Saturday Roll Call
Going to a birthday today for a one year old. Time flies.
What are the rest of you up to?
Ahhh Saturday....what a wonderful day.
I am starting to stress about the move. Not a bad stress. Just going over everything I have to do in my head....stuff like that. I do it every time....why should this time be any different???
I was up wayyy too early this morning (4am...all part of the stress) so I hopped on the internet and was shopping for book shelves. I think I found ones I like at Target. I had leave my old ones behind because they wouldn't fit in my storage unit and there was nothing or no one else that could take them. So I have to buy new ones to house all of my books. I have been mostly buying books on my Kindle lately...I now have 210 books on that thing!!!!
We had the BBQ last night...it was nice. Then afterwards I was bad and we walked and got icecream!!!! Then we watched Phelps win the gold again last night.
Today I am going to start packing up my stuff here. the stuff I don't use daily and get it ready. Then I will do some laundry. That's it for me. How about you guys....??
Well I will continue to enjoy my day...I hope you do too...Bye
Today is starting out in frustration too.Yesterday, after trying to find the ink for my printers, I decided to just wait for today, and get it in Bloomington.
Frustration number 2 was trying to download pictures off of the phone, so I could print some of them for the scrapbook. They wouldn't download. So, I took it to the friendly phone guy. He told me just to pull down the top menu and follow it. That didn't work either . So, I made an appointment with him at 9 this morning. Not bad, other then we have to be in Bloomington at 12:30. O.K., lets see. An hour with him, then about an hour to get ready, Hubert will be home by 11:30, an hour drive, shouldn't be to late.
Morgan is being installed as Worthy Advisor for her Rainbow Girls group, at the Masonic Lodge today. So, we will be there.
Thats how my world is going today.
Randy, you probably think Bonfire, instead of Fire, when people talk about having one.
We are under a "no burn", ruling here. I am sure a no watering one will be coming.
Crystal, just relax. You will get moved and within a week you will be unpacked.
Have a great day and stay hydrated.
Hugs,
LISA
Good morning friends,
It's going to be another hot one today, but we don't have any plans which require spending much time outside. I want to go to knitting today and watch the Olympics tonight, maybe even this afternoon.
I have a few shawls to block (soak in water, towel blot and pin to a board to stretch) and that's about it. I wanted to do this last night but I was concerned that I wouldn't have enough stamina to climb up the basement steps after dinner. This is a morning or early afternoon task.
Dawn, I think the ricotta sounds awesome. I have a similar recipe from the Barefoot Contessa but it is made with heavy cream. Delicious I'm sure, but too high in calories. I'll give your recipe a try this week.
I've been thinking about baking bread this week. It's probably the last thing I need to do enless I can figure out who to give it to! We do share meals with a couple of other couples because even the small recipes we eat all week.
Have a good day folks and stay hydrated!

It was RAINING here! A nice big thunderstorm
Today was not as I had planned. My sister called early this afternoon. She took her husband to the hospital in Kenosha as she thought he was having a heart attack. He was arguing with her about going and insisted on a shower first. They got to the hospital, there he was stabilized and life flighted to Milwaukee. They have put two stents in today and will put the third one in on Monday. Did not want to risk the third one today as he was having a MAJOR heart attack. He is now resting comfortably and the doctor says he will be ok but he will have to have some MAJOR lifestyle changes. Red meat only once every 2 weeks, no pasta, bread or other carbs. He will not be a happy camper when he finds this out.
I hate that we are getting to that age where we now have to face these issues. I am just happy that it was not fatal. My sister was pretty shook up which is to be expected.
Other than that, it ended up being a business as usual day except shopping was done much later in the day.
Hope everyone has had a great day.
