Hello everyone

I had a productive day yesterday.  Work and working out and then I came home and put my TV stand together...so that's done!!!

Of course anyone who is Facebook friends with me know I scalded myself yesterday...I poured boiling water on my hand.  It hurt but surprisingly there is very little blistering.  Good thing too...I don't have medical insurance till September 1st!!!

I have no big plans today.  How about you guys???

Have good day...bye

 Good Morning All.

Crystal, don't you feel stupid when you do  something like that? I hope your hand isn't burned to bad.

Randy, Seafood Stew sounds good. Are you using Dawns recipe?

I had a partially productive day yesterday. I did get the weeds pulled from arounf the garden fence, and started putting another quilt together. Today I will problaly clean and cook. I may run (drive)  to the $$ store for a couple of things.

Have a great day,

Huggers,
LISA

Good Morning Everyone!

Another beautiful day outside today.  I think I am going to be spoiled with this weather!  I will take it for as long as I can get it.

Today I am suposed to have my doctor appointment.  We shall see.  I am almost over the cold but still am coughing a lot and still a lot of sinus issues.  So still need something to completly clear it up.  It did involve the ear this time and it hurt.  I was too stubborn to go to urgent care.  I have never been there and just was hesitant to go.  Plus I have some other on going issues that I need to address.

Crystal, I am glad you are not terribly hurt.  How did you manage to scald yourself?  That hurts!  Ouch!

Randy,  I am assuming you have lost your brother.  Those special rememberance days are so difficult.  Hugs.

Dawn,  you are a wonderful survifor.  I always admire just how upbeat you are regardless of all that goes on with your life.  I do hope that you can find a wonderful job.  You really deserve one.

Debbie, I imagine you are back at school.  I hope you have a great group of kids this year.

Sharon,  I am enjoying getting to know you.

Kevin,  I too wish I had known that you were in the Peru area.  I live in LaSalle and would love to meet you.

Lisa, this summer has flown by.  Plus you went back to work for part of it.  IT does not seem like you had any time off.

Connie, I am so delighted that you are almost back to normal.  It has been a long year for you!

Everyone have a great day!

Nancy-  I don't like Urgent Care....they never give me anti-biotics when I need them.  I go to my doctor and I get antibiotics...because he knows how I get sick.  He knows I need them.  Urgent care only gives them if you have a fever...and I never run a fever.

I scalded myself when I was draining my spaghetti.  I was pouring the water out of the pot into the drainer and I got it all over my hand instead of the in the drainer...what a dope am I!!!!

Your reasoning on urgent care is exactly why I did not go.  It turns out that I have bronchitis.  My doctor told me that there was no reason that I should not have gotten in to see him that first week.  I have a feeling that his staff will be getting lectured tomorrow.  I learned that he has fired over half of them and I think he needs to fire the rest.  So at least he is trying.  We had a long discussion.  I have been with him for over 20 years.  There was also a great discussion in the waiting room.  All of us agreed that he is a fantastic doctor with cruddy help.  Hopefully he will finish cleaning house.

Hi friends!

Yes it has been a long year. I can't believe I am almost at a whole year. In fact it is ten months today.

Yesterday I hadn't planned much and when I went downstairs to block two shawls I started organizing my yarn stash. I was just going to go through a couple of boxes but I ended up doing it all. I "found" enough yarn to make a sweater in a color I forgot I had and another lucious lime yarn with enough for another sweater. I'll be warm this winter.

Have a great day folks!

Connie

Good afternoon Crystal and the rest of Illinois!

I did not see where you got scalded, Crystal----OUCH!  Glad there is not much blistering.

We have decided to take Riley on her first camping trip this weekend!  We have been wanting to do it for a while, but last summer got away from us and this summer was so HOT.  I just got the family together, checked schedules and made the plan!  I have asked David to "head it up" as he is the Scout and I don't really care for camping myself.  I WILL do it for Riley though.  So, I am having fun looking for recipes and activities that might intrigue her.  She made a comment to her mom about how she did not think she could LIVE without the TV........

Nancy, I hope the doc can make you better.  It stinks having a cold that just hangs on and on and on.

Gotta get back to it......

Everyone have a splendid day!

Tell someone that you love them!

Hello My OH Pals,

I was at the vet today, my little guy, Wolfie has an eye infection. Poor little dude. 2 different eye drops and oral meds every 12 hours for 7 days. That is not going to be easy. Wolfie is a cat by the way.

I am amazed at the number of tomatoes I have had this summer. No zucchini or cucumbers though. The peppers have been paltry (try saying that 5 times fast).

My computer has been acting weird so I uninstalled Mozilla and I think I am back in business.

Randy I am so sorry about your brother. Birthdays can be hard after they leave us.

Crystal when I get a burn I use lavendar essential oil. It works like a cham. German chamomile also is great. I use lavender for sun burns as well.

Nancy feel better.

Connie, Lime green is one of my favorites as well. Are you knitting or crocheting? My mom used to knit.

Berts, thanks so much for those fish recipes. I intend to make every one. I really need to incorporate a substitute for meat a few days per week.

Lisa, I give up on the weeds. They have won the battle in my yard.

Have a lovely rest of today. I am off to make BLT's.

Best,

Sharon

I'm a knitter. I can crochet an edge but I don't like crochet very much. I love to make hats, scarves, mittens, sweaters and lace shawls.
