Hello everyone

Sorry didn't post yesterday.  I had a bad morning.  I lost my contact on the floor and my 6 month supply doesn't come in for 12 more days.  So I had to wait till after work to pick up a new pair.  I was so upset with myself.  I was so excited to go into work and be able to see and show everyone.  After I lost my contact I just sat and watched the news.  I didn't want to "waste" my vision on the internet.  Lately by 2-3pm my eyes are very tired (I thought it was the pink eye but I didn't have pink eye).  So I wanted to save my eyes for work.

Well this morning all went well with my contacts...and I can see again.  I hated it yesterday.  After going two days with good eye sight it's hard to go a day with bad eye sight.  My far sight is OK...but my near sight (or anything within arms length) is BAD...I'm blind as a bat!!!  I actually needed a magnifying glass yesterday...hahaha!!!!

Good news...after 3 1/2 years and 154lbs...I am within spitting distance of 199lbs.  I am hoping Maybe next week I can hit this milestone!!!  YEAH!!!  I am so excited!!!  I haven't seen the one hundreds since I was 21...20 years...Amanda was 6!!!!

Georgie- enjoy your laptop!!!

Christine- I am always thinking of you...hope you feel better soon.

Dawn- You talking about Liv's homecoming reminded me of Amanda's.  I have a framed picture of Amanda's.  She was all dressed up and ready to go and she still had her jeans on underneath her dress and she was just sitting there on the stairs.  It was just so Amanda...I took a picture...I'm so glad I did.  It's still my favorite picture.

Nancy- you haven't complained about work lately...which is a good thing???  I hope.  hahaha!!!

Well I have to finish getting ready for work see ya later.  Have wonderful day all.

 Good Morning,

I am hoping it is just a cloudy morning, and not one to turn rainy.

Work will be kinda slow this week, except for Thursday.Next week it starts getting crazy again.

With next week starting to be a new month, maybe, if we all cross our fingers, and toes, everyone willl be feeling better.

Kevin, you look fantastic.

Crystal, I hope you make the under 200 pound mark in the next few days.Happy Birthday one day early to Nancy.

Yes, the weekends fly way to fast, But the weeks do too.

Hugs,
LISA

 Hello IL,

The chill is on the pumpkin.

It's a non-stop busy day today. I have aerobics this morning and weights this afternoon with the new trainer. I have house group tonight. In between all that I have to figure out what to feed the hubby for dinner. I've been doing laundry and thankfully that is almost done. I'm still in that garage-cleaning mode as well. That is going to take longer than I anticipated.......

Crystal, what a few weeks you have had with eye issues. Glad they are winding down. Congrats on the weight loss. I cannot wait to say I have hit the 200,s. I know I will weep!

Nancy, Happy Birthday Eve. I hate celebrating my birthday. I dont know why, but I've always felt that way. In any case, I pray it leads to a healthy new year for you. How's Beemer with the shots?

Christine, 14 vials of blood? He must be thorough. You are in my prayers that everything will be great.

Carla, I'm sorry you couldn't make it back to your hometown. Chicago is the kind of place that hunkers into ones heart. When I was away at school, I was so homesick for the Second City. Our dream is to move back into the heart of the city someday. I live in the SW burbs. Hopefully you will now heal from your surgery and get some needed rest.

Dawn, I have Katie's homecoming pic on my dresser. She is wearing a beautiful dress with a black leather biker jacket and black army boots. She is glaring into the photo because she is mad I am taking another pic. Hilarious!

Georgie, a new laptop is so cool. I am a dinasaur and love my desktop. My laptop is thick with dust. Now my hubby wants to buy me a an IPAD, I'm like, "for what?".

Lisa, I'm glad you are getting a breather this week from work.

Have a lovely day everybody. God has blessed us.

Sharon

Hardly felt it as she used one of those butterfly thingies. No bruise today either.

Tried to get into the Dictionary chapter in the Python I was studying and for the moment the reason for that data structure escapes me.  So I am starting the new course with a new platform and hoping by the time I have re-emphasised the basics I will get the designers reasoning for the Dictionary data structure.

Randy

So you have been forgiven?

