Tuesday Roll Call
Well for me its a short week of work. I have a 3 day weekend coming up. I love these
holidays. Things have been going good for me. My Mom and Dad came home from being on a month long cruise they enjoyed them selfs very much.
I also have been keeping the same weight since I lost it.
I hope everyone has a nice week and enjoy the holiday coming up.

I am looking forward to a three day weekend also. I am having my annual get together for my former bank friends on Sept 15 so cleaning time!
I wanted to tell Chris I was in her neck of the woods last week. I took Chloe's mom, Amy up to alexian to see one of her drs. She is having some health probs, and her dr was able to get her in that day to see a neuro guy, so it was great we didn't have to go back up. I drove 530 miles that day!!! From Manteno down to Mahomet to get Amy, then back up to Elk Grove, then to Hoffman Estates where the neuro doc was, back to Mahomet and then back home. Omg! A total of 8 hrs in the car!
We are hoping everything works out. She needs some tests, so hurry up and wait.
Not much else going on. Everyone enjoy your h
oliday. We are heading into fall. Where did the summer go!? Have a great day.

I did that first thing before even finishing my first cup of coffee or taking my meds but while enjoying my sunlight lamp. I normally play a game of freecell to make sure my mind is ready for others. I switched to Mahjong for a while but decided that was too much for most others.
So I want to spend the day finishing strings and maybe moving on to files.
There is a new missionary couple coming to Mt. Olive tonight so I also plan to go see what they will be doing. They will be going to a Muslim country. To me I think we need major missions to Muslims right here.
I forgot this was Labor Day weekend...OMG 3 day weekend...how could I forget!!!! Yeah!!!!
I had a nice long talk with Amanda on the phone yesterday. We were making plans for her visit before she leaves to Peru. Her birthday is in October and mailing her gifts to her is ify in Peru (they might get stolen) so we decided I will buy gift early before she leaves...actually I insisted. She would like a good travel purse. She only has cutesy, girly, hippy purses. So purse shopping we shall go!!!. Then she was telling me how her grandma was doing. Then we were talking about the hurricane about to hit New Orleans. This is a concern to her because she was there for the clean up and she has done a Habitat for Humanity program several times that rebuild homes in that area...this area is close to her heart.
I made carne asada last night. It is marninading so I will be eating it tonight...yummy. I will be eating it with some tortillas.
My eyes were doing really great...then I forgot to take my Allegra for ONE day and I wake up and look in the mirror and looks like someone put red dye in my eyes. No wonder I thought I had pink eye...geeze it looks horrible. I took some Allegra ASAP...and put some Visine in and hope it will look normal soon. What the heck. I made an appointment with my old doctor...the doctor I had before I moved to Champaign. I loved him. I am so happy to be back with my wonderful doctor.
Well I hope everyone enjoys their Tuesday....bye.
It is great to see so many people already here this morning! Georgie, I will call you the road warrior from now on.
I too am looking forward to another 3 day weekend and then that next week I have Friday off as well so I only work 3 days. I will take it!
I too, am worried about the hurricane hitting New Orleans as my niece lives there and I do not think she is evacuating. I tried to reach her last night but could not get through. I sure pray it does not end up as bad as Katrina. IT is ironic that it i****ting on the anniversary.
Another beautiful day today. Enjoy!

Good morning!
Crystal, check out Baggalini purses for your daughter. They are the perfect travel purses. I've used on for years and they are light and have many compartments. They are the best and I've had knock offs but these are worth the cost. I think my last one was maybe $50 but it will last probably as long as I do!
Today I am going to a spinning group (wool not exercise) and then to a yarn shop with a friend. We both need lace needles and there aren't any here in town so we are going to Marengo. Then I need to go to the grocery store to pick up some things we didn't get in Madison. It will be a full day.
Enjoy today and we're all looking forward to a three day weekend (but since I'm retired they are all three days! LOL

I am heading to Premium Outlets with my daughter Annette this morning. Also re-exchanging cars. I will be happy to get mine back.
This is my last 2 days of freedom. I return to work on Thursday. We will celebrate the end of summer/labor day with a family bbq on SAT. Then attend cruise night. It was totally rained out last year. I hope the remments of Issac stays away.
Georgie, you asked where the smmer went? It flew away.
Have a great sun shining day.
Huggers,

I am working as usual and thinking about what to make for the weekend. Saturday is an annual party that we attend which is pot-luck. Sunday, we have choices of 2-3 different things and my brother says he might come out. Monday is the "Rock City Thunder Nationals Lawn Tractor Pulls" in my driveway. We always grill and pot-luck for that too. So, I am searching through recipes for something good.
That's about it for me for now.....gotta get back to work!
Everyone have a marvelous day!
I made a big pot of chicken soup this morning. I love boiled chicken and had a half of breast for breakfast.
I read a quote yesterday that made me smile; "The only zen you find at the top of a mountain is the zen you bring up there." I'm going to try and create some zen today, have not figured out what that will be yet.
Have a great day!
