Looks like the sun will come out but not be such a hot one yesterday.

We had a blast going out to the first birthday for a precious child of two precious people that we have been in small group with for two years.

Knitting and looming are on my mind.  I wish I had a woodworking shop inexpensively at my disposal.  That did not work out.

We took buses to the Metra and then out to the burbs and a taxi to the house.  Our friends tried to amke us take rides back to the Metra or the Blue Line but we were on a venture and I am not sure how many Sherry has left in her.  Had we taken them up on those offers we would not have gotten my protein and supplements that I do not have the new Walmart trained to stock yet and the best tamales we have found so far in Chicago.  Mago's on Fullerton.  We also would have missed getting soaked to the bone.  I personally prefer getting soaked to carrying around umbrellas or raincoats.  I used to go outside and stand and wait for storms like we had yesterday to come and soak me so I could go in and have a nice hot shower afterwards.

Chris stay healthy for next year as I now know how to get to Itasca on the buses and trains but I think there may also be a pace bus.

Good Morning,

It sounds like you and Cheryl had an interesting day.

We had a great day also. After all the frustration with me trying to take pictures off my phone, It was the cord! I got all the pictures now into my files!

Morgans installation went great. Afterward we went to a homey Itatian place for dinner.

Have a grear day,

Hugs,
LISA

Hi folks!

Yesterday was a typical Saturday with knitting in the morning and then going to Social for dinner. We ran into friends there and had a nice visit. The rest of the evening featured the Olympics. I imagine today will be sort of the same. I really do enjoy the Olympics and have watched most of them for as long as I can remember. The runners move their bodies in a way I'm sure my body never moved. It's fascinating!

It's much cooler today and might be a day to sit outside a while and enjoy the fresher air.

Hope you all have a good day!

Connie

Knitting, sewing and making things on looms are possible things in my future.  I do need a new hobby since cooking is not the best hobby for someone who eats as little as I do now.

I think there is a knitting session at New Wave tuesday evening.  That seems like an eternity away at the moment and going out socially except for church and church friends makes me nervous.

 Afternoon Everyone

What is up with OH  I just posted and it did not save it AGAIN!  GRRRR

Yesterday was an eventful day that I hope I soon do not repeat.  My brother in law had a major heart attack and was life flighted to Milwaukee.  He had some stents put in and more will be put in tomorrow.  See yesterday's post for more details.

After about 2 inches of rain   Rick and I ventured out for dinner and then to Walmart.  We got home and settled in for the night.  I got comfy in a robe and was in the bedrrom and looked down at my leg and saw a spot.  I reached down to see what it was and evidently it was a scab on a vericose vein.  Well, it fell off and blood started pouring out EVERYWHERE!  I have never seen soo much blood.  No matter how much pressusre I put on it, it would not stop.  We finally put a tourniquet on it and Rick drove me to the ER.  By the time it got looked at, it had stopped.  They wrapped it in a pressure bandage, did some blood work and told me to follow up with my doctor.  Well blood thinners and a popped vein do not mix.  What a mess!

I would just as soon not repeat this adventure any time soon.

Hope everyone has a great day!
