Saturday Roll Call

Good Morning,

As usual, it is Saturday and I am up way to early. I do want to clean house todayand pull all remaining tomatoes. They are saying  hard frost for tonight.

Connie and Kay, welcome home.

Karen, I am glad your life is getting back together.

Crystal, You got some great deals at Good Will.

BTW, I posted a couple of pictures of the closet on FB last night.

Lisa, I cannot find you on FB, but I know you have been working on that closet for awhile and it must be awesome.

I, too, was at Goodwill yesterday. I have noticed they have been cropping up all over. Must be a sign of the times. They had so many beautiful winter coats and i was shocked I fit into so many!

It's funny how we get used to something and then there is an "upgrade" and we aren't sure why it's an upgrade. I am referring to the new format. I know I will get used to it, but I miss the old format right now. I noticed they are highlighting the surgeon's names more.

Today I am going to take it easy. No plans right now and I have to say I like that feeling.

The new OH changes stink. There is a post on the main board that people are going into and making comments.

We have a baby shower (with a twist) today with a group of WLS loosers that we met many years ago on another forum. The shower has a neat theme to it - instead of getting all of the usual gifts we are all bringing books to create a library for the little guy. We had fun yesterday at Barnes and Noble finding books for the stages of his early life. The only bad thing is that we have to drive to the NW side of Chi-town - yuck.

Hey, I think I resemble that remark.  Have a great time at the shower. 

I agree with the new OH changes. If I was new it would be difficult to find this forum!

Hello everyone

Ya I did get some good deals at Goodwill...and to my surprise they gave me an extra 15% off.  I wanted to check out the Goodwill in Joliet.  My favorite will still have to be the one in Champaign.  I found the best stuff there. 

Today I am going to drive to Aurora and meet up with some friends.  Then on my way home I am stopping at Meijer.  They don't have one in Joliet and believe it or not there is a certain brand of almonds I like and I like the individual 100 calorie packs.  They are the only store that carries them....and I stop there and stock up when ever I can.  I also have some house cleaning to do. 

I am not looking forward to this Winter..I hate the cold.  You know where Amanda is, is just starting Summer...so she is skipping over Winter all together...I say no fair!!!  But on the down side she said it will be VERY hot and there is no AC at all!!!  Yuck!!!  But then again when she is done with her training she might get placed in the mountains where it's cold...I got to talk to her on Facebook again last night!!!!

Well I am going to relax a bit have a wonderful Saturday all..see ya laters...bye 

 Mainly just staying inside.  Need to go to Jewel for a few items later and will finish a Python week 2 assignment for U of Toronto and start the course from MIT.

I am not doing much. I have done a wee bit of house work. I am fighting a cold so I am resting, I don't want it to settle and cause me to have an asthma flair up! I am tight but the meds are making it better. 

 

I have a chicken slow cooking to make chicken soup. My favorite comfort food!
