Thursday Roll call
I have been dealing with a UTI the last couple of days....UGH. It's been the worst at night. I have been getting up 4-5 times to go to the bathroom. As I pointed out before I am without insurance till 9-1...but my friend Monica has a sister that is a doctor. Her sister was willing to phone in a prescription for antibiotics based on my symptoms. So I am now taking some meds...thank god for small favors.
Today after work I am meeting Brenda and family because it's niece's birthday. We are going out to eat and then we are going to see a movie...I forgot the name of the movie.
Well what are you guys doing today???
Have a great day...see ya later...bye
It is Friday for me. I am so glad as I am having a relapse of my illness. I am not sure if the antibiotics are causing it to flair up or if I was exposed to anothr virus but I feel like crud. I am glad I have tomorrow off.
Beemer is going in today to get another Lion haircut. He needs it badly! I wish I could work up the nerve to do Fluffer but his fur is so soft and silky I cant bring myself to do that.
No special plans for the weekend. I do want to sleep in tomorrow.
Crystal, I am sorry you are sick. How fortunate that your friend's sister was willing to call in a prescription.
I hope everyone has a great day!

Did not get into my school work yesterday so still must do that.
August is a hard month for me as my mother and brother both had birthdates in August and I miss them greatly.
I highly recommend investing in a Ninja blender. They are not that expensive and they do a wonderful job in making smoothies and shakes as well as blending anything. They crush ice and make frozen drinks as well. I will never get any other blender type appliance after having one of these.

OK, it is time for both of you, Crystal and Nancy, to quit being sick. I hope both of you find the help you need before it turns into something worst.
Randy, November is my bad month. I lost both parents, a cousin and an uncle, different years, but all the last 2 weeks of the month.
Monica and I had fun yesterday. We shopped the Amish food stores in Arthur and Arcola, then went to Urbana to a BBQ she knows called Lil' Porgies. Great tasteing, saucy, messy, St. Louis style ribs. I ordered a 1/3 rack (4 ribs), that came with fries and bread. Ate meat first (like we are suppose to.) then tryed to eat the bread, 3 bites, and pushed away the fries. They were soooooo good.
Today, I am picking up the house, then after 4, we are taking our crossover to our other daughter Annette, and chaning cars with her until Tues. They are driving to Minnisota for the weekend.
Have a great day,
Huggers,
LISA
Ugh,Crystal, UTI's are the worst. There is that stuff you can get at the pharmacy for the pain and weird uncomfortable feeling from the UTI. It makes everything bright yellow but it works!
I got my bullet at Costco and recall I only got it because the price was so low.
The weeks are just flying by. i cannot believe it is starting to get dark at 8p already.
I made the most delish chicken last night. I bought bone in chicken breasts cheap and salt and peppered them. Then I browned them in 1 T of butter and 1 T of olive oil in a skillet on the skin side for about 5-7 minutes. I then turned the chicken and put the skillet i cooked them in, straight into a 450 degree oven. After 20 minutes I turned the breasts again and cooked 20 more minutes. It was divine. I had it with a tomato salad from the garden. I could only eat 1/4 of the breast so that will be lunch today.
I am very sad because my neighbors are all moving. All are doing short sales and I am so disturbed about how this economy is hurting so many good people. I live in a subdivision and yesteray my mailman told me about 1/8 of the houses have been effected.
Hope EVERYONE has a wonderful day today.
Blessings,
Sharon
Good morning everyone,
I have to get a new iron today. Our old one died and we are people who actually use an iron with some regularity. I saw a picture of an iron on one of those facebook "do you know what this is?" questions. I just had to laugh because I knew I was going to buy a new iron. I have known what all those FB questions and still have many of them. Did you see the Beloit College list? The current college freshmen have never seen a paper airline ticket. Unbelievable! Oh well, I'm old, so sue me! LOL
Other than my brief trip out I have nothing planned for today. Knitting and reading will be right up there!
Have a good day!
Connie
