are able to get to him when I come home from work and late at night. Smokey is doing LOTS better. He just needed medicine.
Tomorrow I am bracing myself for about 100 Trick or Treaters. Always a fun time.
Crystal, I am sorry that you had to work late yesterday. Congratulations on speaking to "the hunk" Think of him as a potential friend not a romantic date and conversation will be more casual and easier.
Sharon, I am sure you have a lot on your plate today. You always do.
Lisa, I remember the state and their lovely wisdom and changing their minds at a drop of the hat. I dont miss all that paperwork. They always presented the new ideas as if there were no hassles, system changes etc and that they could be implemented without a hitch. Yea -- right.
Chris, how is the liquid diet going? You have courage girl. If that was me I would have waited until the last day to start!
Dawn, when do you start your volunteering duties? How often will you get to do this?
Karen, things sound like they are going ok for you. Enjoy your grandkids for trick or treating.
Kevin, congratulations on making goal so early! That is fantastic!
Randy, dont get lost in the Python world.
Everyone have a great day!

Hello friends,
Guess I forgot to post yesterday. Making progress on knitting to be mailed before Christmas. Kay has had laryngitis for the last week so it has been quiet here. She finally went to the doctor yesterday and got some meds. She's been sick over a week. Hope I don't get it. We have to go to Carbondale and St. Louis this next weekend. My mom is turning 95. She refuses to have a party so we will just take her out to dinner. We are meeting a friend for lunch at our favorite restaurant. That will be fun. We haven't seen him for a couple of years. Not much on the agenda today except a much needed haircut!
Have a good day!
Connie

Every once in a while when they change servers out of have to create a new drive here in the village the IT guys does what is called a migration. They are moving files from one drive to another. Makes things slow to also being down like what you experienced.
My husband does the same to me and then I cannot get back to sleep - ticks me off. He always manages to do it to me when I am just about asleep!
The liquid diet has been tough for the first night and part of yesterday. I did not go to bed with that overwhelming hunger pangs like I had on Sunday - just little ones. Naturally, I was drawn to Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives last night. I love that show. I have found that drinking plenty of warm liquids helps with the hunger (or perceived hunger). I also have been pushing off drinking my Bfast and that helps.
We have the nature center right out the PD's backdoor and what I did for lunch yesterday was go out for a walk. I can always drink my meal at my desk. Today I am going to walk the complete loop of the boardwalk that goes over the swamp and wet lands. It will take me not all of my 1/2 hr. I walked about the same amount yesterday and I was back in the building in about 25 minutes. On other days I will head over to the library (1/4 of a block away) and just walk around.