 Hello Everyone

I posted this morning and see that it did not submit.  So will try again.  Beemer is hanging in there.  He wanted no part of the shot yesterday morning but took it like a trooper last night.  This morning, it was a no go.  Perhaps he does not do mornings?  He must have felt better because he gave Rick a Beemer hug last night and he is selfish with those.

As far as work goes it has it's ups and downs but it is holding its own for now.

Crystal, I am so sorry you lost your contact.  From my contact wearing days I learned two tips to find them.  One is to place a nylon hose over the end ot the hose of your vacuum and then sweep the area.  The contact will be picked up but will stay in the nylons.  The other is a flashlight shined with all the other lights off will often help that contact stand out.

Lisa I am glad your week is calm right now.  I like those calm periods.

Sharon, you are one busy woman.  I could not keep up with you!

Randy, if I started subtracting years at 30 I would be minus one this year.

I hope everyone had a great day!

Crystal, you inspired me to pull the contacts out of the cabinet and put them in again. Since January I had not worn them due to stresses in my life.

I am one of those people that can wear contacts out of the box for up to 12 hours after not wearing them for a long time and I did that today. Usually I sleep in them but I had a lot of 'puter time today and my eyes are tired. I have prescription 'puter bifocals that the doc ordered for me. When I got home I put the finishing touches on a necklace that I had found unfinished (added eye strain). There aren't any crimp beads/covers or clasps on it yet but it will in time.

For everyone - I am not feeling badly nor sick. I am more depressed and unhinged with so many doc appts. as I have had since the fall of '11 when the quack started testing me to death. I have discomfort in my lower right belly as I have had for years. My WLS doc thinks it is a continuous build up of caca and the bowel is moving around. I am not sick from it but I do feel it in the course of the day.

I made a hair appt. for next Wedn. When the" S" hit the fan back on June 25 with the fall/obstruction for us I let an appt go. I have gotten used to a little longer hair but boy is it wavy and I am not sure what Shelley will be able to do with it.  I want wash 'n wear but to style it also when need be. She is good. She had already mentioned to me a few weeks ago that she had her thinking cap on. The interesting thing is that the hair on the top and near the crown is almost straight but the sides and back are WWWWWAAAAAVVVVVYYYYY and thick. It needs to be thinned. Also something that is interesting is that I let the color go back to gray/natural brown. The gray almost looks like I have natural streaking and the hair is so soft and healthy from no chemicals. I also use Bosley hair treatment shampoo and conditioner. It is a formula to bring back the natural growth of thinned hair. I have been using it for 1 1/2 year and it does work. It promotes hair growth (you have to continue to use it though). You could see my scalp before I started it. It is expensive but I use only about a flat penny's worth of each when I shower. A quart bottle goes a long way.

Dave has been "living" on the Golf Channel watching the Ryder. Needless to say it is in our own back yard. He is going to take the train to Medinah tomorrow (one stop west) and walk over to "see" whatever he can see. I told him if someone has a ticket to sell - buy it. I have lived here my whole life and have never stepped a foot on Medinah CC. Sigh. I am charging my pocket camera for him.

TEEHEE  I had a memory bite about my first set of contacts. I accidentally washed one of my "eyes" down the drain. Stupid me had the faucet running when I was taking them out. Don't ask me why . . . just saying I have been dumb sometimes. I felt so dumb 'splaining to the eye doc what i did. I did not like those lenses as they were mono vision and back then they were not made for an Astigmatism. I loved the concept but I could not see. Maybe in time they will come out with them. I should ask the next time I go in for a check up.

I have Accuview for Astigmatism - love them but I still need to wear reader bifocal glasses for paperwork and the 'puter.  To me it is a small price to pay instead of bifocals for distance and up close. The readers are on my head the majority of the time. In he past I have gone to bed with them on my head.

I have Accuvue for Astigmatism too, since the multi-focal contacts that are made for astigmatism are $$$$$$$$$$!
What my doc is doing is also called "mono-vision" (I think) but I don't have to use readers unless the print is really, really small.  What it is it that I have one eye calibrated for distance and one calibrated for the computer (since I spend 90% of my time at one).  It was a bit to get used to at first, but now I LOVE them.  It is only "interesting" if for some reason the wrong eye is blocked........

Tell someone that you love them!

Monovision and me do not get along. I cannot see in dark conditions. Now that was 10 years ago and they might have made improvements.
