Wednesday Roll Call

 I saw this recipe on the Chew and tried it because it was such a quick healthy dinner. I am not a person who cooks with wine, so i replaced the marsala wine with chicken broth and some lemon juice. It came out great. It is easy and I had everything in the cupboard when I made it.

Hi there!

I was in Madison yesterday for a CAT scan to see about my fistulas. That went smoothly and then I went up to the 6th floor to see all the nurses who took such good care of me. Almost everyone was there and it was really fun and they were so excited to see me walking and healthy. I know I love it when I run into an old client and they were certainly fun to visit. We stayed overnight because I had a workshop to go to today on dealing with people who are emotionally manipulative (to keep my license even tho I'm not working). It was an excellent workshop. Kay got to go to the Apple store and take some one on one training.

I had a reaction to the medicine used in the Cat scan and despite pre-medicating with steroids and benedryl I am bright red from head to toe and itch like crazy. Hopefully I won't need another CAT scan because this itching is HORRIBLE. I had trouble sleeping last night. Benedryl wakes me up instead of putting me to sleep. I think I'll try tylenol PM tonight.

About the discussion on advil. My doc said it can cause ulcers or stomach erosion just from being in the blood stream besides the fact it is hard on the pouch. I don't think I'd risk it.
