Tuesday Roll Call
Good Morning Everyone!
It was a chilly morning but promises to be a beautiful day today! I hope everyone has a spectacular day.
Today I have an electrician coming to fix a breaker. Beemer urinated on an outlet and that was the end of that breaker. He has also been a real pill about his shots the last two mornings. The vet has said that the pottying outside the box will end as soon as we get his blood sugar in balance. That cant come soon enough for me.
Nothing else really happening today for me.
Crystal, I just looked at your before picture and your pictures now and it is amazing how far you have come!
Connie, I am happy to hear that the fistulas have almost healed!
Lisa, I am glad you are back to a 4 day week!
Sharon, how are all your exercise classes coming?
Randy, hang in there with your studies.
Chris, I am thinking positive thoughts for you during your upcoming surgery.
Dawn, I hope you had a nice weekend away.
Take care everyone!

Hi Nancy...and Everyone,
Nancy, I am so sorry about Beemer. I know you are at the end of your rope. Have you thought about having him stay at the vets for a few days until his sugar is regulated? I dont know if that's an option, but at least he would get regulated and it would be a fresh start for both of you. You could visit him daily. Also, have you thought about locking him up at night in a bathroom so that he is catchable in the morning for the shot? I had to do that for the ear medicine issues. It made Schnorri spitting mad, but atleast I didnt have to search the house for him when he hid in the morning. It is for their own good and they hate it, but we have to do what we have to do. There is nothing worse than a beloved animal urinating all over because they are stressed or ill.
I missed being here yesterday. I left the house early at 7a to swim then I went to breakfast with a girlfriend. We wound up going to Walmart and Sprts Authority. I then had to meet with the trainer for weight training and then rush to my Zumba class. I finally was home at 7pm. My husband pointed out that he thought I was taking it to the extreme and I had to agree with him. I was so tired that I didn't even enjoy the Zumba class. That is rare for me. So today I am going to just take a day off from swimming and only weight train. I have house-group tonight and I always enjoy that so much because of the praise and worship music.
The day looks divine. I am going to try and get some work done around the house and then play in the yard with the dog.
Have a great day!
Sharon

I would love to hospitalize Beemer but the doses have to be increased gradually for a week at a time until we hit the magic number. I wish there was an easy answer. I would lock hime in the bathroom at night but so far that is the one place he has NOT peed. I dont want to tempt him with another room. Sigh. He goes back to the vets tomorrow. I hope we are almost there with the meds. Sigh.

MIT course programming assignment is kicking me in the head but the teaching team decided to give everyone an extra day.
I need to find more time to allocate to next weeks assignments but first I hope I can tweak what I have to get this weeks program submitted. I signed up to do three hours on the phone for O today so I have to be careful not to mess around too much downtown afterward and I have twenty minutes right now to make one more tweak before my morning ablutions and absolutions.

Good morning Nancy and the rest of Illinois!
So sorry to hear about Beemer. Maybe Sharon's suggestions will help? It is a hard road.
I had a very nice weekend! Friday night, I made the flowers for Olivia's final Homecoming dance for the year. Saturday, her and I went to Monroe for a "make-over" day. Got our hair and make-up done. We took her over to her boyfriend's house, met his parents and took some pics. Then, off to Milwaukee! We got to the hotel (which was lovely) and went out for sushi for dinner.
Sunday, we went to Octoberfest in Cedarburg, WI and I had very wet feet due to improper shoes. We went to the Cedarburg Winery and picked up a few bottles for gifts. Then we went to downtown Milwaukee and stopped at a couple of places. At the Wicked Hop, we shared a "Bronzed Duck" Quesadilla then over to the Public Market to try the Lobster dinner for $ 13.95 which we also split. YUMMY!!!!!
Then, back to the hotel for some relaxation in the hot tub and pool.
Yesterday, we slept in a bit then stopped at the Smoke Shack for lunch (AWESOME and I still have some for today) before heading to Madison.
In Madison, we stopped and checked out Ale Asylum's new digs. Then, off to Trader Joe's for me and Brasserie V for him. I met him over there, we shared some frites then headed to Bosco to check on Shirley at "Dots". Home to Liv cooking dinner and back to reality.......
Today, back to work but off tomorrow afternoon for a check on my ankle and Liv's pre-op appointment.
Crystal------congrats on the 100's!
Connie---thanks SO much for the info. I emailed Dr. Garren this morning and he replied within 5 minutes! AMAZING!
Everyone else----know that I am thinking of you!
Gotta get back to it!
Have a wonderful day!
