 Good Morning,

Its off to work for me today. No other plans. I hit the bad rain coming home last evening. I really don't mind the rain, its the other cars splashing when they pass. I know, I do it too.

I have a Dr. appointment tomorrow. Maybe I will be able to get to the bottom of a few questions I have. Such as, why is one leg swelling up double what the other one is doing, and what can be done for a small tumor in my back?It had been there for years, but it is itching like crazy.

The one good thing that happened yesterday, was, I have talked to my boss, and she is letting me set up appointments fot Thursdays, instead of walk-in appointments. So, maybe my Thursdays will go smoother.

Have a great day,
Hugs
LISA

Such as, why is one leg swelling up double what the other one is doing

Sounds like venous insufficiency and it can happen more in one leg than the other or both can be equally as bad. It is a common thing especially if a person has varicose veins. The valves in the arteries do not open and close as they should and therefore fluid collects in the lower extremities. I have it also and if you remember I had (supposed to . . .) to wear those "boa constricter" compression hose that went all the way up to the thigh. If the doctor thinks that this might be the issue you probably will go for a venous doppler test. It does not hurt too much, just where the wand is pressed hard over a sensitive vein.

Christine, that is one reason that I made the appointment with the Dr. I have worn those stockings for years. Plus I am on new meds for cloresteral,  and I have to see about that.

Good morning!

Off to a workshop today. Going to keep my license for another year, but enjoying retirement. Went shopping in Kay's closet, LOL, and found stuff that fits me, especially one teal jacket that I gave her because it was too small. Looks great now! Such fun!

Have a good day!

Good Morning Everyone!

Well, the news on Beemer was what I expected.  He is not in balance with his insulin yet.  They upped the dose again.  I have my fingers crossed that this is the right dose.  He did not rush to the food bowl this morning.  They can only increase it slowly and in little increments.

Randy, sounds like another intense day of studying for you today.

Lisa, I hope you get to the bottom of your leg swelling.  Is it painful?  It could be a blood clot.  It is important to get it checked out asap!.  Let us know.  Also your comment yesterday was interesting.  I thought they could not cut people off if the temp averaged below a certain level.  I did not realize that they could now cut you off in the middle of winter.

Connie, I love closet shopping!!  I have never thought to do it in someone else's closet.  That would be even more fun!    Enjoy your seminar today.

Crystal, you have not talked about Jasper lately. How is he doing?  Does he like his new living quarters?  Also are you hosting Amanda's kitty while they are gone?

Sharon, I admire the hard work and exercise you are doing.  You go girl!

Everyone have a great day!

 Good Morning All,

I am sad. My grand-baby will be 5 years old on Sunday and I have not seen her in 2 months. My daughter suffers from Borderline Personality and stopped taking her meds 3 years ago. At that time, this began. We go thru this a few times a year. Last year it lasted for 6 months until my mom passed away. Then she started letting us see the grandkids again. We get cut off periodically for random issues. Last time, it was because I let my grand-daughter play an age appropriate computer game on my laptop for 10 minutes. She never tells us why, we just think that may be the reason. We have gone to therapy as a family and her psychiatrist states as long as she does not take her medicine there is nothing we can do. Illinois has no laws for grand-parents rights. I pray everyday that God fixes this. I know He will someday.

I have strictly been adhering to my diet and have started losing weight again. Woohoo!

Connie, I,  too,  love shopping in my old closet...the one from 100 lbs ago. I am finding things in the spare closet I have not worn in 10 years! The quality is so much better than anything i could buy nowadays.

Randy, I just bought some under cabinet lights at Menards. They had so many different kinds to chose from at many different prices.

Lisa, I hope the new plan for Thursdays works and you are not so crazy-busy.

Nancy, I am praying for Beemer. I know it's not easy. You are an awesome mom for your patience.

Thanks for listening. I am ashamed to tell anyone close to me. It's good to tell somebody.

Blessings,

Sharon

 Sharon,

I am so sorry to hear this.  I can imagine that this must be incredibly hard for you.  I pray that it can get better.

You mention that Illinois does not have grandparents rights.  I am not sure that is true.  Check with AARP.  They have been working for years to get grandparent rights across the country.  I think you can obtain visitation rights but it will take a trip to court to get them granted.  That may not be something you want to deal with.  It is such a sad situation.  It makes it more difficult when medicine can help and they refuse to take it.  I worked with a bi polar person and when she refused to take her meds it was a disaster.

Hugs to you and prayers for strength and patience with this situation.

Good morning Randy and the rest of Illinois!

I am working as usual and have an appointment over lunch to see about volunteering at the Rockford Airport.  Sounds interesting and it might (just MIGHT) be a path to a paying job.  I have been interested in working in the aviation field so we will see.

Sharon, please feel free to share!  That's what we are here for.  I understand your pain.  My 19 year old son has "issues" and there is nothing we can do since he is over 18.  We have to wait it out and hope he gets his head together sooner rather than later.  He KNOWS what is right.

Gotta get back to work.

Everyone have a lovely day!

Tell someone that you love them!
