Monday Roll Call
Good afternoon Steven and the rest of Illinois!
I tried to get on and post this morning, but no luck. Most of the time lately, OH clogs up or something and I don't have time to wait 5 minutes or so to be able to post.
So.....I made the ricotta yesterday and it is yummy! Add a bit of milk and it is cottage cheese! Ihad some for breakfast! I was surprised at the small amount of curds.....just like the recipe said.....about 2.5-3 cups. OUt of 21 cups of liquid! I froze all the whey and plan to try some of those ideas as to how to use it. The "Grandma bread will be first as I think my family will love it.
I also made a batch of Greek yogurt and some homemade buttermilk. Then we had beer can chickens on the grill. Yummy! Only problem there is that the chicken is SO good that even with cooking two, there was barely enough left overs for Todd and I for lunch today! I might make the rest of the family cook for a few days.
Todd and I went to see Peter Frampton on Saturday and MAN, if that guy a great guitar player!
That's about the extent of my excitment for now.

Hi Im going to bring up the rear!!!!!
I am driving back to Denver again. Ive only been home about 3 weeks. I have a friend who has stage 3 bone cancer and she is not doing very well. Her 57th birthday is augurst 20thand we are surpposed to have a surprise party for her but I am going to see her before that. I am having surgery on the 20th for a femarol hernia that day too. My car is pack and ready to go in the morning. Ill be in Chicago for a few days on my way back cause Ill need my hair cut and colored and I will desend upon my daughter to do that........
Ill probably be in Denver for 6 weeks again. My husband asked me if I was moving back there haha..... I said no......
