Saturday Roll Call
I have been up for awhile now...I haven't been sleeping well. I think I will sleep better once I hear from Amanda, which will be sometime this weekend. I have managed 3-4 hours restless sleep a night the last couple of nights. Oh well maybe I can take a nap.
Well I worked out yesterday and I pushed too hard and gave myself a migraine. I was able to get rid of it fairly quickly. I am really trying to get back into the swing of things and start losing weight again. I forgot to mention...remember I was so worried about how much weight I may have gained. Well I was relieved to find out it was only 9 lbs...and I am determined to get rid of it ASAP. And start losing again and I have at least 50lbs more to lose. All of this motivation is coming from my daughter. Before she left she asked me to take good care of myself and told me to promise to keep working out and eating right. She said she didn't want to worry about my health while she was away. So I promised her I would take good care of myself and I would be healthier when she gets back than I am now...and she was really happy!!! How can I let her down?
So anyway today I have some errands to run and some things to do around the house. Then of course work out. What are you guys up to??? It looks like it will be a beautiful day...I would like to wash my car but it always seems to be a day or two away from raining. I think I will wa**** any way.
Well have a great day everyone....see ya later...Bye
Even though, I am not currently working I still love the weekends because there is a different vibe and my hubby is home. He and I are always doing something together when we can.
Last night we went to Al's Steak house in Joliet and since Nascar is in town we saw many drivers and their pit crews. Everyone kept oooohing and aaaahing but I had no idea who these folks were since I do no****ch nascar.
Crystal good for you for gettng your weight back on track and only gaining 9 lbs. I am seriously thinking of joining a health club for the weight training benefits. I get my aerobics in with the circuit training and zumba aquatics but I am not consistent with the free weights at home.I find that my back tightens and I am afraid I may do some damage. Now a-days there are so many inexpensive gyms with no binding contracts so I am thinking this may be my next step. There is one in my chiropracter's office right here in Lockport so I may try that out.
Today is going to be gorgeous.
Best,
Sharon
Sharon- Everyone is different, but for me at home exercise just isn't for me. I tried and failed miserably. The biggest problem is that I make excuses not to o the exercise when I do it at home...I don't know why...I just do. I had a treadmill too...but it would go unused. Next thing is I just am not a Peron that likes to do exercise videos...I have plenty of them.
I seem to be a person that if I have a gym to go to with equipment to work on...then I will do it...hmmm weird I am lucky that the apartment complex I live at has a small little gym.
But I did hear some of the videos can be hard on your joints and back. I would say try it out you might like it. I love the elliptical machines because they are so forgiving on your joints. Also, the weight machines are great too.
I need to pay some bills then get a bit more variety in meats and veggies in the house.
I have plenty of brisket and hamburger patties but should get some chicken and fish.
Independance Park Farmers Market last week was fun but I really cannot be eating the corn. The giant squash and zuchinni is yummy as are the cheese curds and yellow tomatos.
Crystal - it has to be hard knowing Amanda is so far away and out of contact. I am glad to see you are using this as a motivator to be healthier.

I am loving this weather.
Today, I want to pick up the house, get on the gazell, go to the farmers market, maybe Krogers,
Then we are heading to Morris, to see Hubert's 94 year old aunt for her birthday.
Crystal and Sharon, keep motivative.
Randy, you may try a pork tenderlion also. They are a lean cut and good either hot or cold.
Christine, you and Dave have a great day planned. Egg Harbor has to be my number one choice for breakfast.
Connie, enjoy your cruise. Our next one is in 18 months.
Hugs,
LISA
Crystal, I don't exercise consistently at home either. I have to go to a gym. For me it's about having others around.
Today is knitting group and then a party this afternoon at an old friend's new home. Looking forward to it.
