Hi folks!

Up early because Kay is teaching today. I am going to wait fr a friend who is going to do some work for us.

Had a fun day knitting yesterday. Also went to my attorney to update my will.

Book discussion Tuesday was great. Have any of you read "the Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks"? If so I'd like to discuss it with you on line. Next month we do "Gone girl" and after that "Lucy". These should all be great discussions. I highly recommend all these books. The library here has several book groups and also has free computer training. I'm just learning all that the library offers--amazing!

Have a good day and enjoy the cool breezes!

Connie

Hello everyone

I am tired...I had trouble sleeping.

Well Amanda is officially on her way to Washington DC.  She will be there for an intensive all day orientation.  Then tomorrow it's off to Peru where she will stay at a facility for 3 months for training job, culture and language training.  Then they will be place with a family and begin her "official" Peace Corp experience.

Yesterday I was fine till the last minute when I had to say good bye and I completely fell apart.  You're talking to a person that held it together for her wedding and when she went away to college.  So I tried for a tearless good bye and it didn't happen.  Then she refused to leave me till I cheered up because she said the last thing she saw of me driving away...was me crying.  So she made me laugh and I was fine in about 15 minutes or so.

Christine-  I hope you feel better soon.

Well off to work soon.  I have been off of work for two days so it will be interesting to see how much I will have waiting for me.  Have a good day all.  Bye

Good Morning Everyone!

It is going to get cooler again today.  We are back in the yo yo weather.  Fun.

Yesterday was much better at work.  I am not sure what was wrong with people Tuesday.  The only thing we could figure out is that it was 9/11.

Today after work I am running errands then home.  I am back to my 5 day work week.

Crystal, I know you will be very sad today.  Try to think of all the adventures Amanda and Charles will be having.

Lisa, enjoy your play.

Chris, hope the Benett household will soon be the picture of health.

Connie, enjoy exploring your library!

Everyone have a great day!

 Good Morning All,

I just sobbed as I read Crystal's good bye to her adult daughter. Nobody can make me cry like my 33 y/o daughter. I sobbed when she went away to college, I sobbed when she got married, I sobbed when she gave me my first grand child. Watching them go be the people they are meant to be is beautiful and sad at the same time. I miss being Katie's mom when she was little and lived with me, but I love being Katie's mom now that I see the woman she is. What a blessing God gave me when He gave me motherhood.

Well I love Zumba Aquatics. I never laughed so much in my life. I am hooked. What a work-out.

Tonight we are going to the roof top concert at the Joliet Museum. It is a fund-raiser for the museum and it will be lovely to see Nova Soul Quartet perform under the stars.

Have a lovely day my dear ones.

Sharon

Hello Connie and IL!

Just dropping by to check in.  Crystal, I can't imagine how difficult it was to say goodbye to Amanda.  Will you guys be able to SKYPE at all?  If so, at least you can "see" her that way.  I hope that works out...but I certainly understand she may be in an area/country with limited internet access.  She is really beginning the journey of a lifetime..

Christine, I am so sorry to read about your health issues.  I think I told you before that Chloe's mom has had adhesions that she has had to have emergency removed.  They can wrap themselves around all kinds of internal things.  Good luck and will keep you in my prayers.  It has been a trying health year for both  you and Dave!

Sharon, I used to work in Joliet, so when I see your Joliet/Lockport references, I usually know what you are referring to .  A dear friend of mine just moved from Lockport to Florida to be with her daughter.  My friend's husband passed away quickly and unexpectedly last year.  She sold her house and headed down there the end of Aug.

I can tell you are all keeping very busy, as usual.  I am having my annual party for some former bank co-workers on Saturday.  Looks like the weather will be decent, and hopeful we can spend time out on the deck!  Been busy getting ready for that.  Kinda forces me to do those things I do once a year or so....like cleaning my 3 curio cabinets.  Last weekend, it was so beautiful, I washed my windows inside and out.  A couple of years ago, I bought one of those squeegies (sp) that has a "fluffy" pad on the other side to wash my windows.  It works wonderfully...to me, so much better than windex and papertowels, plus SO MUCH faster.  Highly recommend!

Well, just wanted to say hi while I had a few mins.  Everyone take care.

Have a super day, IL

You know what it was Chloe's mom's doc group that let me down. I am so ticked off right now it is not funny.

Yes, I remember you telling me about her issues and being at ABMC. My issues have been wrappig themselves around themselves for years and I mentioned this to Dr J K Jr and got no response - I am at this point so done with him.!

I kinda thought maybe it was. Amy has always gone to Dr. Guskie. I think Dr. K Jr did an exploratory one time when guskie was out of town and I met him when he came in to discuss the results.  Those adhesions can be VERY nasty and PAINFUL, which I don't have to tell you.  Sorry about your problems and hope everything goes well for you!  Take care.  I'll be checking to see how you are doing!! georgie

Georgie TEEHEE payback is great for my WLS office because my doc now has one of the Kane Center's nurse and we have also had their program co-ordinator for over two years. So, too bad for them we have the good ones and they  do not.
