Wednesday Roll Call
Hello everyone
What a difference the right antibiotics make. Just one days worth too.
What the doctor did do was. ...he said what doctors offices do is run a test that detects the presence of white blood cells and nitrites in your urine...then prescribes you the basic antibiotic. What he is doing is sending my sample off to be cultured to find out exactly what bacteria I have so he can prescribe the exact antibiotic I need. He thinks I have an uncommon or resistant strain. But in the meantime he prescribed me some strong antibiotics and said he would change them when the culture came back if need be. This is the 3rd course of antibiotics to try to treat this UTI...and I am not prone to UTIs. This is the first time I had a problem with them in like 15 years. I got drops for my eyes.
I am going to work today. I am skipping the gym today again. I will see how I feel tomorrow.
Can you believe how cold it got so fast. After such a hot Smmer I was thinking we were going to have a warm Fall...I guess not. I wanted it cooler but not this cool.

Dawn- I hope Liv's ear problems get better. I don't know what it is you were talking about...it kind went over my head...hahaha.

Knitting and more knitting is the agenda for today. I have about half packed for the trip and all the clothes organized but still on hangers. Have to stop the mail and newspaper. Getting excited to go, especially to see all my friends who will be on this cruise. I haven't been this weight since '92 so I'll be a surprise to everyone. That will be fun!
We are going to breakfast with friends so I'd better get off line.

I recently saw on the news that women are developing weird strains of UTI 's due to eating chickens. I have aqua aerobics tonite and not much else. Yesterday was so busy I am a tad tired today. Have a great day! Sharon

Sharon- That's interesting. I'm a big advocate of eating organic (antibiotic free meat and such) but when I was living at my family's house I ate what they ate which wasn't organic. I couldn't very well demand them to buy organic. It would seem plausible I would develop a UTI from the chicken because we ate chicken 4 days a week. Especially, since my body isn't used to it I have been living on organic meat now for 3 years now. I have of course went back to my organic chicken. Now you gave me one more reason to eat organic!!! My goodness.

Good Morning Everyone!
It may be cool, but at least it is sunny. I can live with this! I got to the doctor's yesterday and he sent me for more blood tests. I am retaining fluid really bad and he thiniks that is what is causing the shortness of breath. I am on massive diuretics to try to get this fluid out of my body. It is so bad my legs are weeping fluid. I am being referred to a wound specialist for the cat injury. I go back in a week.
Crystal, I am glad the antibiotics are helping.
