Good Tuesday Morning Illini Land

It may feel like Monday but it is Tuesday so we are on the second day of the week.

Hope everyone had a great weekend and got plenty of relaxing and fun done.  Now it is back to work and our noses to the grindstone.

Fall seems to be a time when we get back into our routines.  That is good for us.  What routine have you been lax on this summer?

I hope everyone has a great week.  Any exciting plans?

 Hi Nancy and All,

I, too, am excited for a little change in the season and new ways to workout outside when the heat is gone. My pup misses her walks in the morning. I throw the ball but it's not the same for her. She misses all the new smells life has to offer.

Today I am going with a girlfriend to look at an over 55 community. I am looking forward to this. She is looking to move there, I am going along because I am nosy.

Yesterday, I got to spend time with my nephew who works and goes to school and rarely has time for anything fun. He is 20 and I adore him. It was so good to hug him and be with him. I have adored this kid since he was a newborn and now he is 6'5 and a man. He said, "this is my first day off in 4 months and I'm spending it with you and Unc". I was delighted. He stayed late and we had a blast hanging out.

Well all, have a great shortenend week.

Best,

Sharon

A quick run by for me.

I will help unload a truck at Irving Park Food Bank then come home to clean up, rehydrate and try to convince myself to get this File section of Python under my belt so I can get into the real meat of the language.

Good morning Nancy and the rest of Illinois!

I am back to work......ugggh!  The weekend was ok.....I kind of layed low, haveing a bit of tummy trouble.  The lawn tractor pulls were fun for most.  One tractor blew his transmission.......The food and friendship were good though.

We are having Riley overnight for a couple of nights this week while her mother takes a very deserved trip.  I am excited, Riley keeps us on our toes, that's for sure!

Not much exciting in the northwest corner of the state.....

Everyone have a wonderful day!

 Hi All,

Well, my first day back to work was mostly uneventful. We had a few bad ones, but mostly good. We will see how the rest of the week goes,

Sharon, it is always nice to " look", you never know when the info will come in handy.

Dawn, I am sorry you had tummy problems,  But the tractor pulls sound like fun.

Randy, what program are you working on?

Nancy, I agree with you. It is Tuesday, but it sure felt like a Monday.

Where has Christine been?

Connie, what is your next knitting project?

I think I will be taking a shower and relaxing the rest of the evening.

Huggers to all.

LISA

I am here - reading. I have had an eventful summer. Just keep in mind that I am chief cook and bottle washer - I do the lawn/yardwork, laundry, take out the garbage, clean up, buy gifts for parties (next door), keep an eye on the neighborhood (keep the rif raf out - oh well part of my employment) and plan the entertainment all while working full time. Oh well, I am still young so Dave says and should keep working . . . He does not have to work for the jerk that I do. (he has not been bad lately (jerk that is) but my co-worker sucks) (I love my family more and more . . .  usually you do not get along with your family but they have quirks AND I do not have to live with them!!!!).

We have several things this Fri, Sat & Sun. Oktberfest in Itasca, 50th Anniversary for wonderful friends on Saturday and then the Sandwich Fair (DeKalb CO Fair) on Sunday which is our love. We head out real early on Sunday (before dayliight), go to Mass (I was raised Catholic and once a Catholic always a Catholic, went to 12 years of Catholic schools) early while listening to the livestock and then we enjoy the fair after that. We also go to the Evangelical service after Mass.

Are you tired yet???? I have been.

it's called a Vortex scarf. I'll try to post a picture after it's done. There is a great website called Ravelry and that is where I got the pattern and most of the patterns I use. There are hundreds, if not thousands, on line that are free and tons more you can pay for.

Just curious.......have you done any patterns by Mary Beth Temple?  She is the mom of my "New York daughter", Katy, that Liv met in Marine Biology Camp.  Mary Beth used to do costuming on Broadway and now has a knitting and crochet design business.  Katy is her model.
