Monday Roll Call
Week 5 of my Python course will be waiting for me after I help unload the truck at the Irving Park Food Pantry.
My ankles are hurting and I only walked a mile in two and three block stretches yesterday. I guess it is time to get out and warm them up.
What are the rest of us up to?
Randy, good for you for getting out there. It was so gorgeous yesterday. But Sundays w/o the Bears is boring football for me. I am looking forward to tonight. I will have to TIVO the first quarter because I have a Zumba class that goes til 8p.
Karen, a puppy is so much work, but so worth it. I hope my dog (she's 12) lives a long time, because I spent so much time training her and she is my perfect baby.
Nancy, I'm sorry you have been to the vet so much lately. I hope Smoky feels better. Hopefully it will be a shot and no meds. Keping my fingers crossed.
Crystal, you are tenacious. I had a visual of you at exactly 10p hiting the enter key to get that phone....now we just need to work on you getting that man........
Lisa, I hope you relaxed a little this weekend. It sounds like you were pretty busy.
I lost 5 lbs this week and hope to keep losing. I am 14 lbs away from the 100 lb loss mark and I have my eye on that goal, big-time.
Have a great day everybody!
Sharon
I am sitting here relaxing eating my breakfast...which consist of cottage cheese and walnuts.
After getting my cleaning my house and doing my laundry I was relaxing and playing around with my phone. I was having so much fun with Siri...iphone's personal assisant. You can ask it any question.
I asked every insane question I could think of...yep I'm sure everyone with this phone has done this...I hope...I hope I'm not the only one that has done this. But it was fun anyway.
Then I talked to Amanda for a awhile. She will be getting her job assignment soon. She is excited to find what she will be doing for two years. Charles got sick with a stomach bug...but he's feeling better. But her cough is still there. As a mom I just want to do something but she's too far away.
Sharon- I wish there was a button at 10pm I could push to get that guy...hahaha. But I am just not experienced enough (I have had one boyfriend/exhusband Amanda's father) to be so confident and walk up and talk to him. So that also tells you the last time I dated on a regular basis was 25 years ago!!! But this is the first time in a long time I have had a crush on someone.
Nancy- I am going to send you some major kitty wellness prayers. Your poor kittys. I hope they all feel better soon.
Well I got to finish getting ready. See you all later...Have a good day...bye
Nancy - My prayers to are there for your health issues and for you kitties. I love kitties but it is just not in the cards for us to have any right now.
Lisa and Karen - May your pains suside and be bearable.
Dawn - May the Rockford airport know how lucky they are to have you.
Crystal - May this job and location be suitable for you to settle down for a while.
Chris - always keeping you and Dave in my prayers and remembering you every time I see stupid behavior in need of LE. We have a lot of women officers in the 16th. I am planning on attending a CAPs meeting this Thursday.
Steven - I do not know you but keep up the good work.
Good morning!
Looks like it might be a dreary day but since I am going to start a new knitting group at Woolgathering I am a happy camper. I did what Kay calls a "connie" on Saturday. I was at the library and saw a woman who looked hispanic so I went up to her and asked her if she knew of a Spanish conversation group in town. She didn't know of a group but she volunteered to meet me next Saturday and chat for a while! These are the kind of things I do that Kay would never do. She was amused at me. I've been wanting to practice my Spanish and maybe learn French since I have time now. So I've got a start!
We had a pork porterhouse at Social Friday night and have been eating the leftovers ever since. It was the best pork I have ever eaten in my life. Expensive too unless you figure out we have had at least five meals out of it and that makes it as cheap at anything!
Have a good day!

It is nice and warm outside so I will take today even if we get rain. That means less of that white stuff!
I am starting out the day in top form. I managed to totally lock myself out of the office computer system and it took 45 minutes to get in! What a way to start the week workday.
Sometime over the weekend I lost a front tooth. I cant believe that I do not know when I lost it but it is gone.

Randy, it sounds like you have a productive day ahead. It is great that you volunteer for the food pantries. That is such important work.
Crystal, I can imagine you sitting there talking to your phone!

Sharon, You always have a full day.
/crystal, you have to meet this guy before the weather turns bad.
Connie, I love your connies. I could never be that forward.
Nancy, between your furbabies and your health....................
Karen, glad you are coming back in and posting.
Randy, I am sure everyone is grateful for your help at the food pantry..
btw, I am getting some downtime in everyday. With my own health issues, I need to. Nothing new, just ongoing.
Bad rains this morning, and it looks ;like it could start again
Hugs,
LISA
Lisa,
Sometimes Kay just can't believe what I do. My dad was the kind of guy who introduced himself to people and when I was a kid a hated it and now I d it all the time. We've made friends with people *****gularly sit near us in restaurants, met people on trains. The library is a mild situation but doing it in Spanish was not unique but fairly rare. I met a family in Italy and tried to talk to them with the little Italian I know, Spanish words in an Italian accent and hand gestures. Had a great conversation. That was a good one.
I've met people who went to college where I did or grew up near me in St. Louis and I met them in Rockford, stuff like that. Also now that I'm thinner I do it more. Kay just walks away and does something else! LOL
To me it's such fun!
