Sunday Roll Call
I have never been more home sick than I was yesterday after my smoker was making my neighbors think the building was on fire. No smoke alarms going off. Just a lot of stupid people. One lady actually tried to convince me to become a vegan andsaid I needed to lose weight. I am on the verge of coursing out all of Illinois.
Please tell me some of you are not like thes folks.

Hello everyone
We are going out today for a family get together. It will be so nice to see everyone in the family. It's raining it wasn't supposed to!!! I hope it stops and doesn't ruin our day!!!!
Randy- I find it incredibly rude that someone would suggest that you need to lose weight. People are just so funny that they think we don't already know we need to lose weight. Do they think we don't try??? Ugh...the audacity of some people just kills me. As far as the vegan thing...I wish I could give up meat but I am a carnivore through and through (I hate most veggies). And I find the smell of smokers heavenly...I guess maybe I should move to Texas too..at least the Winters would be better.....hahaha!!!!
Nancy- What did you name your new kitty??? I like people names for animals..you know like Charlie or Lizzy...but that's just me.
Well I am off to start my wonderful day...I hope you all have a wonderful day too.

The Fair in Marselllies yesterday was, in my view, a total waste of time. I will not be going to it again.
Hubert has decided to redo our compleate closet. He has plans all drawn up. Now we will see if it happens.
BBQ ribs are on the agenda for dinner. Hubby isn't to fond of them, but I can serve them a couple of times a year, and not get to much flack.

It is a beautiful day here! Crystal, you will have marvelous weather for your time at Starved Rock. No rain in sight.
The new kitty has the name of Smokey. Maybe he needs some of Randy's BBQ.
He is a smoke colored tiger striped cat with very long legs that do not stop! He already knows his name so he is a quick learner. He and Gizmo have been having a ball together which is what I intended. They both have the same energy level so that gives the rest of the kitties peace.
I got a Thunder shirt for Beemer and Fluffer at Pet Smart. It is to calm them down and it really works. Crystal, if you take Amanda's cat you might want to get one for it. I had seen them for dogs but never for cats until Friday.
Randy, I am so sorry you have such narrow minded neighbors and ones that are so rude to boot. If I was a fast thinker I would have told the one that said I needed to loose some weight that she needed to learn some manners!

Congrats on your new baby. I love cats. I'd have more if the law allowed. Lockport only allows for 3 per household and I am at the maximum.
I have a question. You mentioned something about a Thunder shirt for cats. I have read about these for other animals but never for cats. How does a cat respond initially to it?
I have a cat that I inherited from my mom when she passed away. This cat is so sweet but he was never around anyone but my mom until he was 3 and when they moved in with us, he stayed close to her and rarely left her bedroom. Well he is 7 now and he has attached himself to me (which I love) but he is a bit of a scardy cat. He is always hissing at everything and I know it is because he is afraid and I'd like to help him. I've tried essential oils and the flower essences in his water, but these have not helped him.
Don't cats hate anything on them? How long has your cat been wearing it and how has it been?

I got my thunder shirt at Pet Smart. It was $39.00. I had a small battle with Beemer in getting it on him but now that it is on, he seems fine with it. It is adjustable. It was just something new for him. I must say his behavior has improved 150% he has attitude and stress issues and takes his moods out on others. Now he is a very nice kitty for everyone to be around. I recommend it highly!
I has made him a lot more mellow. I alos use the calming pheromnes that are in a dispenser that is shaped like an air fragrance dispenser. They are expensive but I must say when the bottle is empty, I see all kinds of stressed out kitties. When full, they fully relax.

Randy you keep bbqing when ever yu want!!!!! Dont let you neighbors bully you!!!!! tell them off like I do!!!! I think some of the people in the chicaog area are rude and obnoxious. I give them a peice of their own medicine!!!!! Carla
by the way im still in the hosiptal, I seem to be having a problem with my endocrine system.
