Hello everyone

Today is my Amanda's birthday!!!  I am happy and sad of course.  I am happy because every mother is happy on their child's birthday...but I'm sad because Amanda is so far away.  But she is living a dream she has had for 10 years and I am thrilled she is getting the biggest birthday gift...I mean she gets to celebrate her birthday in PERU!!!!  That's cool!!!

Well yesterday was interesting in a good way.  I forgotten I had an appointment with my regular doctor...thank god for iphone reminders.  So I went there for my regular migraine check and we were talking about my eyes and I was trying to get him to prescribe me some antibiotics (hahaha).  He said I needed an eye doctor that this has been going on too long.  I told him I had gone to an eye doctor and he first told me I didn't have an infection but then he said I did.  My doctor told me he wanted me to see the eye doctor in his practice and he could get me in that day.  So I said OK.  I saw that eye doctor and he said I might have had an eye infection but after the 2 different antiobiotics and antinflamatories...I don't have one anymore.  He said what I had now was a severe allergic reaction to the last drops I had taken.  He said the inside of my eyes were so red and swollen.  So I am on eye sterroids now.  And you know what I can already see an improvement!!!!  The good thing is I can wear eye makeup again...yahoo!!! (new eye makeup of course, with new brushes)

By the way my doctor was very impressed with my continued weight loss.  He said my exercise and eating habits is something he wish he could get all his patients to do.

So I am off to get ready for work now.  I hope you all have a good day...BYE!!!

 Good Morning,

Crystal, it is good that you are finally getting to the root of your eve problems.

Now, if we could only get Dawn and Nancy taken care of.

Only 2 more days, plus today until the weekend. No plans, but then I get to do what I need to do. One of these weekends I will take a total me day. I am sure it will happen at some time.

We are going out with friends for dinner tonight. Most Wed. and Fri. we do.

YHave a great, if cool, day.

Good Morning Everyone!

Happy Hump Day!  And Happy Birthday to Amanda!  It is one she will always remember.  I got to celebrate a birthday in Poland.  It is indeed a unique experience that you do not forget.

Beemer is off to the vets today to see where he is at with the stabalizing of his diabetes.  He has been a good kitty and has had all his shots this week so there should be signs of stability. Claude is being his usual venturous self sneaking out of the house every evening -- Bad Kitty.  Gizmo is living up to his nickname of Dennis the Menace as I caught him on the kitchen counter this morning hovering over the toaster while I was preparing an English Muffin.  He was trying to stick his paw in the warm toaster slot while the bread was heating!!!

Randy, are you ever going to see the end of Pytheon?  Are you now taking the class for credit?  You are one dedicated individual!  I admire that.

Crystal, I do hope you are finally getting to the bottom of your eye issues.  It has been going on long enough.  I cant imagine have irritated eyes for this long.  I would be batty!

Lisa, it is chilly but beautiful out there.  I hope you enjoy your dinner out tonight.  IT is nice not having to cook a couple nights a week.

Kevin, I am glad things are going well for you and that you are getting to enjoy so much time in Door county.

Chris, I know your surgery is coming up fast.  I hope all your pre planning is going ok and that Dave is all better so that he can take care of you!

Sharon, what whirlwind schedule do you have planned for today?

Dawn, I am hoping that you are feeling better today.

I hope everyone has a great day!

I am taking one couse for a certificate through Coursera offered by a team from the U of Toronto for which I will get a certificate and it is seven weeks.  I am on the third week.  I am taking a second class throgh edX offered by a team from MIT for a certificate and it is also for a certificate.  It will end in January.  The third course is also offered online and is by a prof at U of Michigan.  I have completed the work for it offered in the other two but it goes own to cover web development and data base query which I will be filling in along the way likely after I finish the seven week course.  This way when I complete all three I should feel competant in building several projects I have wanted to work on for years and move on to Microsoft's Visual Studio with Visual C++ which will put me back at a skill level that is highly marketable.

 Hola All!

Crystal, I am so happy the eyeballs are getting back to normal. Happy Birthday to an amazing woman. Your Amanda is a giving, selfless lady and you deserve a lot of credit. My daughter, Katie's
birthday (she's an only child) is always a milestone for me as well.

Randy, I cannot sit down for anything these days. It cannot be easy learning a new computer language. Is this something in your field? Your brain must be firing like crazy. I know I need to sit down and start doing some brain games to stimulate my mind. I walk backwards, I heard somewhere that is good for the brain.

Lisa, enjoy your hump day and going out tonight.

Nancy, your "dennis the menace" is like my wolfie, always into to something. A while back,  I noticed his left sided whiskers were half gone. My husband told me he jumped on the stove while it was on and his face caught on fire! Life would be so boring without my cats. Im glad Beemer is being a model patient and getting better. Poor baby!

I have Zumba and weight training today. I am making chicken marsala for dinner tonight. It is delish and takes only 10 minutes to prepare. I will post the recipe.

Have a great day all!

Sharon

I have one hundred and thirty five semester hours from mostly the University of Houston in Computer Science and have worked for Exxon as well as other small companies and myself using those skills for building programs to process seismic data, home prices and commodity prices.  I have no degree because about 30 of those hours are in bible, religeous edujcation and drama.   When I was huge I also lost my ability to concentrate but it is returning now.

Very impressive, Randy! I am not degree'd either. It is truly one of the things I regret. Have a good one, Sharon
